Chapter 5 A SECRET CRUSH

"Calm down young lady, you're gonna meet her someday, I promise".

"But why...are you telling me this mom?"

"I promised your biological mom I will tell you when you are of age, so I am fulfilling that promise".

She replied softly.

I smiled at her and hugged her tightly.

"Thanks mother, you don't know how happy this made me, having those strange feelings and dreams of being a twin, I thought I was going crazy".

"When you are done admiring your sister, come join us for dinner".

She pecked my forehead and left the room.

I jumped happily, tossing my pillow here and there, taking a closer look at the pic, something doesn't seem right.

I became worried.

The picture was supposed to be a happy graduation picture.

Everyone was laughing except her.

She stayed there like an outcast with wet eyes, two students in the background were pointing at her.

"She's with her real parents, so she will be good I guess".

I thought, but now I have this feeling that everything isn't good with her... I mean in this judgmental world, it's obvious she was bullied or body-shamed by the photographer.

I can feel her emotions in this picture.

Another me is out there, and I am going to help her boost her confidence. .

"Shelley! Are you coming?"

Mom's voice called.

"Will be there in a minute!"

I yelled out, I smiled back once again at the picture and got up, arranged my bed and walked out of the room, heading to the dining.

**BEAUTY'S POV**

I walked to the company's restaurant, downstairs, since it's lunch break.

After what happened back there in the conference room, I didn't know how to feel, except from feeling useless of course.

"I want potatoes chips and veggies please".

I told the cook.

She looked up at me and entirely ignored me, not the first time though, it's like everyone here hates me except Jessie of course.

What did I ever do to them?

"What do you want from me, handsome young boss?"

The woman snapped suddenly, smiling uncontrollably at me?

Definitely not me.

I looked back, my heart paused at that point, I had to tilt my head back to look up at him.

He stood like a tall, rigid wall behind me.

Only if that wall is sexier than 99per of human males.

I quickly turned to the cook, my fingers clenched nervously, my heart was racing!

"Noodles and sauce, please,"he replied calmly.

It's him, Bruno! Beads of sweat clouded my face, my cheeks suddenly flushed red with nervousness.

He was standing right behind me, so hot I could feel the heat melting me!

"Oh ... .you ...you.are here first."

I turned slowly and pointed to my chest.

"Are you talking to me?"

"Yes...emm...I apologize, tell her what you want...".

His calm voice always sends chills to my body like how can someone be so gentle, kind and handsome, altogether.

Bruno is perfect, a man like him will never notice someone like me, I wish I had a body like JESSIE'S.

Maybe I could get a chance.

"Miss?"

His voice cuts in my thoughts.

"Eh?"

I snapped absentmindedly, my eyes widened.

"Tell her what you want".

His ocean blue eyes were sparkling.

How can a human's eyes be so dreamy? I think I am drooling.

"I want you... I mean. I...mean...pie, chicken pie...potato pie?"

I chuckled awkwardly, turned away from her, then slapped myself on the cheek hard.

Get it together, bitch!

The cook was glaring at me, pissed.

I turned back to him and smiled awkwardly.

Bruno stood there wearing a blank expression, he must've thought.

What a weirdo.

His face was priceless, he looked scared of me for a moment.

I was weird to him, gosh I am so stupid, embarrassing myself like that in front of him?

The woman cleared her throat dramatically, cutting into my awkwardness.

"You said chips..."

Her brows arched, she looked pissed by my cringe behavior.

I turned and looked at the woman absentmindedly.

She looked like she would love to slap me, but Bruno must be a huge obstacle for her.

I sighed, grateful he was here with me or else.

I am pretty sure she is going to do something horrible to me.

I laughed awkwardly.

"Oh yeah yeah pota...potato chips, not pie".

I brushed my hair with my finger nervously and bent my head slowly, embarrassed.

"I am sorry".

I apologized in a whisper.

She dished my order out, I carried the tray of food and bowed to thank her after.

I slowly walked to my favorite table spot to eat.

I had the temptation to turn and look at Bruno again, after his order was served he turned and started walking towards me!

"Oh no!"

I quickly buried my face in my food and pretended to be eating.

I heard the chair at the table opposite mine pull out, slowly I looked up and found him sitting in front of me!

I couldn't take my eyes off him, yet he didn't even look up at me, he was acting like I was completely invisible.

Could it be that he came here intentionally to sit with me?

I waved it off.

Of course not, you are the one into him, not the other way round silly! He just chooses a seat and is obviously minding his own business.

I fought within myself, and tried to concentrate on my lunch, but my hands were shaking nervously.

I can't eat in peace being in front of him, I need to be an ideal girl type, he is my crush and I have to impress him at least, take chances.

I took a deep breath and opened my eyes, with a smile I took a spoonful elegantly.

"Beauty!"

Jessie appeared from nowhere and snapped into my ear to startle me intentionally.

I choked on my food.

"Jes...sssi".

I coughed out and grabbed my cup of water.
