Chapter 3 EVA

Eva's Point of view

My friend who had just been punished fell on her knees before Conor. She started begging him.

"Please forgive me. Don't suspend me from being the CEO. I am sorry."

He arched his eyebrows at her. "You should have thought about this before taking the move." "If you don't comport yourself and leave here this minute, I will have your employment terminated."

Expression of fear and disdain was captured on her face. She sat on the ground with tears in her eyes. After a minute, she took her leave.

Conor looked at me. "Congratulations, Miss Eva on starting a new position." Conor had his lips curved with a smile when he said that to me.

My heart was glad. Even the jewelry business I was doing wasn't doing all good. My dream has been to work with A&Scompany. This opportunity given to me is a golden feat I never expected.

"Thank you."

"Since you have just been offered employment. When will you start working?" He looked at me in the eyes.

I didn't have to think about it. "If you want me to start now, I will start." I spoke those words hurriedly.

Then, he smiled. "You can start working tomorrow. I look forward to seeing your arts."

Getting home that day to narrate my experience with my parents. It was something exciting and wonderful.

Even my friend's; Laura and Clara were happy for me.

The next day. I dressed up and went out for work after greeting my parents. Getting to my work place, for the first time, I had an office I could call my own.

The interior was a good one. I realized I had all the tools necessary to facilitate my skills. The work environment was conducive.

Without further ado, I took my seat in front of a white drawing board. I was about drawing when I heard a knock at the door. I arched my eyebrows to see who it was. The person stepped inside after a single knock.

It appeared it was Conor. I inhaled the air in my nostrils and a shooting smile hovered all over my face.

"I can see you are about to get to work. Congratulations on your new appointment once again."

"Thank you, Mr Conor. Without you, I won't be here in any way."

"Let me just say, we are fated to meet." He seductively gazed into my eyes after those words left his lips.

I smiled and I went back to what I was doing.

Only for me to see that Conor wore a serious gaze. I wondered what that was all about. He said, "Eva. You've got to pause what you are doing. I need to have a serious conversation with you." Although I wasn't in the proper mood to talk; especially when the imagination was fresh."

"What do you want to talk about?" I left what I was doing to focus on him. He was my benefactor.

He swallowed the saliva in his mouth. "You got this job all because of my grace. Saying thank you's not enough. What are you going to give me in return?"

Hearing that took me aback. "Are you serious right now?" My soft tone became harsh.

"Yes. What are you going to give me? Or should I make you face injustice?" I wondered how despicable he could be. His words irked me and I got furious with him.

"I don't know you could be this despicable. All because we had sex that day doesn't mean I will be giving you sex for every good thing you do for me. Can't you be humane for once? Oh... that's my mistake. You are just a gigolo who gets into any lady's skirt." I took a pause before I continued. "Instead of me, why don't you order those girls to come and make you cum."

After hearing what I said, he responded with shock. "What?! I can't believe you will say this to me. Even though I love to have sex with a lot of girls... Is this what you think of me?" I could tell he felt insulted and embarrassed. His countenance changed and he grinded his teeth furiously.

With breath leaving my nostrils, I went back to do what I was about doing before the thought of him obstructed me. Trying to draw what I had in mind, I realized I couldn't concentrate.

Banging my hand on the table, I said, 'Fuck! He just made my day a mess.'

I thought I was having a bad day already not knowing what was coming for me.

A few hours later. I heard my phone ring. That distracted me from the perfect drawing I was about to make. I picked up my phone to check it only for me to discover it was an unknown number.

I picked up the number to hear what the person had to say. "Hello." I said.

"Hello, is this Miss Eva?" I oozed out breath from my nostrils and replied sharply. "Yes."

"Miss Eva. Your house has just collapsed with two unidentified people stuffed in there." The person hung up the call after giving me that information.

My world came crashing. I felt a knot in my chest and my breath was ceasing. Hearing that voice say two unidentified people, I connected the dots and I felt it was my parents.

Tears began to mold my face. I rushed out of my office in horror and I went back home to behold the ruin.

Getting there, I couldn't control myself. I cried my eyes out. Some people came to console me. The bodies of the people that were crushed inside the house were retrieved. Unfortunately, their heads were in shambles and I couldn't recognise who they were anymore. I had to make myself believe that they were my parents. I cried even more before I took my leave.

Getting back to the company, I went to my office quietly. I couldn't stop sobbing. While I was heavy, Conor stepped into my office to check on me.

And when he saw I was crying, he was moved with compassion. "What happened?" Hearing his voice, my lips were very heavy for me to move.

"I...I lost my parents because the house we live in collapsed on them." I cried even more.

Conor approached me and hugged me. I embraced him and wept on his shoulders. I was surprised he wasn't acting up even with what I said to him.

Conor was right. If I reject his help, I have nowhere to stay. So, I accepted the offer.

"Okay. But I will only stay for a month." After hearing me, Conor nodded his head in agreement. His lips curved with a dark smile. 'A month is enough for me to get under your skirt again.' He thought in his head.

Conor's pov

After Eva accepted my offer. I do not know the reason I couldn't get her off my mind. My heart seemed so preoccupied by her thoughts.

While I was arranging the files that were on my table, I heard a knock at my door. I raised my head and wondered who it was. The person opened the door and to my surprise, it was Clarrisa, the lady that had been all over me.

She walked up to me and her eyes mingled with a sparkling gaze.

"I thought I told you never to come to my office. What are you doing here?" I hardened my face and my voice became as rigid as the stone.

She didn't bother to say a word. She walked beside my table until she reached my front. I lifted up my gaze to look at her face.

"Why are you behaving like this? Mr Conor. You are after every lady's skirt. But why am I different? Why don't you want to touch me? Look at the milky body right before you." While she spoke those words seductively. Her dramatic display cut my breath.

Before I knew what was happening, she laid her hand on my chest, caressing my nipples. I bit my lower lips ready to have her to myself since that was what she wanted.

That was when something terrible happened. Eva walked into my office without knocking on the door.

She met me in a compromising position with this lady. Her eyes widened with shock.
