Chapter 8 Trevor is in danger!

It was almost 10 pm when Attila finally left the Villa. There were no taxi and the main road is also far from the La-Revis Villa. But she doesn't have the choice but to move and use her legs.

It's a good thing there are street lights everywhere, at least she's not afraid to walk down on this darkness.

The Nob hill, a neighborhood for rich people in Los Angeles is a big place, it for sure will take a while before Attila could reach the main road. Just how many villas, Mansions, and gated luxurious houses does she have to pass by before she could reach the main road. She wondered just how many hours does she have to walk.

...

ALMOST two hours of straight walking!

Attila bend over as she massaged her legs down to her knees out of exhaustion. After that, she stopped walking and looked at the main road. Her eyes could see it already, but she's still far enough. She could see the cars and cabs passing by but even if she shout and yell, the cabs won't be able to see her.

She could just have booked an Uber awhile ago! It is so stupid of her that she haven't thought about that.

Or she could just call Meghan! Gaddamit! What was in her awhile ago that she couldn't think of any idea?!

She took a sigh as she grabbed her phone from her pocket. Before she could even turn it on, a black lamborghini driven by Simon Kennedy passed by her. On the back, tailing the car are another two black cars. Must be the securities of Simon Kennedy.

She stepped aside in the very side of the street so she wouldn't get hit by them, but the car of Simon stopped by her. The car window rolled down, showing the still cold gazes of Simon Kennedy. His suit is removed, seating on the passenger's seat, his polo is unbuttoned revealing his tiger tattoo with small dragons connecting unto his neck.

"You're still here?" He asked.

Attila looked at him with traces of sarcasm. Obviously she's here. Who else is the Attila standing in front of him? From another universe? A clone? A doppelganger? A skin walker?

"Hop in, I'll drive you home." Said Simon Kennedy. His tone is mono as always. Attila couldn't figure out if he's being sincere or he have another hidden Agenda. She just can't put herself to trust him.

"Ah... No need. I'm just waiting for my friend. She's on her way." She bluffed as she stepped back further away from his car.

He didn't say anything after that. He just rolled up the window again and drove away, leaving Attila in awe.

That's it? No more persuasion? Well... Not that she's complaining, but... Okay right, she's complaining. She would actually gonna hop in only if Simon was more sincere and insisted further.

She shook her head as she watches the cars of Simon driving away from her.

Now what? She's gonna walk again.

She took a deep breath as she turned on her phone and dialed the number of Meghan.

It took several dials before Meghan finally answered.

"Hello!" Said the sleepy voice with Latina accent of Meghan.

"Meghan, it's me, Attila."

"Hmm? What? You're still not here?" Meghan asked in her sleepy voice.

"Obviously! I'm not there yet, dufus! Could you pick me up with a taxi here? I'm so tired of walking!" Said she as she massaged her ankle from her back and then she proceeded to walk again.

"Ugh! It's so late in the night! Why did you not booked an Uber?" Meghan complained as she stood up from the bed. She looked at Trevor who's sleeping at the other bed. "Alright, I'm coming there." Meghan added as she took a wet wipe from her bag and wiped her face with it while wearing her sandals.

Afterwards, Meghan got out of their hotel room, leaving the sleeping Trevor alone while forgetting to lock the door.

After almost thirty minutes in Taxi, Meghan finally fetched Attila.

Attila immediately noticed that the only passenger of the taxi was Meghan.

"Where is Trevor?" Attila asked.

"He was sleeping so I left him there. Don't worry, I locked the hotel room so he's gonna be fine." Meghan responded followed by her yawn.

"You should have brought him! What if something happened at the Hotel?!" Attila immediately exclaimed as her worries aroused.

"Nothing will happen! Travelodge is a fine hotel! Don't make me overthink, okay? If something happens to Trevor, I'm gonna kill myself!" Said Meghan to Attila as she rolled her eyes.

Attila just sighed then she closed the taxi door. She lean down on the taxi's seat as she looked out of the window. She feels sleepy. She's so tired. She's exhausted.

Come to think of it. Now that she reconnected with her family, her life began being a mess again.

She wanted to leave this state immediately and go back to London, to that life she build there with Trevor.

But she's too tired to think more about it. She closed her eyes as her hand reached the arm of Meghan. Knowing that her best friend is with her, she felt assurance even if she sleeps right now.

20 MINUTES ago, Trevor woke up alone in their hotel room. He felt unsafe knowing no one was with him. He wiped his eye while trying to clear his vision from sleeping.

"Mom? Aunt Meghan? Where are you?" He asked as he looked around. No one was there...no one responded.

He stood up from his bed and went to the unlocked door of their room. He opened it and peeked outside only to see the empty hallway of the hotel.

"Mommy!" He yelled, his voice echoed around the hallway. He waited for a response but there was no one.

He got out of the hotel room and went to the elevator. The little five year old boy anticipated that his mommy and aunt Meghan must be at the lobby.

Little did he knew that a man in a hoodie was following him.

It was good for Trevor that he is a smart kid, because he was able to use the elevator with no predicament.

After arriving at the ground floor, he got out of the elevator and looked around.

"Mommy!" He called. His curly hair is all messy and he had that worried look in his cute face. He also feels hungry.

Since it was so late in the night, there were no much people at the lobby except the crews and staff at the receptionist's bar. Upon screaming the name of his mother, his tiny voice echoed on the hall.

That called the attention of a staff.

"Hello cute, little boy. What are your doing down here?" The staff with a pin name 'Lalia' on her ID approached Trevor.

"I am sorry to bother you. I woke up in my room and my mommy was not in there. I was scared." He said in a sincere tone.

"Maybe your mother went somewhere else. What is your name and what is your mother's name? I may be able to help you." Said Lalia.

"I am Trevor and my mother's name is Tila," said Trevor as he yawned.

Before Lalia could even respond, a man in a dark gray, fubu hoodie jacket picked up Trevor that almost frightened the little boy with this unfair presence of someone and his distrust.

"There you are, Trevor!" Said the unfamiliar man. Trevor tried to turn and look into the man to see his face but he was unable to do so because the man was carrying him from the back.

"Uhmm, excuse me sir but who are you?" Out of concern, Lalia asked as she hold tightly into the hand of Trevor. The staff couldn't just trust anybody specially that it's a boy they are talking about and the guy might be a kidnapper.

The guy smiled, a very wide smile with traces of genuine.

"I am Dobert, the babysitter of Trevor Williams, the son of Tila and Travis." Said the man to Lalia.

To Lalia, the man doesn't seem to be a lier. But after making sure that Dobert is actually the babysitter of Trevor, Lalia let Dobert handled Trevor. She bid goodbye to the two of them and went back to her work.

Dobert gave a smirk as he looked at Trevor, which Trevor couldn't do back because the man's chest is blocking his head to look into his face.

"Trevor, I'm a friend of your mother and she told me that she couldn't go to you tonight so I had to look for you. Do you trust me?" Said Dobert to Trevor.

Trevor immediately believed. He just nodded to him as a response.

"Thank you. Do you want to eat something? " Said Dobert as they walked toward the exit of Travelodge.

"Yes, I am hungry." Trevor responded.

Dobert smiled and took Trevor to the closest convenience store of the Travelodge.

After buying ice cream and chips, Dobert brought Trevor on a bench and they sat together.

While eating, Dobert then showed his real motive as he took out his notebook and ballpen. It turns out, he is a journalist and is tasked to write about the wife of Travis Williams from the photography taken at the airport when Attila arrived awhile ago.

"So Trevor. I'm just a not very closed Friend of your mother so I just have few questions. Will that be okay?" Said Dobert as he ate a piece of chips.

Trevor just nodded.

"Is Travis Williams really your father?" Dobert asked.

"Who is Twavis lilliams?" Trevor clarified as he munched on the ice cream.

"Your father, the man who was hugging your mother from the airport." Dobert answered.

Trevor stopped munching for a bit as he tried to remember that. He then ate a spoonful of his recees peanut butter ice cream.

"Yes! He is my father!" He exclaimed excitedly while his mouth is full of ice cream.

"Is your mommy and daddy married?" Dobert asked again while writing on his notebook.

"I'm hungry. I want more sweets!" Trevor responded instead.

Dobert took a sigh as he grabbed the bottle of milk and more white chocolates for Trevor. Trevor immediately and excitedly took all of it after Dobert opened them for him.

"So is your mom and dad married?" He asked again.

Trevor gulped up the milk first before answering. "Yes they are. They love each other. Daddy even protected mommy from the bad guy."

Dobert nodded while smirking and looking at the informations he confirmed. Everybody knew that the multi-billionaire Travis Williams who owns a corporate conglomerate that's almost conquering all businesses and companies under all industries is a tyrant, woman hater man. Publishing an article about Travis being actually married and have a son will be a very big hit for their publishing house. He will save their company with these informations.

"Alright, Trevor. Thank you for all of that. Just a question, are you capable going back at the hotel alone? You don't have to cross the road. It's definitely just beside the convenience store we are at." Dobert asked as he stood up and prepared to leave.

"Yes. My mommy said I'm a big boy so I can handle myself. I'm just gonna finish eating all of these because my mommy said it's bad to waste foods. I already opened all of the foods. Thank you for all of these." Trevor responded as he continued to munch on it. Dobert just nodded and left Trevor there. He couldn't wait any longer and immediately wanted to write the article about Travis Williams.

After awhile of binge eating sweets and dairy snacks, Trevor felt an unbearable tummy ache. He tried to stand up and reach for the drinking fountain beside the entrance of the convenience store but he fell on his knees as he began uncontrollably vomited.

" Mommy..." He uttered while tearing and vomiting.
