Chapter 6 PAST

LILY'S POV

We were to meet up with the Miller's later in order to talk about the marriage. I was feeling a bit dizzy due to the fact that I tired myself out by over thinking.

As I was about to embark on a journey to another world, I had a loud knock on my door.

"Lily, are you in?" I heard my mother's voice making me a little bit upset. What did she have to say that couldn't wait? I wonder to my self. I went to the door to open it.

"What do you have for me? " I asked.

"I was thinking, why don't you invite Ava over to the golf club." My mum said. "You know to reduce your boredom. And so that you could introduce her to the Miller's." My mum added.

"Okay, I'll ask her if she has time." I said to my mum.

"Hi babe, you free?" I texted Ava. After the text dropped she immediately called me.

"Hello?" I said through the caller.

"Hello, lil, how are you? " Ava asked.

"I'm fine and you?" I asked.

"I'm good." She said "What you need me for?" She asked.

"Well, do you remember me telling you when we were in middle school about my parents going France to see a family friend?" I asked Ava.

"Yes, why do you ask?" Ava asked.

"Well, they're in town and we are meeting later this afternoon to play golf, so I wanted to ask if you'd like to join in?" I asked.

"Let me see my schedule. What time exactly are you meeting?" Ava asked.

"Around 1:30 pm." I said.

"Okay, count me in." Ava said.

TWO HOUR LATER.

" Liz, it so go to see you." My mum said as though the did not see each other yesterday.

"How are you? Was the hotel okay?" My mum asked Elizabeth.

"It was nice, our suites were the biggest and most expensive in the whole hotel." Elizabeth said.

"Lily." Elizabeth called out for me. As I approached her she pulled me in for a hug as though I was a long lost daughter.

"How are you dear?" She asked.

"I'm good and you? I responded.

"I'm okay. How was your night? Hope you slept well?" She asked.

"Yes, I did. Thanks for asking." I said as i hugged her.

"Who your friend?" She asked.

"Let me introduce you, Elizabeth this my best friend Ava, Ava, Elizabeth." I said as they both shook hands.

ZAVIER'S POV

As I walked over to were my mum was I spotted Lily. She was talking to my lady whose face I didn't see. She looked stunning. She was in a golf dress which was new to me, so it made her different in my eyes.

As I was getting closer to where they were I wasn't going to be rude to Lily. Recently I've just been so rude to Lily, I don't even know why, my mind has just been playing tricks on me. I think about every minute she's around me, maybe my being rude is just a facade to conceal my feelings. But I don't really know how I feel.

As I was lost I in thought, I felt a little a little hand yank my upper arm. As I turned around I saw her.

"Are you deaf?" She yelled "I've been calling you for a while now but you didn't respond. Or are you ignoring me?" She added.

"Why should I ignore you?" I asked, but she just shrugged.

"What do you want? " I asked.

"I want to introduce you to someone." Lily said.

"Okay." I responded.

"Ava." Lily called a lady who was talking to Lily's mum.

"Zavier this is Ava. Ava this is Zavier." Lily introduced.

"Nice to meet you." Ava said making me nod.

"Do you remember me? " She asked but I ignored her question.

"Wait do you two know each other. " Lily asked.

" Not really, when I went to France two years ago, he helped out with directions." Ava said.

"Oh, I see." Lily responded.
