Lies and Heartache

"OMG!" Claudia shrieked in joy and ran to hug me "Thank you so much Becca. You have no idea what this means to me"

I just stayed there as the woman who I thought was like my own sister was hugging me after stabbing me in the back just a few minutes ago.

I could not react as she wrapped her arms around me, pressing me tighter as she countinued laughing out of sheer happiness and gratitude for what I had just done

"Now I and my Bradley csn be free to live out our love story" she said, still hugging me"While you will also be free to live out yours"

My love story? Did Claudia have any idea what she was talking about? My love story had only been with Bradley and after this betrayal, I was not sure if I wanted another.

"Hurry up!" Bradley yelled at the two male workers, snapping me out of my daze. When I looked at the situation of our bedroom again, my mouth flew open.

Vince had already told them what they were to do and Bradley confirmed it so all my things were now all over the room. Everywhere was littered with my clothes and other belongings, it was almost difficult to tell if this was the same room I had woken up in.

Both Pedro and Reymond quickened their paces, dragging boxes of my clothes and personal effects from the room and taking them out of the mansion.

"All done sir " Reymond came back to report after there was nothing left of mine to be seen in the vast masters bedroom.

"Good " Bradley nodded to the driver then he turned to meet my gaze "Drop her as well as her belongings to anywhere she chooses"

With that Bradley left the room leaving me with a happy Claudia and q confused Reymond and gross silence in his wake.

Seconds passed with none of us saying anything, much because there was nothing to say, nothing to ask and no answer to be given. Both Bradley and Claudia had used me and when they were tired of doing so, they threw me out of my home, out of their lives

"You heard your boss" Claudia said, breaking the silence with a snap of her fingers "Get ready to get her out of my mansion for good"

Reymond raised a brow as he looked at Claudia and I was made to do so too. For the first time since she arrived, I took notice of her choice of fashion.

She wore a brown winter coat over a black sleeveless blouse and matching trousers. Everything managed to compliment her figure quite nicely. No wonder she chose the career of being a super model.

Claudia was a blonde beauty with emerald green eyes. Men chased after her like bees so why did she choose Bradley of all the men she could have had.

"Madam Rebecca" Reymond called out to me and I was forced to look at him again. He had an apologetic face that made me almost want to smile.

"Yes Reymond" I managed to say. I already knew what he was going to say but right now, there was nothing I could do to stop the questions and the way they will hurt. Nor just from Reymond but from the whole of New York.

Our wedding although had been a private affair but the news soon got out that one of the youngest and most influential businessmen in New York had gotten married, I was assaulted by reporters at every turn.

"When will you like to leave ma'am?" the driver asked, his tone low and gentle. I could tell that this was difficult for him.

"Oh" i said in surprise. I had not expected that to be his first question but I already had an answer for it. "Right now"

"Right now?" Reymond asked in surprise. He looked at my disheveled appearance once again and his eyes widened even more.

I knew I did not look presentable in the least but there was no chance that I wanted to stay in the mansion for much longer and definitely not till Bradley comes back.

""You heard her!" it was Claudia that responded for me, sounding irritated. I wonder how the other workers would cope with her as their new lady.

"Ignore her" I pleaded with Reymond then collected myself, taking a few deep breaths "Come on, let's go"

I and Reymond walked out of the bedroom to the main floor. I hastened my footsteps as I reached more parts of the house. Everywhere held memories for me and leaving everything behind brought tears back to my eyes.

I passed several maids who could only stare at me sympathetically but I had no words for them. I just wanted to leave as soon as possible.

It was when I stepped out of the house that I began to feel nausea rising from the pit of my stomach coupled with the headache I had been feeling since morning.

I suddenly felt dizzy and my legs could no longer carry me. The next thing I knew was that I was falling only to be caught by strong arms.

And that was the last thing I remembered till everything went blank.

"Where am I?" I asked as soon as I woke up to a different surrounding than I was accustomed to.

It took me a while to recollect everything that had transpired earlier that morning, how Bradley had handed me divorce papers and my friend had waltzed right in to my bedroom and my husband's arms

And then they had all thrown me out of their house like I was a piece of trash. The pain stung almost bringing tears to my eyes again.

Ex husband.

"You're awake" a man in a doctor's coat spoke with a bright smile on his face "How are you feeling now?"

"I'm okay" I answered as I could no longer feel the headache anymore but there were still traces of nausea "What happened?"

"Congratulations Mrs McMichael" he smiled even brighter "You're pregnant "
