CHAPTER THREE

Selene's POV

I lay on the hard floor and I eventually slept off on the bed but even in my sleep, my mind knew no rest.

My mind journeyed to the time that I was born. I was Born to a Werewolf mom and a warlock father making me a hybrid but I was more of a Werewolf.

I could still remember that morning that I stood before the Council of Alpha Elders all because I had not yet wolfed out. But the truth was I had. I was afraid to display my Alpha human and half wolf because I was going to be executed

"You are not a Werewolf, you are a witch just like your father." One of the Elders spat out at me with fury.

"But is it my fault that I have not yet wolfed out?" I returned swiftly while they continued to stare at me.

I waited impatiently for their judgment. I was already tired of everything that was happening there and my mother knelt beside me.

"You and your mother are banished from the pack." They shot finally while my mother kept yelling at the top of her voice like a wounded lion.

"But I haven't done anything." She yelled at the top of her voice while I continued to stare at the men there foaming with anger.

It was right here that I decided that I was going to firm like a lioness because lamenting doesn't solve any problem, actions do.

"Fine, I accept your judgement, I am going to and never return to this pack." I returned to them and my mother shot a deadly glare at me but the indifferent look on my face remained.

"How dare you." She shot at me angrily. "You are such a misfortune and I regret ever giving birth to you." She shot at me and the words made all the hairs on my body stand and my heart was torn apart into shreds.

I stare into her eyes and the only thing that I could see was hate and disgust and my heart was torn apart into shreds. I could feel tears already forming in my eyes but I didn't allow a single drop of them to fall to the ground.

"Be strong Selina, be strong," I said to myself and I stood up from the floor, ready to leave and I shot a deadly glare at the elders. "I will be back." He fired at all of them and turned to leave.

"What can you do?' They shot after me from behind and I could feel my anger rise so bad that I had to clutch my hands to control it. This wasn't the best place to display my anger certainly.

"But she is the one at fault here. She is the abnormal wolf. Why should I also be banished with her?" My mother shot as the pack guards walked over to her to pull her away from the pack but she continued to struggle with them.

"You are the one who got married to that warlock knowing fully well what it was going to result in." They shot back at her and that was how we were chased out of the pack.

We relocated to the supernatural town just a few miles after the pack, filled with all kinds of supernatural beings.

My mom refused to talk to me throughout the process of her relocation until we got to our new home. She shot a deadly glare at me with a thick frown hanging on her face.

"What are you doing here?" She shot at me angrily and I was taken aback by her question. "What does she mean by that?" I said to myself confused.

"We can't live together, not when you are the cause of all my problems already." She shot at me and I was really confused. I just came into the town and I didn't even know my left from my right, how does she expect me to find a job and a new home?

"But.." I tried to say it but she would not allow me to say a single word.

"No, but." She returned quickly. "I already found a vampire Mayor and you will be working for him From henceforth." She shot at me.

I was happy, at least now I was going to search for a job but her offer sounded way too suspicious. "I will be getting all your income until our debts are fully cleared out." She shot at me and I was really confused. "What debts was she talking about?" I thought in my head confused.

I began work but I wasn't paid for months. I had to inquire and I was informed that my Mom had stockpiled debts acquired through gambling for me to pay.

"Splash." A splash of hot water sprinkled all over my body, making me jump up from the floor where I slept.

"What are you still doing here you fool." She growled at me and I only shot an indifferent look at her, while I tried hard to absorb the pain. She was still my mother after all.

She shot a deadly glare at me. "Leave my house and never return. You are officially disowned by me... I am not your mother and I never knew you." She shot at me.

I was broken at first. But it was only another rejection. I wasn't going to allow them to weaken me, rather they were going to make me as strong and fierce as a lioness.

I walked out of her life not knowing the direction to even take now. I Walked slowly towards the Vampire Mayor who was also my landlord.

But I was already tired of having sex with him to pay my rent. Not after what happened today at the diner and my mate calling me a flirt.

"What should I do now?" I said to myself confused. He was my last and I had to go to him, maybe he was going to give me listening ears and help me this time.

I walked over to the bar where he would be and immediately he saw me, he shot a smirk at me, knowing the reason that I was there.

"I.." I wanted to say but he cut me off almost immediately.

"I already Know the reason that you are here, we can get down to work quickly." She shot a smile at me but I shook my head to his surprise.

"I am not here to sell my body again for rent. I came here so that I will give myself a little more time to pay my rent and immediately I spat out the word from my mouth, he shot a deadly glare at me.

I could feel my heart beating hard against my chest as I stared into his eyes then I saw him pulling something from his pocket.

"What is that?" I thought in my head confused.
