He unleashed his power, but it had no effect on the flower; his power merely passed through it.
"Don't you know that only a normal person or a mortal can touch the Flower of Eda? A vampire can only handle it if their heart is pure, but from what I can see, you're not like that," the woman said. Supremo listened to her words.
The woman walked towards him and placed her hand over the flower. The flower immediately vanished, as if absorbed by her hand.
Supremo's brows furrowed; he was about to use his power on her when she spoke again.
"I will help you heal whoever it is you want to save with this flower."
"Don't worry, I'm a mortal and the flower is safe with me, but once I've healed them, you will help me find the person I'm searching for."
"I will kill you if you dare to escape our deal."
Supremo had no choice but to agree with the woman, as he couldn't touch the flower himself. All he wanted now was to save Rin.
"Hold on," Supremo said. The woman immediately placed her hand on his shoulder, and they vanished, reappearing at the palace.
They arrived at the door of the room where Rin lay, and Supremo quickly opened it.
Before him was Rin, lying down, with her arm darkening due to the spreading poison.
"Kuya (Brother)," the woman said as she glanced at Rin.
She approached Rin but stopped because of a barrier that Supremo had put in place before he left.
"Who are you?" Supremo asked, as the woman had called Rin "kuya."
The woman immediately removed the covering from her face, revealing eyes that were similar to Rin's, both a shade of gray.
When the woman fully removed the covering from her face, Supremo was greeted by a beautiful visage, but aside from their similar eyes, she and Rin had little else in common.
The woman standing before him had long, slightly curly hair that reached her waist, a prominent nose, rosy lips, and fair skin.
"I'm Yara, a cousin of Brother Jaiya, though I always called him Sister Rin, so don't be surprised if I address him differently."
"Now, can you remove this barrier so I can heal him?"
Supremo immediately removed the barrier he had created, allowing Yara to approach Rin. She examined Rin to see how far the poison had spread and saw that it had already consumed nearly half of her body.
When they entered the area of the flowers where the Flower of Eda could be found, time had shifted.
One hour there was equivalent to a day in the vampire world, so the poison had spread through almost half of Rin's body, as Supremo had been gone for over a day. Had Yara not arrived, Supremo might have returned empty-handed.
Yara raised her hand, and the Flower of Eda materialized, floating in the air. She moved her hand, releasing a petal from the flower. The petal was black on one side and pink on the other.
Yara stored the flower away, leaving only the petal floating. She raised both hands and brought it close to Rin's forehead.
She uttered words that Supremo couldn't understand, causing his brows to furrow.
After a few moments, the petal began to glow green, and Yara gently placed it on Rin's forehead. It immediately absorbed into her skin, and within a minute, Rin's entire body glowed violet. The poison in her body slowly melted away like ice, evaporating into the air. Yara smiled as she watched the poison leave Rin's body, knowing she had succeeded.
She then took a small vial and placed the collected poison inside.
"I need to leave now, so take care of Sister Rin. Don't worry, she's fine, but her body is still adjusting to the effects of the poison, so she'll need some rest. Bye!"
Yara disappeared instantly, causing Supremo to grow more suspicious of her since she had the ability to teleport.
He couldn't read Yara's mind, so he wasn't sure if she could be trusted. But he felt no danger from her, and her presence was similar to Rin's, though Yara's was stronger.
Supremo decided to let it go since Rin was safe, and that was what mattered most at the moment.
He let out a deep sigh, finally feeling the exhaustion. He climbed onto the bed where Rin lay, hugged her, and buried his head in her neck.
He quickly fell asleep, comforted by the position.
YARA'S POV
I quickly entered the portal to the world of humans, or mortals, the world where I belong, where I was born and raised.
But everything changed because of that old woman who came from another world.
A world I didn't know even existed.
My life became miserable but exciting at the same time.
Because of that old woman, I learned so much, and I didn't expect that I alone held the key to the portal to another world.
But... I wasn't ready to go back.
I'm not ready yet.
My past in that world is still here, in my mind and my heart.
There was so much chaos I experienced in that world, but here I am.
I'm going back to that world...
For my cousin, my innocent cousin.
If only I had arrived sooner, that man wouldn't have been able to possess my cousin's body.
I need to figure out how he managed to bring my cousin's body into the vampire's realm.
Because I hold the key.
But now, I need to tell Auntie, or Rin's mother, that Rin is okay and in good hands.
She's in good hands because the King of Vampires is taking care of her.
I wonder how those who oppressed me before are doing.
I wonder how the person I loved as a parent is doing.
It's been so many years.
Maybe now is the right time for me to show myself again.
A mortal and ordinary person with powers like theirs.
I've trained for years, so it's time to reintroduce myself.
Prepare yourselves, nobles... especially you, Queen Drena, the one who killed the people I considered parents.
The next morning, Rin woke up to find someone hugging her. When she looked, it was Supremo.
It was clear from Supremo's face that he was utterly exhausted.
Rin touched Supremo's face; he was so handsome, his face so innocent.
When asleep, he seemed kind, but awake, he was like a demon ready to devour anyone.
Rin's hand moved to Supremo's soft hair, gently stroking it, causing Supremo to snuggle closer to her.
Meanwhile, Yara stood in the center of a black circle.
YARA'S POV
I need to find out how he brought my cousin's body here.
So here I stand in the center of this circle, like a black hole.
This is where I'll learn what kind of power he used.
I hope my suspicion is wrong.
I waved my hand, and images began to appear from Rin's house, showing how that man entered Rin's body.
When he entered, a portal appeared before him.
My brow furrowed in annoyance.
He stepped into the portal and emerged in a dark place, but I know where it is.
It's in the forest where my mansion stands, though it's far away, as he's in the middle of the forest, and my mansion is at the far end, hidden behind the trees, so anyone who saw it would think it was just a wall covered in vines.
But what was he doing in that forest?
He stood there for a few minutes and recited some words.
A tree slowly emitted black smoke, which wrapped around Rin's body.
I smirked at what I saw.
HAHAHAHAH, so he sought help from that man.
It's been a while since we last met. HAHAHAHAHA, he's gotten better at using black magic, but the books they need are with me, so they won't know the strongest aspects of black power.
Let's see how strong you've become now.
The black circle I was standing on disappeared, so I left that place.
It's time to visit an old friend.
