The next day, Nia woke up with a heavy head and a heart full of chaos. The rain last night seemed to have left its mark on her, not only in her mood, but also in her confusion. She tried to get out of bed, but the tiredness seemed to pull her back into bed. Nia decided to start the day with her morning routine even though she found it difficult to move.
In the dining room, Richard was already sitting with a cup of coffee in his hand and a newspaper in front of him. When Nia entered, Richard smiled at her, although his smile did not completely cover up his worry.
"Nia, morning," Richard greeted her softly. "You look tired. How did you sleep?"
Nia forced a small smile. "Morning, Uncle Richard. My sleep... wasn't very good. But I'll be fine."
Richard nodded understandingly. "I know this is all very difficult for you. However, if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know."
Nia sat down in a chair across the table and sighed. "I don't know where to start. Everything feels chaotic. I feel like I can't deal with this."
Richard put the newspaper on the table and looked at Nia seriously. "Sometimes, times like this are really hard. But we can get through this together. Don't hesitate to talk if you have something to say."
"Thank you," Nia said, trying not to let her emotions overflow. "I'll try my best. But, I can't just throw away these feelings."
Meanwhile, outside the house, Ari was getting ready for her first day as Richard's fiancée. She felt a mixture of joy and regret. She walked into the living room with hesitant steps, and Richard noticed her presence.
"Good morning, Ari," Richard greeted. "How does it feel to start a new day?"
Ari smiled weakly. "Morning, Uncle Richard. It feels mixed, to be honest. I don't know what to do."
Richard nodded. "I understand. This is the beginning of a new chapter in all of our lives. I hope we can go through this well."
Ari sat down in the chair next to Richard and sighed. "I want everything to go well. I don't want anyone to get hurt any further."
"The important thing is that we face everything honestly and openly," Richard said in a reassuring tone. "If there's anything you want to talk about, I'm here to listen."
Meanwhile, Nia was in the kitchen, trying to prepare breakfast for herself. She felt a little anxious and uneasy, but tried to keep her cool. As she was serving breakfast, she heard a knock on the door.
Nia opened the door and saw Farel, her brother, standing in the doorway with a big smile on his face. "Good morning, little brother! What's wrong? You seem a bit unmotivated."
Nia smiled a little, trying to hide her feelings. "Morning, brother. I just feel a little tired. There's a lot to deal with today."
Farel raised an eyebrow, seeing how unusual his brother was. "Is there anything you want to tell me? I'm here for you."
Nia shook her head. "No need, brother. I just need some time to myself."
Farel nodded, although he looked dissatisfied. "Okay. But remember, I'm always here if you need someone to talk to."
Back in the dining room, Richard and Ari talked about their wedding preparations. Richard tried hard to make sure Ari was comfortable and confident in his decision.
"Ari, I know this is all fast and stressful," Richard said gently. "But we have to make sure we start this journey with good intentions."
"I know," Ari replied. "I just feel overwhelmed by the situation. I know I've made mistakes, and I hope we can get through it together."
Richard nodded understandingly. "We all face challenges, and what matters is how we face them. I believe we can get through this if we commit to trying."
Suddenly, the sound of the door opening came from the kitchen. Nia appeared, looking a little surprised to see Ari in the dining room. "Oh, good morning, Ari."
Ari looked at Nia with a worried look. "Morning, Nia. I... I didn't know you'd be here."
Nia forced a smile. "I just... just wanted to grab something from the kitchen."
Richard got up from his chair and approached Nia. "Nia, if there's anything we can do to help, please let us know. This is your home too."
Nia nodded, though she looked anxious. "Thank you, Uncle Richard. I just need some time to myself."
Richard understood and gestured for Ari to follow Nia. Ari nodded, stood up, and followed Nia to the kitchen.
"Nia, I want to make sure we can talk," Ari said softly as they in the kitchen. "I know this is really hard for you. But I want you to know that I never meant to hurt you."
Nia looked at Ari coldly. "Ari, how could you say that after everything that happened? I feel so betrayed."
Ari sighed, looking remorseful. "I know, and I'm really sorry. This decision was hard for all of us. I wish there was a way to fix everything."
"I don't know how we can go back to the way things were," Nia said, her voice starting to break. "The pain is too deep."
Ari reached out his hand, trying to calm Nia down. "I know I made a big mistake, and I'm going to try to fix it. But I also want you to know that I care about you."
Nia pulled her hand back, trying to control her emotions. "I'm not sure I can take all of this. It feels like too much to process."
Ari looked down, feeling hopeless. "I understand. I just want you to know that I'm sorry and I hope we can find a way out of this."
As the atmosphere in the kitchen became tense, Richard entered the room and stood beside them. "Maybe we should give Nia some time to reflect. Sometimes, time is the best thing we can give to heal wounds."
Ari nodded. "You're right. I'll give her some space. Thank you, Uncle Richard."
Nia, who felt tired and emotional, decided to go to her room and locked herself inside. She sat on the edge of the bed, trying to calm her mind. When the door to the room opened slightly, she saw Farel standing in the doorway.
"Nia, I know you need some time alone," Farel said softly. "But I want you to know that I'm here for you. Whatever you need, don't hesitate to ask for it."
Nia looked at her brother with gratitude. "Thank you, Brother. I really need your support right now."
Farel entered the room and sat beside Nia. "If there's anything I can help you with, or if you just want to talk, I'm ready to listen."
Nia nodded, feeling slightly comforted by her brother's presence. "I just need some time to reflect and think about what I should do next."
Farel smiled, though he looked worried. "Okay. I'll be here if you're ready to talk or need someone."
Meanwhile, in the living room, Richard and Ari talked about their next steps. Richard seemed calmer and tried to make sure Ari felt supported.
"Ari, I know these are tough times," Richard said. "But we have to move forward and make sure our decisions bring good results."
Ari nodded. "I really want to do my best. I know I can't change what happened, but I want to try to make things better."
Richard nodded understandingly. "I believe we can do it if we stay committed to working together. This is the beginning of a new journey for all of us."
Ari took a deep breath, feeling a little lighter. "Thank you, Uncle Richard. I'll do my best to make this work."
In Nia's room, the atmosphere was quiet, and she reflected
