Chapter 2 The Morning After

Ashley's POV

Sleeping peacefully when the sun cast its rays on me, feeling light-headed, I toss around to feel someone's hand around my tiny waist, the clock stopped ticking,

"Ok, Ashley? What the hell did you do?" My subconscious screamed aloud, I glanced beneath the duvet, to see I was completely naked, so he was, rage instantly set in, I tapped him vigorously,

"Hey!! Wake up!!" I dabbed him instantaneously, he gave a loud yawn,

"Good morning beautiful" his morning voice was something else, I looked at him,

"It was the same guy, she had a drink with"

"What have you done to me! You took advantage of me". Tears filled my eyes, Immediately felt like a complete loser and a disappointment.

"What do you mean? You consented to this when the manager brought you in here?" His face looked lost like he was about to be sold off,

"This was entirely your game plan right?" I am freaking 19 years old, how was I going to explain to anyone that I had a nightstand with a handsome dick head.

I grabbed my clothes from the floor, everything disgusted me, even the room smelt terrible,

Just as I was about to leave for the bathroom to take a quick shower and leave for work, the news turned on and the voice of the newscaster darted my attention.

"Popular CEO, Mr. Jackson Peters spotted at the bar with a young waitress," My jaw dropped. As I read the headlines, my eyes popped out, I turned to him, he too was stunned,

"Both were spotted in the same bar, and his penthouse, who do you think this Ashley girl is?" My picture was posted on the screen of the television,

"How!" I screamed inwardly, it felt like the floor should just open up and swallow me whole,

"Is this your plan all along?" I asked again, he was lost for words,

"Say something!!!" I yelled at him, causing him to jerk,

"I do not know anything about the news nor the pictures," I would have just followed my instincts and not had a drink with him, but now the complications have risen,

There was a knock on the door, we both shared a look before glaring at the door,

"Who's that? He beckoned,

"It's Tyler, man. Open up, you're in a big mess". The news weakened my knees,

"Head on to the bathroom," he told me,

"Fix this". I entered the bathroom and turned on the shower, letting the water beat my body. Images from the previous night flashed through my head, I shook it off, turned off the water after I was done, and wrapped the towel around my chest.

By the time he had walked in I had finished dressing up, Tyler was gone too, he looked restless, I was beginning to her curious about what exactly they discussed,

"What happened? What's the way out of this messy game you put me in?" I rolled my eyes,

"You can't leave this house for the next three days". He announced, it sounded like a piece of glass shattering,

"I do not understand what you mean by" I'm locked up in here for the next three days, how? By the way who the hell are you that everyone wants to dive into your personal life to know what's going on? His identity was still a mystery to me, I had just spent the night with a total stranger,

"That doesn't matter" he shoved it aside,

"I need a freaking answer from you! I have a brother to go back home to, he's all alone and worried, so I say that you find a way for me to leave this place!" I bantered bitterly,

He stared at me for a while, his glossy blue eyes bat as he swept it on me, from my head to my toe,

He grabbed me by the arms downstairs, and turned to the footage caught by the camera outside, I gasped.

Paparazzi and journalists from different tv stations were littered all over his gate, I was not going to survive if I pushed to leave, confusion set in.

"You see why you can't lea_" My cell phone rang Interrupting him, I looked at the caller, it was Jenna,

My heart skipped, for her to be calling, she must have seen the news about the mystery guy, and I,

I picked up trying to sound cool,

"Hi, Jenna" his eyes darted, immediately our gaze jammed he immediately removed his eyes,

"Ashley, what is this I'm hearing? What the hell? How did you get intertwined with Mr. Peters," Her scolding voice got to me, it was irresponsible of me to leave my kid brother out since yesterday.

"Jenna, things happened, I can't explain right now" this was the first time I felt helpless,

"Things happened? You're rumoured to be the side chick of a big-time billionaire playboy and you tell me things happened? By the way, Tim misses you. He's been moody since last night," I could feel her eyes rolling,

"Moody? Why?"

"Knock knock! You ditched him for a man, remember? You promised him to be back early yesterday now, he's sulking. I don't know how you wanna do it but you have to be here," and with that, she hung up, I turned around he was nowhere in the room, I walked out to go meet him downstairs,

The house was magnificent, it was glass, more like a castle.

"Who was he?" I found him seated on the couch on his cell phone, his countenance could tell he was reading comments,

Seem he felt my presence, he looked up,

"Where are you headed to?"

"Home," I rolled my eyes,

"And I told you you can't learn this house." He affirmed,

"I don't care about anything at this point, you put me in this tight situation so do not expect an adjustment from me! I just want to go home to my brother, is that much to ask?" I replied spitefully, he looked at me like a kid bantering for candy,

"Would you?" I asked, my phone beeped multiple times, I swiped down to see the notifications, my eyes popped out,

I looked at the picture and the man standing right in Front of me in disbelief,

"It's impossible," I mumbled almost in a whisper to his hearing, now I was in real trouble.
