Chapter 7 My Personal Maid 2

The moment he stepped in, everyone bowed as usual and he took his seat on the throne, then one of the councilmen spoke

"Milord Theodore had gone missing after you had told him to investigate further on the witches"

"That's his fault" he said nonchalantly "maybe he tried to find out about some things which he wasn't meant to, any other complains"

"Yes milord" another councilman spoke "its from Lord Jeffrey saying that you stop lessen the abduction of humans, its already too much to take and they are losing their number"

"And since when did Jeffrey have the right to speak to me, two, about their number, we do not take every year,I think its once in three years we do come for them so its enough time for them to increase their number. Send him a letter having what I just said and also tell him it shouldn't repeat itself"

"Milord" the councilman spoke"I see nothing wrong for a lord to talk to his fellow Lord, you vampires feel as though you..." He couldn't complete his words as his head crashed and rolled down on the floor

"I guess he was a human" Xavier said "filthy things"

After that, other cases were brought forward and when the meeting was done, he stood up and left the room. He went back to his room waiting for Hazel and after some minutes,she came in her servant dress.

"What took you so long, Hazel"

"I was searching for a place to keep relles" Xavier furrowed his brows and she explained further "relles is my rabbit"

"You could keep it here, I'll take care of it" Xavier said, he wasn't doing it cause he cared about the rabbit, he wanted to confirm his suspicions about this rabbit

"Here?"

"Here"

"Won't it be a disturbance to you and it isn't right"

"Does it talk"

"No"

"Then it wont be a disturbance... Bring relles here and also my dinner"

"Okay" and she left

Hazel did as she was told, she brought relles who was still in his cage to Xavier's room along with his dinner. He just kept the cage at the side. Hazel was about leaving when she heard him

"Where do you think your going"

She turned around "to see if Collins had a job for me to do" the truth was that when she had gone to settle her things,she had heard some maids saying that it was best to stay away from the Lord cause he was fearful

"Didn't you get your job description"

She raised her brows in question

"My. Personal. Maid" he stressed each word. She understood that but she heard that maids weren't meant to stay in a particular place and they should look for other things to do.

"I got my job,but it didn't occur to me that it would be in this way" she said

"Well now you got to stay"

She came back and stood some meters away from him as he ate. The person she was seeing now was different from the one at the forest. Sure he still had the careless expression but the talked politely at that time but now he held some expressionless face and his aura was too intimidating

"So tell me about yourself"

"What about myself"

"You were talking about saving money"

"I told you it was personal"

"I stepped back cause you hadn't accepted the job at that moment,but the moment you did, I own you"

'You don't own me, I'm not a slave"

"But I pay you"

"And I render services,its kinda of tits for tats"

"I don't care"

"And u won't tell you"

"I could use some other ways to make you tell me"

Xavier used the napkin to clean the sides of his lips and then came closer to where she was standing, it was then Hazel realized how small she was compared to him,such that if she was to look at a horizontal level,she could just see his chest. He was too close and Hazel held her breath, she avoided his gaze and turned away but he held her chin and forced her to lock gazes with him and he was staring at her sternly

"I w-wouldnt l-like y-you t-to u-use t-that w-way" she shuttered

"Guessed so, but I'll surely use it in the future rabbit"

"Rabbit?"

"Yes, rabbit"

"Why"

"You looked like one when I was staring at you"

"I'm Hazel"

"I know, but I would prefer to call you rabbit"

"Clear the plates" he said and stepped back, she released the breath she was unconsciously holding. She took the plates and dashed out of the room. The moment she left, Xavier called Lucas in
