Chapter 5 Gang Banter

"I knew Axe just took it easy on him the first time" Martha mumbled as Axe's car appeared the third time he gave Kaine so much distance this time around.

Michelle as almost shaking where she was standing then the two cars became invisible again.

Everyone was quiet waiting for the last round,,the first person to show up this time around is the winner.

Michelle closed her eyes ,her heart racing against her.

Minutes later the first car showed up and everyone started screaming.

One of them just got back with no sight of the second car!!

Michelle's heart beat increased,,and then she opened her eyes to see the car that just arrived.

"Finish up and undress" Kaine said sending chills into Michelle's spine.

She wrapped the bandage around his wounded arm and moved away from him. She closed up the first aid kit and returned it to where she took it from. She came back into the room and her eyes met with Kaine's own.

Without waiting for Kaine to repeat his order, she started unbuttoning her blouse.

"Wait" Kaine suddenly said and she looked up to see him glaring and looking angry.

"What's that?" He asked looking at her wrist.

Michelle also checked to see what he was looking at,it's the tattoo of Axe's name on her wrist.

"It's....a...it's......."

"I hate people who talk dumbly speak up" Kaine glared.

"A tattoo" michelle exhaled.

Kaine frowned again.

"I didn't do this,I just woke up and found it there. It's a..tag that I'm..I mean was for Axe"Michelle tried her best to explain without stuttering.

Kaine scoffed.

"Tell Clara to get rid of it for you tomorrow" He said.

"Yes master"Michelle replied.

"Seeing that shit annoys me, get out" Kaine said.

"I'm sorry" michelle mumbled. she bowed and immediately walked out of the room.

As soon as she was out of the suite, she bumped into Sapphire.

"I'm sor......" A slap landed on her face and she lost her balance making her fall on the floor.

"How dare you go into Kaine's room!!" Sapphire yelled.

Michelle swallowed, she uttered no word.

Sapphire grabbed her hair and she screamed.

The door suddenly opened revealing Kaine.

"Oh gosh,you're so clumsy,how could you fall like that?" Sapphire smiled and rubbed Michelle's hair shocking the hell out of her.

"What's going on?" Kaine asked and Michelle turned.

'Is she pretending right now?' Michelle thought inwardly.

"Oh...she fell" Sapphire chuckled and looked at michelle.

"What are you waiting for? You can go" She said and walked over to Kaine.

"Oh no,you got hurt!" Sapphire exclaimed.

Michelle's eyes fell on Kaine but he didn't spare her another glance before going back in,Sapphire followed him and closed the door.

"Did you get it treated?" She asked behind Kaine.

"What are you doing here?" Kaine asked grabbing a bottle of wine from the wine chamber.

"Let me help" Sapphire said.

"Never mind...You can go now....."

"I was planning to sleep here" Sapphire said and Kaine glared.

"Says who?" He snapped.

"Why are you so harsh on me?! Just why! I'm here because I miss you and want to spend time with you...."

"I'm not in the mood for that" Kaine said and left the chamber. He started walking to the bedroom and Sapphire still followed him.

"Are you still going to escape today and run away? Like last time?" She asked.

Kaine ignored her and started opening the wine using the same injured hand since it's the right hand.

"Kaine,you're hurt. Can't I at least help you?" Sapphire asked and forcefully took the bottle from him.

"Why do you want that girl by the way?" She asked after seeing him calm down but Kaine never replied.

"Kaine....."

"One more word and you will regret it Sapphire for real" He snapped and Sapphire frowned but she said nothing after that.

She opened the wine and poured into the glass cup then handed over to him.

Kaine drank the first and she poured for him again.

"Have you considered me sleeping here?" Sapphire sat down on his laps.

"Why should I do that?" Kaine asked.

"Kaine I....."

Kaine smashed the glass cup against the wall and she gasped.

"Get out" He glared at her.

She got up.

"I will check you up in the morning" Sapphire said before walking away.

*NEXT MORNING*

Michelle sat nervously in the chair, her wrist exposed and ready for the procedure to get the tattoo off her wrist like Kaine said.

"Don't worry,it's just three letters so it won't hurt so much" Clara assured her,she was also in the same room with her.

Michelle gazed up at the artist, he must be the same one who gave her the tattoo in the first place, he explained the process, but Michelle's mind was restless.

As he began, michelle winced, feeling a slight stinging sensation. The laser machine beeped and hummed, its bright light focused on the tiny tattoo.

Michelle felt a pinch with each pulse of the laser, her wrist tingling. She squeezed her eyes shut.

The artist paused, giving Michelle a reassuring smile.

"Almost done," he said.

Michelle nodded, taking a deep breath. A few more zaps, and it was over. He applied a soothing cream, and Michelle opened her eyes to see the tattoo was gone, leaving only a faint trace of its former presence.

Michelle exhaled.

"Finally" Clara said.

"Does it still hurt?" She asked Michelle on their way out.

Michelle shook her head and stared at her wrist,the spot looking so red.

"I'm happy that name is no longer there" She muttered and Clara smiled

"Aren't you going to clean his suite?" She asked.

"Oh,I will be going right away" Michelle immediately said.

"I'm on my way to prepared his breakfast,so let's go together" Clara told her and she nodded.

They walked to the general kitchen first to get the groceries Clara will be using to cook,then they proceeded to Kaine's suite.

Fang opened the door for them and they entered,Kaine wasn't present in the suite.

"Go on,you can help me in the kitchen when you're done" Clara said and Michelle smiled before nodding.

She went down to Kaine's room,she planned to clean just the room and kitchen today,it's not as if he's using all the rooms in the suite.

Getting to the room,she gasped out seeing the broken glass cup scattered all over the floor.

"Did he got hurt?" She asked herself,looking worried.

She got the broom and dustpan,then set to work.

*INDOOR SHOOTING RANGE*

The sound coming from Kaine'a gun repeatedly was so loud, the bullets never missing the bullseye despite the fact that he was shooting with his wounded arm.

The bullets in the gun finished up and he reloaded it at once before he continued,just then the door opened and Billie entered.

"Oh.....boss" She said and moved closer.

"Good morning boss" She bowed.

"Yeah" Kaine muttered like he was forced to respond.

Billie's eyes widened when she saw his bandage arm.

"You got hurt last night" she said.

Kaine said nothing and just continue shooting.

"Does it still....hurt?" Billie asked,still staring at the bandage.

Kaine looked at her coldly.

"I'm...sorry...I was just...."

"Kaine!" Sapphire entered and walked over to him.

Billie rolled her eyes at Sapphire secretly and walked away from them.

"I can't believe you're doing this when you're in pain,you don't have to act so strong you know?" Sapphire said.

Kaine exhaled frustratingly.

"What,are you tired of me?" Sapphire pouted.

"Aren't you tired of yourself?" Kaine scoffed and Sapphire chuckled.

Billie glanced at them from where she was standing and let out a scoff with the way Sapphire was trying so hard to flirt with Kaine.

DINNING HALL*

The maids scurried around the grand dining hall as they served the gang members gathered around the long table. The room was a sacred space, reserved solely for the gang's use, the scent of freshly cooked breakfast wafted through the air.

"Seriously? Why does this food taste so good today?" Lupa moaned.

"Of course it should taste good,at least that's the only thing you're good at" Tyson said and the boys laughed.

"That's not really nice" Bian said but he was also laughing his @ss out.

"What do you mean by that?" Lupa glared.

"Just eat, don't make this go further. You know you won't win" Knife scoffed.

"Must you seriously talk? I'm irritated by your voice" Gelato said.

"You should be irritated by your decayed brain" Knife said and Sasha cracked,trying hard not to laugh as Knife and Gelato exchanged words.

"Do you guys know the boss got hurt last night?" Risky asked and all attentions turned to him.

"How did you know that?" Sasha asked.

"I saw him this morning,He's got bandage around his arm,I think it's quite a lot" Risky replied.

"Talon is a motherf*cker,I should kill him next time I see him" Alex scoffed.

"You sure you can face him?" Tyson smirked.

"You should direct that question to yourself not Me" Alex said.

Risky and Bian faced each other and started laughing till they fell off their seats.

"You guys are so immature" Sasha groaned,looking at them on the floor.

"The last time I checked,we are all older than you" Bian said.
