Chapter 10 GOODBYE, SOUTH CAROLINA

After the encounter with Asaun and Eleanor, Damien kept apologizing, by then I had already calmed down, then I told him to let it go.

Asaun kept disturbing me, he made a burner account on IG and requested to follow, I thought it was another person so I followed him back, I later found out it was Asaun, then he started threatening me saying if I blocked him then he'll tell the whole world that I was fucking my uncle and parading him around as my boyfriend, I was quite scared because Asaun had millions of following on IG and if he made a post about me and Damien, then it would definitely go viral, he said the only way to keep his mouth shut was for me to come to his house so he can fuck me, he also said my "old uncle" shouldn't be the only one enjoying my kitty. I didn't tell Damien about it, neither did I cave in to Asaun's demands.

Eleanor on the other hand kept pestering Damien, she somehow came across Damien and my account on IG, she kept commenting on all his photos saying he belonged to only her, and she kept begging him to reply to her DMS, she also came under my account and replied all my posts and pictures saying I was a filthy whore and I was trying to take her man from her, she kept saying nasty things about me. soon after blogs started poking their noses into our businesses, and they started making false narratives about the whole story.

Asaun kept pestering me to cave in to his demands, and when he saw that I was going to do as he said, he went ahead to make a post about how I was fucking both him and my uncle, and about how my boyfriend is really my uncle, because of his large following his post went viral immediately, and he tagged my account, Damien's account and Eleanor's account and people started reposting and having something to say and the blogs had real gists this time.

Because of the tag, people flooded my account, calling me all sorts of name, saying I was very shameless to date my uncle, some didn't believe the story and said it's a false story, but when Eleanor reposted Asaun's story on IG saying it's true, the news spread like wildfire, I then told Damien everything and he said I should told him sooner before it became a mess, I apologized and he said he'd take care of it.

I felt bad trending for all the wrong reasons, and I felt as if my life was about to come to an end. the next day Eleanor then showed up at our house and told me that this was my last chance to hand Damien over to her and she'll stop the whole drama, but that if I refused then she'll continue blowing the story up and continue spreading false narratives about the situation, I told her to piss off and that I'd rather die than hand Damien over to her, she looked defeated and said she'll ruin my life before she angrily left.

When Damien came home, I immediately told him about Eleanor's visit, and he said "dear, we have to leave here for good" I asked what he meant and he said "I'm saying we have to relocate to another country" I protested saying I didn't want to leave and how attached I was to south Carolina, he held me then said "I understand you and frankly, I don't want to leave either, but we don't have a choice at this point, this situation won't die down so easily and soon people will start poking their noses in our business, the best thing for us right now is to relocate somewhere far from here, and cut off those toxic bastards for good" I sadly accepted and he said he'd start house hunting immediately

Money wasn't the problem because Damien hd lots of it, and my parents left everything they had to me, but I was still because I was still little when they died, they left it in Damien's care and told him to transfer everything to me when it was time. Damien thought carefully about where we could go, he didn't want to make a wrong choice and finally we both agreed on relocating to São Paulo in Brazil, Damien made to our relocation process was very quiet, we only packed our clothes as Damien rented the house to a newly wedded couple and told them they could move in on Sunday, we bought a house in Brazil and very early on Sunday morning, Damien left the keys on the porch just as he had told the couple, while we were about to leave for Brazil, I stood outside with my suitcase and stared at the house and murmured "goodbye, south Carolina" then I walked to the car

My heart was heavy but it felt nice to know that I was finally going to breathe a breath of fresh air, we arrived são Paulo and settle in pretty quickly without much stress, since the only thing we took with us were our clothes, I thanked Damien for getting me out of that toxic situation and he just hugged me and said "I want the best for you my love, I'm glad you like it here already, when we're settled in we'll go around and see town"

Back in south Carolina, Eleanor and Asaun went to the house to cause a commotion, when they rang the doorbell, they were shocked as a man in his mid 40's answered instead of Damien, they asked of our whereabouts and the man said he had no idea as they had just recently moved into the house, Eleanor thought he was lying and refused to go until they called Damien but the man threatened to call the cops on her for disturbing them, she then comported herself and told him that calling the cops wouldn't be because as she'd be on her way, Asaun then asked the man politely if he knew of our whereabouts and the an shook his head and said "no, I didn't even get to meet him, I just saw the keys on the porch, I rented the house from him" they both exchanged puzzled glances, thanked the man and went on their way.

Before leaving south Carolina, Damien and I made sure to change our phone numbers, we both deleted our IG accounts and opened new ones, we basically destroyed anything that could make them contact us, I was happy and relieved to have moved from that drama. Eleanor soon gave up on looking for us and decided to go back home, and Asaun tried moving on but he couldn't stick to one girl, and soon became a playboy. and the story Asaun posted soon died down because after they had searched for us and couldn't find us, Asaun decided to delete the post since it was now useless and they couldn't do anything. I was happy and thankful to Damien for talking me into leaving south Carolina, as we left all the drama died down.
