After her careful movement, she sat on her brother's bed. Watching him silently taking the pain from kneeling on the wooden grater. The sharp tip of grater penetrating deep into his skin, beads of sweat covered down his face.
"Lace" She whispered after half an hour.
"Ana" He curtly said, biting the tip of his tongue, "I'm sorry, I thought it's just the bin" He added, "It's my mistake for not taking a look better"
Nodding, Ana decided to let him go, "I hope this will be last" She uttered, "You know we're in the list of their suspicious richness already.
"I understand" Lace bowed his head after he got off the grater.
"Go and have a rest" Ana whispered before going out of his room.
Making her way to the kitchen, she can still feel the harsh beating of her heart. Grabbing a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, pouring some onto a flute. She leaned against the bar counter, looking down on her feet, she could feel her eyes getting mist with almost fallen tears but she refused, she's stronger than this and she won't let anything happen to this abode.
"Ana" Suddenly, a soft voice called her name.
Lifting up her gaze, she turned to face the small head popping from the door. If she's a new maid here, she'll definitely have a heart attack because of the sudden appearance of this little girl. She's white as snow, and the hallway was already dark, only the light from sconce giving her some way. She's like a ghost who suddenly appeared from nowhere, peeping and watching you.
Placing the flute down to the counter, she walked towards the little girl. "Why are you still awake?" She silently uttered, standing in front of the girl. They were almost the same height but she knows, the eldest was the tallest among them all.
"I woke up and you're not beside me" The dark blue orbs were staring at her innocently, making her heart pulsate with desire.
Humming softly, she shifted on her position before she carefully carried the girl by her armpits. Carrying her like a baby, she sat on a couch on the side. "I'm sorry" She placed the girl on her lap, burying her face on her neck.
"Are you okay, Ana?" Ermellina gently touched her head, caressing it.
"I'm fine baby girl" She kissed her cheeks, "I just can't sleep" She smiled
Pouting her lips, Ermellina leaned against her chest, yawning. Her eyes almost fluttered close with sleepiness.
"Sleep" Ana brushed her scattered hair.
"Rub my bum, Ana" She whispered, "It's too painful"
Ana slightly paused with her action before nodding her head, "I will, now sleep" She whispered, placing her hand on her bottom and gently rubbing it.
She leaned against the couch, her eyes narrowing to the flute of Veuve Clicquot, she fell into a deep thought. But before she might fall asleep in, she brought them both back to the assigned room.
Morning came in, Ana woke up with the sunlight hitting her on face. Grunting, she tightly hugged the soft body beside her, burying her face on her neck.
"Ana" There was a soft pat on her back, waking her up from her shallow slumber.
"Hm?" She slightly responded.
"Wake up" Her world seems moving like an earthquake.
Furrowing her brow, Ana hesitantly fluttered her eyes open. There, she saw Ermellina kneeling and jumping on the bed.
"Ermellina" She softly reprimanded, "Stop jumping" She carefully pulled the lady on her arms, wrapping her arms around her waist.
"Wake up then" Ermellina snuggled up on her neck as she softly inhaled her natural scent, a smile forming on the corner of her lips.
"Five more minutes," She whispered, slightly biting her neck.
"Ana!" Ermellina lightly slapped her arm.
Chuckling, Ana shut her eyes closed as she went back to her dream land.
"GODDAMN IT!" Ana furiously threw the things away from the table, fuming in anger, she slapped the glass table, causing it to shatter.
Maid lined up in front of her, flinching after the glass shattered. They can feel the shiver creeping through their spine as they shudder.
"W-we really d-didn't notice the y-young lady, Madame" One of the butlers stuttered.
"Your duty is just so simple, why can't you fucking do it properly, huh?!" Ana fumed, glaring at the butler. "Find her!" She glared at the people on the side.
They immediately nodded and made their move, to find the young lady and also to escape from the lady's madness. Witnessing her sister's madness, the household turned into chaos just to search for the young lad, Lace started searching as well with the butlers.
Ana clenched her fists, her jaw clenching in anger as she shut her eyes closed. She just fell asleep for freaking five minutes, only to wake up with her gone from her side! 'Not even in her room or somewhere inside and out of the hacienda' Calming herself down before she went inside her room, she suddenly noticed the sliding door was wide open.
Cursing in her heart, she immediately grabbed her black bathrobe to cover up herself before leaping down the balcony. Roaming her eyes around, she can smell some of her faint scent through the leaves she trailed off, she concluded as she started her journey, searching for this hard headed brat.
Clicking her tongue, Ana narrowed her eyes with the sight that welcomed her. 'There she is' She uttered to herself, watching the little girl playing with some mud and bricks, barefoot. She almost lost her wits searching for her, turning the hacienda upside down, yet she'll only find her playing with dirt?! With people she doesn't even know?!!
"Anselma"
The little girl who's busy playing with the mud suddenly shuddered, she thought she might be hearing things cause obviously, she can hear Ana's voice in her mind. Shaking her head, 'she's not here, she won't find us here' Convincing herself, she continues in what she's doing but in a next second, she suddenly dropped the brick she's holding when she caught the familiar face from the side.
"A-ana" She stuttered, stepping back, she was stunned.
'I'm doomed, fudge, I'm really doomed' She whimpered in her mind. Dropping the things she has as she brushes her disheveled hair, struggling to remove the dirt from her arms.
"Come here" Ana solemnly uttered, pursing her lips in disappointment.
"Ana" She called meekly, stunned, rooted to her place. She's not hallucinating, Ana's really here.
"I said, come here, don't let me repeat it thrice"
Anselma nervously licked her sudden dried lips, walking towards her with slow steps. She can see the impatient behind her eyes even though she hid it, not very so we'll. She can feel her heart pulsating in fear, shiver creeping onto her heart once she stood up in front of the source of her fear, Ana's madness.
"Ana" She tried gulping the lump on her throat, forcing a squeak to call her name.
"You never listen" Ana shook her head in disappointment, turning her back as she led the way back to the hacienda, "Follow me"
