Chapter 2 Bully 2

She is a light-skinned woman of average size. When Miss Mary says she will punish you, then you aren't getting away from it.

"And you?" Her cold voice brought Joy back to reality again. "You said something about spotting Rebecca and Logan doing something shameful. When was that?" She asked.

Quickly, Joy directed her gaze to Rebecca, and she could see her boiling with turmoil. The same goes for her regiment.

She could see them clenching their fists in resentment, and their ankles were already turning white due to the way they were clenching them. Joy was sure she didn't mean to say it.

That is the repercussion of thinking too much. But what choice does she have? That is the only thing she can do whenever the world is frustrating her.

"Answer me now, Joy." Miss Mary yelled, and the anger in her voice couldn't be contained again. "Or else I am going to enjoy watching you spend the rest of your day in the detention room."

Joy gulped and said, "Detention Room." The thought of spending about five hours in the detention room, cleaning the teacher's toilet, picking pieces, or sitting under Miss Mary's desk all alone, was enough to send fear down her spine. After everything she had endured, Joy couldn't imagine that all her effort would be wasted due to her overthinking.

Now she was at a crossroads. She had indeed caught Rebecca with Delta Logan last night. She was returning from her night training when she saw both of them smooching and doing their dirty things under a mango tree that was not far from the pack house.

Even though Rebecca hasn't found her mate, the same goes for Delta Logan. But that doesn't mean they should be doing dirty things.

Due to her overthinking, she had mistakenly split the truth. How does Miss Mary even ask? She couldn't guess. Perhaps the stringent woman had asked her why they both hated each other.

Of course, it was necessary. Except for the humans and those that haven't yet turned eighteen, the rest have already discovered their power, while some have already met their mates. What about her? She is useless.

"Talk to me now, or I am reporting you to the headmistress." Miss Mary yelled angrily, followed by the murmuring of the whole class.

"You have made a deadly mistake, Miss Joy. First, you interrupted my teaching. Second, you lied about seeing the class prefect with Delta Logan, doing dirty stuff. Did you think they would let you go freely? "

Joy swallows the saliva in her mouth, dragging in a deep breath, and her brain is searching for a way out. She knew that things had just gotten complicated.

Not only that, she knew better than to incite Miss Mary. The only thing she could do now was to admit her guilt. Perhaps she might reconsider her opinion. Or, she should just tell the truth.

"You have ten seconds left," Miss Mary warned. Slowly, Joy directed her gaze to Rebecca and her squad, and she could see them shooting her death glares. Without anybody telling her, she knew what that meant. Rebecca will break down all the bones in her body, and she might get expelled from school.

But if she tells the truth, her punishment might be reduced, and she might still get a chance to stay in school. The problem she has now is that she doesn't have evidence. Who is going to believe her now?

Miss Mary slammed her hand on the table again, and the loud voice jolted Joy back to reality. Brain, why? She thought. Can't you just allow me to be a better being for a few minutes? For the sake of the moon goddess, act like a mature being. She spoke to herself.

"You are coming with me right now," Miss Mary concluded. She strides towards the front table and starts packing her books.

Not having any choice left, Joy sauntered after Miss Mary, her head bowed in embarrassment. She could hear Rebecca and her crew calling her all sorts of names, and the whole class was now making fun of her.

As soon as they reached the door, the launch bell rang loudly, and Joy let out a sigh of relief. Finally, the moon goddess had sent her a way out. She could now remember a word that says, just when the child of glory is about to stagger into the trench, the thunder will flash its light.

The alarm does not only mean lunchtime; it also means that the teacher's period is over. It is a rule in the Mega Mercy model that the students shouldn't be disturbed when it is time for lunch.

Even if they are serving detention, they should be released immediately, unless it is a grievous offence. The last time one of the teachers went against the rules, she was expelled immediately.

"Seems like today is your lucky day," Miss Mary said and hissed in irritation before she walked out.

Not waiting for Rebecca and her crew to descend on her, Joy quickly walked out, not even bothering to pack her book.

************

As Joy hurriedly headed to the cafeteria, she mistakenly bumped into something. No, someone and all the coffee poured on her school uniform. Thank goodness, it wasn't a hot one, she would have screamed her lungs out.

"Oh, goddess!!" That being said, "I'm deeply sorry." The boy apologized.

Joy raises her head, and her mouth opens wide in surprise. She has been in a mega-mercy model school for the past few months, and no one has ever said sorry, talkless of begging her. Even when they are at fault, they would rather beat her.

"Look, I am deeply sorry. I was in a hurry, and I wasn't even looking straight." The man apologizes again, and Joy can feel the regret in his voice.

Even if she wanted to be nasty to him, his cool melody, his scent, and his aura were enough to make her forgive him. Besides, she is not someone who always transfers her aggression to her victim. That is ridiculous. She would always say

Slowly, she raised her head, and it met with that of the man. He was way taller than her, his deep blue eyes staring directly into her own as if piercing into her soul. From the aura that was emitting from his body, which made her speechless, Joy was sure that he wasn't human, and he was new there.

"Are you alright, princess? He asked her again, with concern in his voice. Rebecca felt like she was on top of the world when she heard that. The boy seemed to notice her anxiety as he took a few steps closer to her.

Wait! Did she just call her princess? " Joy could feel his body nearly touching her, and that caused a strange emotion to stir in her stomach.

She wasn't a wolf, so she was sure this boy wasn't her mate. She could feel the boy's cold hand touching her chin and raising it. The touch of it sent a cold shiver down her spine.

She wanted to scream at him, slapped his hand away, and ran out of the cafeteria. But she is just too powerless to do that.

"Can I help you with anything? " The boy asked again.

"Hmm, nothing." Says Joy as she finally regains her speaking voice.

"OK," the boy said, exhaling a sigh of relief. "If you don't mind, I can make up for the damage.' He offered.

"Don't worry," Joy said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"You don't need to resist," the boy insisted. "You are coming with me." Not waiting for Joy to reply, he grabbed her hand and dragged her in the direction of the cafeteria.

Even though she wanted to resist, she wanted to slap his hand from her grip and return to the classroom. But his grip is just too hard. Besides, she is powerless against whatever magic he is using on her.
