"Jake," Lily asked as she stared into his sad eyes, "what is this place?"
"This was our home," Jake replied. "I remember this village where my father and I lived. But because of a traitor greedy for power, my father died." Each word Jake spoke was filled with vengeance. Lily felt this as she had experienced similar scenes.
Lily held his hands and showed deep sympathy for Jake. Jake offered flowers before leaving the village and prayed for the souls of the departed. Almost all the werewolves here perished during the war. Despite his anger at his former village, Jake chose to pray and forgive it. As he prayed, the place suddenly lit up like fireflies, and all the spirits lying there appeared. The former werewolves of the village rejoiced and thanked Jake, as their souls could finally rest in peace.
Jake, a disciple of the seven werewolf divine gods, needed to pray daily for his faith. Tears flowed from Jake's eyes as he saw the smiling souls in the sky. The village he once cursed was now forgiven. They left the place and journeyed towards the center of the kingdom of Klympog.
They arrived at the center of Klympog, known as Abes Kidam. They stopped at the main gate guarded by soldiers. Before entering, they had to undergo thorough inspection.
"Where are your identifications? Please show them," asked a guard, who was muscular, tall, and aged.
"Sir, we are travelers and have no identifications to show because we came from a distant place. During our journey, we encountered various monsters, and all our belongings were lost," Jake calmly replied.
The guard raised his eyebrow and immediately took out a magical crystal. "Place your hands on the magical crystal," the guard instructed. This crystal was used to detect if someone had committed a crime.
They placed their hands on it, and thankfully, they were clean and had no criminal records. The guard handed them a paper to write their names and then told them, "Use this card for your temporary identification and do not lose it. If you lose it, you will be fined, and if you cannot pay, we will arrest you for violating our law."
They took their temporary access and headed to the town center. They were amazed at what they saw. The town center was full of beautiful buildings and houses, each depicting the history and wealth of Klympog. There were large markets, jewelry shops, and restaurants filled with people.
"This is the first time I've seen the town center in my life," Jake said, with a mix of awe and joy.
"This place is so beautiful, Jake. It feels like another world," Lily said, unable to contain her amazement.
As they walked, they noticed a large plaza with singers, dancers, and vendors selling various goods. The people were cheerful and seemed carefree. In the middle of the plaza was a large fountain with a statue of a werewolf warrior standing guard.
"Come on, Lily. Let's eat first. We need to regain our strength for our next journey," Jake said.
"Yes, Jake. I'm hungry too. I hope there's delicious food here," Lily replied as they looked for a place to eat.
They entered a small restaurant filled with different kinds of food. They ordered dishes and started eating.
"Jake, what's your plan after this?" Lily asked while eating.
"I need to gather information about the Emerald family. They are responsible for my father's death, and I need to avenge him," Jake replied with determination.
"Jake, I know what you've been through is hard, but I hope I can help you with your mission. I won't leave you," Lily said with a mix of concern and support.
"Thank you, Lily. You will be a great help to me. You're with me in this fight," Jake replied, squeezing Lily's hand.
After eating, they decided to walk around the plaza and gather information. They found an old bookstore and went inside to ask.
"Good day. Do you have any books about the history of Klympog and the ruling families here?" Jake asked the shopkeeper.
"Yes, we do. In the back section, you will find the history section," the shopkeeper replied.
Jake and Lily searched for books and started reading. They found information about the Emerald family and their misdeeds in the town.
"Jake, look at this. The Emerald family is known for being abusive and greedy for power. They have used their influence for personal gain many times," Lily said while reading a book.
"No wonder they did that to my father. I need to end their reign," Jake replied, full of anger.
After learning about the history and misdeeds of the Emerald family, Jake and Lily decided to prepare themselves for the upcoming battle. Jake knew that seeking revenge would not be easy, but he was determined to bring justice to his father's death.
"Jake, how are we going to face the Emerald family? They have many followers and strong influence," Lily asked as they talked in their room at a small inn.
"We need information. We have to find out their weaknesses and how we can infiltrate their territory. I know there are people in town who are also angry at them. We need to reach out to them," Jake replied, filled with determination.
"I know someone who can help us. A former soldier who fought alongside my father. His name is Lucas. I'm sure he'll help us," Jake added.
