"Lord haze doesn't like people calling him by his name".
"And I don't like to be locked in a room for no reason".
"If I were you, I'll be careful we are not what we seem like" Scott said and haze felt like it was more of a threat than a warning. He glanced at the clothes on the bed.
"You don't like the clothes?" he asked.
"No, I'd like some pair of joggers and tops," she said and he nodded.
"Ok I'll tell the maids to get it for you". He said and walked out of the room.
Hazel laid in the duvet and covered herself, trying to grasp what she just saw. Well, at least now she knows why they kept her in such a fancy building and are taking care of her, but still she wondered what she had that he wanted because she was just a lonely orphan.
Scott went into the small beer parlor room, he saw Tasha and Haze talking with a glass of wine in their hands, he approached them and poured himself a drink. He watched as Tasha folded her hands under her breast making her look more sexy, he winked at her but she only rolled eyes at him.
"I have been asking this question for a long time and I am still asking it, how do we draw the power out of her? Because I can't stand her anymore," haze said.
"You can't draw the power out of her or should I remind you of the prophecy, you have to fall in love with her in order to get your powers back." Haze growled at her remark.
"Watch your tongue witch, the prophecy said for her to fall in love with him, not the other way around." Scott said.
"Oh did it? I must have forgotten," she said with a giggle and haze rolled his eyes, knowing fully well how annoying she could be.
"But we have to look for another way, because, sorry to say, but I don't think anyone can fall in love with you," " Scott said, referring to haze and avoiding his glare.
"No one is falling in love with anyone," he said the word "Love" with so much venom like he loathed it.
"Well I guess this conversation is not productive and I should take my leave," Tasha said and she stood up.
"Tasha! Tasha!" Haze yelled.
"Call me when you find a more powerful witch" she said and before she could reach the door she disappeared.
Hazel turned abruptly as she heard the sound of the door creak, the person poked his face in first before his other body followed him in, she sighed. She was tired of seeing so many faces in one day.
His eyes formed an "O" when he saw her, she was almost invisible In the big bed covered in a duvet.
"Hi, am Henry it's nice to meet you," he said smiling as she looked at him from head to toe, he reminded her of James except not as nerdy. Unlike Scott and Henry that had this dangerous and uncomfortable aura surrounding them he had a very friendly and approachable aura, but still.. was she supposed to feel comfortable with anyone here, knowing full well that she was still like a prisoner.
"Henry, what on earth are you doing here?" Scott asked as he approached him, "didn't you read the sign outside, no one is allowed in."
"I am not no one, and since when did I listen to the rules" he said and Hazel faced the other way and covered herself with the duvet.
They both stared at her, and Scott ushered him out of the room.
Hazel laid covered in the duvet not realizing when the sun had set and the day becoming darker.
Memories of her parents death kept flashing in her head, and big red eyes, those bloodshot red eyes tortured her, but those red eyes belonged to a beast and they aren't beasts, they are humans, but how could his eyes switch color was he some sort of robot or was he using robot eye, she thought confused.
"I can hear your thoughts buzzing from here" haze said and Hazel sat up, removing the duvet from her face. She was surprised to see him because she never heard the sound of the door opening, so how did he get here?
"Why? A prisoner is not even allowed to think," she snapped back, she could barely see him, only the moon was the source of light in the room which only reflected his shadow.
"You capture me and keep me locked in here for no reason, you can't state what you want so I don't even Know why I am here, especially since we can't stand each other." Hazel said.
"I told you, you have something of mine, and you can't leave until I get it back and besides I didn't capture you, you ran in here on your own." He said Hazel could now clearly see his blue eyes, those blue eyes that could turn red.
"What are you?" she asked but got no reply.
"Are you a robot?" she asked, because nothing else could explain his change of eyes and speed, suddenly a dry laugh filled the room.
"You dare compare me with those worthless products of humans," he stood up and hazel watched his shadow approach the door, he opened the door and left, hazel wondered why he came in the first place.
Haze shut the door behind him and he felt the power leave him, whenever he is with her he feels a strong and satisfying power, it was like she was some sort of charger whenever he is with her he feels like his powers are being charged up, he cursed the moon goddess within him for laying such a curse in him, just when he had forgot about the curse, he found her.
"All charged up I see" haze turned to the source of the voice to see Tasha by the wall, she was putting on a purple dinner dress all dolled up with a champagne on her hands like though she was coming from a party, haze rolled his eyes at her, but he stopped on his tracks when he could perceive the smell of blood, his eyes flickered a bit.
"Why do you choose to cause commotion by bringing a blood stained dress here?"
Tasha looked down to see the Hem of her dress soaked in blood.
"Oh pardon me, I am just coming from an unpleasant meeting she said and with a flick of her hands it was all gone.
"Back to what I was saying, you haven't fulfilled an ounce of the prophecy, and you can already feel the power."
"Can you stop bringing this topic up,"he said.
"There is more to the prophecy you know?" Tasha said and haze looked at her with questioning eyeballs.
"Have you forgotten already? I never knew vampires had a short memory," Tasha said.
"Speak witch!" Haze said not liking the tone of her language.
"You do know that her appearance now means that the second war draws near."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean it's only a matter of time before other creatures find out about your missing power and find out about her, what do you think would happen when they realize that the power of the strongest vampire is stored in a weak human?"
"But you said you can't draw the power out, if you can't draw it out then who can."
"I can't draw it out, but the dark witches might, they are becoming more and more powerful in their evil sorcery."
"Guess I have to find a dark witch to do the job."
"You can, but you know the price would cost more than your powers, and remember that the dark witches aren't on your side, they joined the demon's side in the last war, who said they won't do the same this time? Remember the demons are quite not dead, I feel like they are plotting something."
" What makes you say so?" Haze asked.
"Am just coming back from a meeting with the dark witches, trust me it wasn't nice at all."
"Too bad I stopped believing in the prophecy," haze said and walked further.
"Tch," Tasha scoffed, "you are even more cowardly than I thought, how can you not believe in what is right in front of you?" Tasha said as Scott approached them, he stopped on his tracks when he saw Tasha but he remembered that the news he brought was even more important.
"Your brother just entered the gate, " Scott said," and haze kept calm.
"Tasha leave!" He said he knew if his brother saw her he would suspect something.
"I told you I just came from an unfriendly meeting with the dark witches and I am still healing, I can't teleport," she said and sipped from her champagne.
"Well don't come out' haze said, but Tasha ignored it and walked past him.
"Oh relax, it's been a while since I saw your brother and I am curious to see how he has grown," she said and cat walked her way to the sitting room.
