Chapter 4 Honeymoon From Hell

Ashley's POV

I lay on the bed like a sprawled chicken ready for its death.

Today was Monday, the day I hated the most. The funny part about today being Monday is the fact that today's everyone's serious day.

I lazily grabbed my phone to check the time and damn! Time was far spent, I had to prepare Tim before the school bus arrives,

"Oh my gosh!" I hasten down the bed to his room, he sounded so peaceful while asleep,

"Tim? Baby get up and Let's get you ready for school.." He yawned, slowly opening his eyes. His brown eyes are often men or more. We'll always tease her about being in a team. Dad and I were team black eyes while mom and Tim were team brown. I miss those days,

"Ok now, don't you dare cry, Ashley Johnson. It's too early and you have a kid to prepare for school."

"Up up up, let's go shower" I carried him on my chest to the bathroom, well after a series of petting, he finally had his shower and now he was having his breakfast, the school bus horn was heard from afar, I hung his school bag behind him then carried him, the bus was already waiting,

"Tim, off you go," good morning sir." I smiled greeting the bus driver,

"Bye Ashley." The bus drove off, I looked at the time, I was already late for work and needed to go, I rushed in and entered the shower and in split seconds I was done with my dress, flagged down a bus heading to Drink's Bar.

Stepping down at Drink's Bar, the crowd I saw right out with my manager trying to explain something to the annoying paparazzi and journalist,

"This was bad, this is bad. How the hell did they know where I work? Screw your universe," I annoyingly kicked an empty can on the floor, the sharp noise alerted my manager he immediately called out like one who had seen his savior,

"Ashley?" Immediately everyone turned in the direction of his gaze and that was how I was almost buried with questions, flashing the cameras on my face with bombarding weird questions,

"Who are you Mr. Jackson? What's your relationship with him? Did you seduce him?" I was lost, what was supposed to say, anything I say now might affect Jackson's reputation,

"God, you know I can't deal with this?" I prayed deeply, the struggle to get an answer from me was frustrating.

"It's not nice to hover over a young girl. You know this is harassment and it's against your profession." The voice, I'd heard that same voice again not quite long ago, I looked up to see him standing gracefully in his suit, seems like he was on his way to the office, I'd never been so happy to see him,

Our gaze lingered for a while before the paparazzi broke it off again,

"Sor? How do you see Miss Ashley? Do you have any idea how slanderous this is? Is she your girlfriend? Your fling?" That part of the F-word cut me deeply, he walked up to me, with a small smile

"How are you? Hope they didn't bombard you too much?" What was he saying? I looked around then bent to whisper to his ears,

"What are you doing?" I asked again in a whisper,

"Just play along and everyone would be alright." He whispered, causing me to freeze, his voice was the real definition of smooth, why didn't I see this side of him when I came over?

I forced a smile, " I'm fine" I might as well play along and not blow his cover.

"Let's go?" He beckoned, I wanted to ask where but we were in a damn crowd and cameras were rolling. I held his hand, then nodded a yes,

"I want all the shots and videos of her taken down by tonight, every blog too" and with that he drew me wrapping his arms around my shoulders, how uncomfortable I felt, I tried to yank his arms away,

"Stop! They're watching you". He reprimanded,

"I'd cut those hands of yours," I cussed at him, he opened the door for me, and as I entered the car, everyone looked so shocked, a few seconds later Tyler entered,

"All settled except for plan B." He said giving Jackson a certain look,

"What's going on?" I asked in confusion, the two had something going and wouldn't budge or spill, Jackson looked at me before saying,

"Am sure by now you know what's going on with the media? I frowned,

"You caused it. You knew you were a popular being yet you choose to have a drink with a regular girl like me in a regular bar. How could you be so careless?" I voiced out angrily,

"It's not entirely my fault you know you have to be blamed for this, so cut me some slack". The prudence he had in talking to me was just too much, I threw him a dagger stare,

"My life is hacked. I was living a peaceful life before you walked into my life and turned it upside down. You know what? To hell with you and everyone!! Am off to my house " I opened the car,

"You can't go home!" He yelled making me flinch, took a deep breath then calmly said,

"Your house is jam-packed with these" he points at the paparazzi, " and I promise you if you go there, you might not come out?" Ok now, this was getting too serious,

"And you know this because?"

"I'm just coming from your place." " You could stay at my place for a while till the situation dies off,"

"I have a kid brother! How do I explain to an eight year old child that we can't live in our house because his sister is caught up in a scandal?" His eyes popped open.

"You have a brother? He asked, still surprised?

"Yes, I do. This is all your fault! What should I do? Where do I go from here?" My eyes filled with hot tears,

"You..u could stay at my place." He announced, I threw my glance at him, was he being serious now?
