"I am" she said knowing that he didn't want to be disturbed.
"How did your trade go?" He asked trying to steer the talk from himself. His mother green eyes regarded him.
"It went well" she answered and she sat beside him and ruffled his hair.
"I was talking about how happy you looked" she continued and Henry wisely kept quiet. "Is there a lady in the picture" she asked and Henry shook his head.
"Who said it was about a lady" he countered and his mother gave him a knowing smile.
"I know you dear" she said and kissed his cheek. "I am your mother, now tell me who the lucky lady is" she said and Henry rolled his eyes.
"Gosh Mom! It's just a car race, I won" he lied and his mother shook her head, not fooled.
"Now now, dear. Don't lie to me. Just tell me her name and I'll leave you alone" she insisted and Henry slumped in defeat.
"Fine! Her name is Emily and I met her at the anniversary yesterday" he said and his mother smirked.
"Great!" She said and stood, "I'll have the servants whipped up something to eat" she said and walked away leaving Henry wondering what he got himself into.
Henry drank the last of his wine and sighed in contentment and walked to his room, he quickly wrote a letter and called a servant to help him deliver it.
As he drifted up to sleep, he smiled. He would see her again, maybe this time he'll tell her how he felt.

Henry eat his food in silence, from across the table his mother watched him and Henry rolled his eyes knowing what was brewing in that mind of hers. She smiled at him and he scowled.
"So when is Emily coming for dinner" his mother asked and Henry glared at her. His mother was as manipulative as ever.
"Who's Emily" his older sister asked and he scowled at her.
"It's none of your business Sage, fuck off" he said and his mother raised a brow.
"No swearing, honey. Swearing is for commoners" she said with mock sweetness. Henry shook his head and suddenly he didn't feel like eating.
"I'll head to my quarters" he said and his mother eyes dug into his icily.
"No" she said firmly, "You'll finish your food" she said and Henry smiled coldly.
"You damn do not tell me what to do mother" he said the last word with ice and stood.
"Enjoy your meal, mother" he said and walked away.
"Come back here Henry!" His mother yelled but Henry paid no heed, he was done for today. He headed outside and stared at the sky. He wished his father was here, he would have welcomed whatever Henry want with open arms.
"I miss you dad" Henry muttered and motioned for his driver to drive, he slipped into the car.
"Edinburg" he said and the driver nodded, he was going to meet Emily. The car stopped into front of a house and the door opened, there she was looking beautiful as ever in a simple dark blue gown. She smiled and he could have sworn his heart thumped harder. He smiled back her at her and inclined at her dress.
"Nice dress" he said and Emily grinned at him, her blond hair caught in the wind make her look more beautiful.
"Nice dress you say?" She said and I smiled. "Yours is a beacon compared to mine" she added and Henry smiled.
"You got my letter?" He asked and she nodded, he held out his hand and she took it, her hands felt so smooth and fragile. He nodded to the driver who nodded back and walked out of the car, Henry took the wheel.
"I want to you to choose where you want to go." Henry said and Emily shook her head.
"I can't choose for you" Emily said and Henry turned to stare at her.
"Why?" He asked and she stared at him and looked down.
"You're....a prince" She said not meeting his eyes and he raised her chin forcing her to stare into his eyes.
"That doesn't matter Emily" he said looking into her brown eyes. "With you I don't feel like a prince" he said and she stared at him for a long time then she smiled.
"Is that a good thing, a prince should feel like a prince" she said and he chuckled.
"Well I don't" he said, he tapped his fingers on the wheel and the corner of lips lifted into a charming smile.
"How about I take you to an amusement park" he teased and she nodded.
He blinked, did she just agree to that? He forced a smile to mask his surprise.
"You sure you heard me right?" He asked and she nodded with a smug smile.
"I heard you, your highness" she said and he smiled back.
"Don't call me that" with that he stepped in the throttle in purpose jolting the car forward.
"Buckle up" he said and they sped away.
