"Mum... Unnie, You guys haven't still told us where you guys went to" Carly said breaking the silence.

"Just eat your food and stop talking too much before you choke" Josh cautioned

"Oppa, I wasn't talking to you, If you aren't curious, I am–Carly paused and faced her mum and Samantha who refused to have eye contact with her.

–Answer me already" She added taking in the spoon of soup into her mouth.

"What do...you want to...know again? We told you we went to the super–

"What supermarket? Mum... Sincerely speaking, You are so bad in lying... Unnie, Answer me"

"Answer what? Don't bother me, face your business"

"You guys came back from the supermarket this morning since last night? I refuse to believe such nonsense...Unnie? You refuse to answer my question right?"

"Carly... Stop talking already, Do you know what killed the dog? It was curiousity"

Josh immediately busted into loud laughter. He almost choked and quickly drank a cup of water beside him.

"Hey? Why are you laughing?" Samantha asked with a frown on her face.

"Noona... Actually, It's not a dog...It's a cat" He replied trying to hold his laughter

"What?" She asked still puzzled

"Noona...you still don't get it? Well.. What you just said now about the dog–Josh paused and let out his laughter, He looked at Samantha whose mood was changed, He could see fire coming from the edges of her angry eyes. He stopped laughing immediately and shivered in fear.

"Aiish... Noona, That was scary" He said trying to calm his trembling fingers. He kept the spoon he was holding carefully on the table and looked at her.

"What you said before was an idiom... You know right?" He asked recovering from his fear.

"Why not?I do know that, I was taught English and I really... Uh.. Know it pretty well. I also know a lot of idioms in English, I didn't fail any when it was being asked in the exams" Samantha replied.

Joshua simply chuckled and looked at the table. He couldn't dare face his sister or else he might laugh out loud which would be so uncontollable.

"So, As I was saying... The idiom didn't actually say Dog–

"What? Then what?" Samantha interrupted

"It's Cat... The idiom is "Curiosity killed the cat"....Not Dog" He completed and smiled

"Oh.... I see, Hmm... Joshua?... Don't get me wrong, It's just a little mistake...I remembered but i was actually being just doubtful–

"Then can Josh ask you another?" Carly cut in with a smart grin on her face.

"Huh... What?..Sure, Huh... Yeah, Ask...I'm going to kill the questions"Samantha swallowed hard as she stammered.

Josh faced her and chuckled, He placed his head low so he wouldn't see her funny face. He could laugh anytime soon.

"Should I? Well... Here I go, Fill in the missing word in this idiom? Bury the ___?" Josh asked. Samantha felt her heart beat suddenly, She swallowed hard as her eye ball went to and fro in every corners of the room walls as she tried to think of any possible answer. She bit her finger regretting why she bragged earlier. She felt little drips of sweat on her face.

Ding! The door bell rang cutting them short.

"Who's that now? At this moment in time?" Carly yelled.

"Hey! Keep shut... You know what, Josh... When I come back I'm going to gladly answer your cheap question, Think for a better one next time and please, make it hard...Mum, Bye.. Seems my friends are here" Samantha said as she started rushing towards the door. Carly ran after her and held her shorts. "Hey! What do you think you are doing right now?" Samantha asked

"Do you want me to tell mum?" Carly asked

"Do you want me to hit you? Let go off me! What do you want to tell mum?" Samantha asked back angrily as she pushed Carly off her.

Carly looked at her angrily. "Don't you remember? When you were all dressed like a girl? Then you went to only God-knows-where!" She replied almost in a yell. Samantha gasped and quickly placed her palm on Carly's mouth.

"Hey... Keep shut huh? You know what? I'm going to double the amount I promised so–

"No, I don't want your money any longer" Carly interrupted removing Samantha's hand off her mouth

"What? Tell me what do you want? Chocolate? Chips? Cookies? Barbeque? Pizza? French fries?...Out with it already,, I'm keeping my friends waiting"

"I want you to tell me everything that happened last night, I know an awful thing happened! When you come back, I expect a honest answer... Then, I'm going to confirm if dad really went to our hometown–

"What? What you saying right now?" Samantha cut in

"No... I'm not done, I'm going to confirm if dad really went to our hometown, You are going to video call him with your phone, I want to see his face... No, Please.... Don't ask me questions! I'm smart, You know that" Carly whispered

Ding! Ding! Ding! The door bell rang again and again.

"Run along now.... You wouldn't want to keep your best friends waiting right?" Carly said with a smile

Samantha blinked her eyes as she moved towards the door anxiously. She turned back to see Carly going back to the table. "Is she really a 16 year old?" Samantha thought biting her lip as she opened the door.
