Chapter 7 7

It nearly had everything on it, from bars, pubs to malls. Even a few bigshots had their residence there but the cruise never sailed, it seemed like an island on the seashore. Or well, until that day! Valeria reached towards the exit of the hotel which was the area right at the boarding of the cruise. Her excited footsteps halted immediately when she spotted the visible distance from the cruise and the harbour.

"What!? How can it be? The cruise had never sailed in years, how come today?" Upon Markos's orders the cruise sailed since he didn't want Valeria to escape from his clutches. She could see the buildings from the window of her room because of the recent sail, the ship wasn't far from the harbor but the problem laid in 'Valeria not knowing swimming!'

"Trying to play hide and seek, bunny?" Markos's voice stunned her and she turned around her fear grew, the man stood there with his five guards waiting for Valeria to give any reasonable explanation of her current act. The woman gulped and slumped on the floor with fright, although she wasn't a weak crybaby type but acknowledging his power and sources...Valeria required a few moments to generate a believable lie!

What!? Did you think she would give up easily?

Valeria slumped on the floor with a pitiful face, the woman put all other oscar winning actresses to shame with her wonderful act. Who would have thought that Valeria Silas had this talent too, the woman's face could melt any man's heart.

'This should soften his heart if he plans on punishing me in any way.' Valeria knew that Markos was not an easy man, she had heard news and the reigning highlights were definitely disturbing. Moreover the woman knew how dangerous those billionaires could become who were driven by their impulse and heart.

Whereas Markos stared at her and as soon as the woman crouched down with her teary face, the man felt something getting crushed in his chest. He was completely unaware of that kind of feeling before, but whatever was it Markos loved being considerate and kind to her.

The man walked forward while his men took their positions in the circle to control the viewers. People in the cruise were attracted to them assuming something wrong was happening, but when they recognized Markos's face they got curious.

The rumour and assumptions started and people became eager to see with whom he was talking. A few of them among the crowd clicked pictures to post with the highlights that Markos Moreno replaced his bride! People used different captions to post their 'proofs' which resulted in a hype created over social media, which travelled faster and ahead of their marriage.

"I....I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you like this."

Markos knelt in front of her and apologized, presuming that his guards and the sudden glance at the weapons might have scared her. After all she was a pampered child of her family for being the only kid of her parents.

The man patted her head gently and tried to console her by lifting her chin up, whereas Valeria realized there was no other way to escape now. However she didn't accept her fate and decided to marry Markos only to divorce him later after they reached the land.

Valeria lunged towards him and hugged him while Markos skipped a beat and felt as if the time had slowed down a little. Something else pricked his senses which enticed Markos like he had never been before.

'This scent...damn! Could it be she is...'

He couldn't help but to conclude in his excitement and hunch on the basis of his senses and instincts. Markos closed his eyes and inhaled deeply, a soothing sensation crept into his body which relieved all his worries.

The man scooped her in his arms and carried her back to the hotel which was built on the cruise. Valeria hid her face in his chest to avoid all those questioning and mocking stares at her. Although no one had the temerity to call Valeria a homewrecker since they knew the consequences and none among the crowd wanted to experience it.

Valeria unwillingly got dressed after reaching the hotel room from where she had run away. Markos waited for her in the hall where all the guests were already present as the witness to their marriage, well according to them Carla and Markos's marriage ceremony.

Markos witnessed the beautiful sight of Valeria walking inside the hall which made him giddy yet excited. He spotted that the blood red jewel in the necklace sparkled, proving that his hunch was correct the man was elated of his choice!

They both got married and Markos lifted her veil to kiss his bride while caressing the knuckles of her right hand. A shiver ran down Markos's spine as his lips touched Valeria' whereas the lady felt relieved and comfortable as soon as he kissed her.

Valeria became puzzled upon the sudden switch of her own emotions which didn't make any sense at all. She felt as if somebody had hypnotised her, the lady touched her lips and then glanced at Markos with confusion.

It was the moment she witnessed the unusual sight which frightened her, Valeria froze in her place with a pounding heart. Things weren't going her way already but the current situation was beyond her imagination!
