Chapter 5 Who made you an Orphan

"WHAT!" What am I going to do now?

Percy frowned as he cursed his bad luck for the nth time; this kind of freaky coincidence could only be the work of his bad luck.

"Ding! The host has a choice."

Percy quickly selected the third option. Fortunately, a pharmacy was just a few miles from the alley. He bought some sleeping meds for Lisa and rented a small motel downtown; of course, he used her money from her purse.

Percy was broke and couldn't even afford a full meal of noodles and eggs. It was around eleven when Percy finished tucking Lisa in.

The motel staff glanced at Percy. I was surprised to see him leaving the motel. They had expected him to rent the room for a steamy occasion; that's what most men do in their motel, so it was surprising to see the anomaly named Percy.

"So men like this still exist. I really wish he were my boyfriend. I will treasure him to the skies."

"Uhh, me too; I will never let him go."

The motel staff stared starry-eyed at Percy as he exited the motel. He was handsome, a good gentleman, and he seemed nice, too. There was just everything to like about him.

Percy looked into the system space and saw the following items: two balls of light, a bank card and house certificate, and a small bottle.

Percy nodded, feeling he could read and understand a whole textbook in minutes; this must be the horror of the skill of reading ten lines at a glance.

"If I get the complete skill....forget it, where am I going to meet someone like Lisa again?"

Percy pushed all those thoughts away as he focused on the other items in the system space. The other ball of light was temperament; it was invisible, but Percy could feel something in him had changed; how he walked and talked seemed to have changed.

"National Bank of Magic City: Your bank balance is 10,000,025 dollars.10 million was credited into your bank account."

Percy glanced at the notification on his phone from his bank. He felt increasingly confident; with ten million in his account, he didn't believe he could build a life for himself. Percy exhaled deeply as he entered the house, bathed, and fell asleep.

"That b*st*rd....He just went in and slept; how dare he ignore me like this? He didn't even make dinner."

Olivia was almost going mad. In just one day, Percy had ignored her two times, which had never happened before. Previously, Percy was always the last to go to bed. He would cook delicious food, massage her feet, and even trim her nails. For someone like Olivia who was so used to indulgence, this attitude of Percy was beyond unbearable.

"Mom....Percy is bullying me?"

Olivia took out her phone and made a call to her family.

Her dad was a gambler and a thug, her mother was a marketwoman, and her brother had gangster friends. In their neighborhood, they were fierce and strong. Percy was so obedient to her family and would always give them what they wanted that she didn't believe Percy would dare disobey her parents.

"I will surely make you kneel and admit your mistakes tomorrow."

As expected, Olivia's Mom, Avery, roared like a shrew and cursed Percy to the nines.
