Chapter 8 IT FEELS LIKE A DREAM FIRST VACATION

Damien and I started dating, it's crazy to even think about it, I started dating my mom's younger brother, but I didn't regret it one bit, infact I liked it and I was very sure that I loved him too just as he said he loved me. Damien treated me like a princess, I've never had anyone care about me be it fake or real, so having Damien treated me like I was the only thing that mattered to him felt so surreal, it felt like a dream.

I started going out more often as Damien and I went on numerous dates, and I loved every single one of them. one day, Damien came back and excitedly told me "hey, my love, pack your bags, we're going on our first vacation as a couple" I beamed with smiles and asked him what he meant and he pulled out two tickets to 'COMO maalifushi" in the Maldives, I jumped on him happily, and he in turn beamed with smiled before looking at me and then said "there's no extent I wouldn't go to for you aleisha, I really do love you" I kissed him and said "I love you too"

We took over a week preparing for our vacation, we bought the necessary stuffs we needed, got our passports and everything ready, the following week was time for our trip, we headed off to the airport, the drive to the airport was very exciting as we goofed around a little, we soon arrived at the airport, went through everything necessary, and then boarded the plan, I got a sit by the window and he sat beside me, that was my first time on a plane, and I told him how scared I was, he held my arm to help me ease up some tension as we prepared for lift up, we soon arrived our destination and I was as happy as a five year old, everybody there were so friendly, and our room was breathtaking, we got a room by the beach, the view was just so magnificent, I got a little emotional and Damien said he'd do more as time went on, we kissed and then went out for a walk.

I could tell some women were looking lustfully at Damien, some practically threw themselves at him, but he told them he had a partner and introduce me to them, I felt kinda shy, but one particularly shameless woman Eleanor, wouldn't leave Damien alone even as he made it clear that he wasn't interested in her and he had a partner, she still wouldn't leave him alone, and she kept following us everywhere we went to, she literally turned into Damien's stalker.

While we went to the restaurant to have lunch, we got a table for two and just as we were about eating, she came over to our table and said "hey handsome, I don't get why you're avoiding me, can you see that I want you?" Damien respectfully said "ma'am, as you can see I'm with my girlfriend, and it's very rude of you to not acknowledge her and still try to hit on me, I've made it clear to you that I'm not interested in you" she scoffed and said "well, isn't she a little too young for you? what you need is a real woman not a girl" Damien told her to leave but when she was adamant on staying, he threatened to report her, she scoffed and hissed at me and before leaving, she mouthed "this isn't over, I will get him" before leaving, I just watched on with utter shock. Damien apologized to me and I told him to let it go.

The rest of our stay there was exciting but Eleanor always had a way to ruin it, and Damien had no choice than to file for a restraining order against her, but that still wasn't enough to keep her away, we eventually had to travel back home earlier than expected because she wouldn't leave him alone. While we were at home, Damien kept apologizing to me because we didn't get the change to stay longer as he still had a lot of things he wanted to show me, but we had to leave early because of Eleanor, I cupped his chin and said "it's okay, I had fun still..it's just unfortunate that we had to run into her, but I don't blame her, you are handsome and no woman would resist your charming looks" he smiled blushingly and kissed me.

I loved the Maldives but vowed never to go there because of the experience with Eleanor the stalker, back in the Maldives.. Eleanor went to our hotel and asked one of the staffs about Damien, when she learnt that we had checked out and went home, she got angry and said to herself "I will look for him and make him mine, what does he need that premature girl for anyways?" she had no choice that to leave the hotel angrily.

meanwhile, Damien kept showering me with gifts every now and then, I felt bad that he was the only one buying gifts and spoiling me so I told him that I wanted to take him on a date, he said "maybe some other time, now I just want to spoil you and show you how much I love you and how much you mean to me" I admired him because I could really see the effort he was putting in to make our relationship work, he was ashamed to introduce me to his friends as his partner, he literally bragged about me every chance he gets, that just made me love him more and more.

And I definitely wasn't going to make our relationship one sided, I also made sure I put in just the same amount of effort he puts in also, with every passing day, I find myself falling inlove with him all over again, it all feels like a dream to me, a dream I never want to wake up from.
