Out of curiosity, I contacted Martha Holt, Natalia's classmate.
Martha was in the same middle school with me before and knew all my experiences.
Since long ago, she had asked me to be good to myself and shouldn't have taken all the blame for Natalia.
However, I refused to listen to her advice. After that, I even cut off contact with her.
Thinking of that, I blamed myself for being stupid.
Martha was surprised when she received my call.
I apologized to her and accepted her advice.
"You are right, Martha. She doesn't deserve my care."
Martha was relieved to see me wake up. Then, she told me what happened to Natalia recently.
Natalia paid for the dinner that night at last.
At first, she stayed calm, probably thinking that I would still pay for the meal.
However, when the dinner was almost over, I still didn't wire her a penny. She panicked.
Even if she had no money, for the sake of her poor dignity, she finally borrowed money from an affluent student who was close to her.
That student didn't lack the thousand bucks.
But Natalia didn't want to lose her last dignity.
She had to sell her handbag.
She had only five bags left in total, which were the relatively cheap ones.
The price of each was only tens of thousands.
However, she didn't take good care of these bags.
Even if she sold it as used goods, she could only make ten thousand or so.
The money could be used for a long time for ordinary students.
Natalia, however, was used to being overspending. She could use it up quickly.
Besides, she had only four bags left now.
I became curious about how she would survive after she sold all her luxury bags.
