Chapter 7 Meeting that Man Again

Lucia looked at Dominic's face somewhat absentmindedly, thinking that this was the man she'd been waiting for those fifteen years. His face was not crushed in this life, and his legs were fine. It was truly extraordinary.

Compared to the ones she had met in her previous life, Dominic didn't look like the same person. Dominic is handsome, tall, strong, and looks perfect. Lucia's eyes became wet as she thought about their past lives. It brought complex emotions into her heart.

"Does it hurt?" Dominic guiltily looked at the teary Lucia, thinking she was crying because she had body aches.

Lucia shook her head, indicating that she did not feel any pain.

"Do not be afraid. The doctor has done a thorough examination of your body. You don't have any wounds other than your forehead, so once it heals, you'll be fine." Dominic soothed her gently.

Lucia nodded slightly, then closed her eyes and fell back asleep.

Dominic asked the hospital to provide Lucia with the best room and treatment. Lucia could only rest in bed for the next few days and undergo various head examinations. The doctors also reassured Lucia that they would use the best medicine to ensure no scars were left on the woman's forehead.

Lucia felt there was no difference between staying in a hotel room and staying in the hospital, with room service and Dominic coming in every day. She only regretted missing the entrance exam for New York University, the university she wanted to be a place to study. She had initially thought that once she changed Dominic's fate on this mountain, she would have time to return and take the entrance exam. She did not expect to be injured and had to stay for tests and treatment.

"Thank you for saving me." Dominic thanked Lucia again.

"You already know who I am, don't you?" Lucia sat on the bed, watching Dominic.

Dominic, of course, knew everything about Lucia, including her relationship with Cleon. When he saw the information about Lucia, he was surprised by the coincidence. The person who saved him was Cleon's ex-girlfriend, and they had broken up unpleasantly.

What confused him was that Lucia should not be in this state then. After all, it was when the universities started their entrance exams in New York. However, Lucia had appeared here, and it was as if she had explicitly come just to save him.

"How do you want me to repay you?" Dominic asked Lucia.

"Reply to me?" Lucia didn't even think about it.

"You saved my life, so I have to avenge that deed. As long as it's something I can do, I'll help you." Dominic thought that if he fell from that mountain, even if lucky, he would lose half of his life. More than anything, he disliked being in debt the most. Let alone a life-saving debt, so he had to pay it back.

"I'll tell you after I think about it." Lucia felt like summoning a genie in a lamp. After all, there were so many things the leader of the Franklin family could do, so she had to think about it.

"I must return to New York tomorrow to handle some important matters. Do you want to go home with me, or do you want to stay here to recuperate before returning?" Dominic asked.

"I'll be back with you," Lucia answered immediately. Since Dominic is back in New York, what is the point of staying?

Dominic finds out that Lucia has sold her house, so she is homeless, and her relationship with her family is troubled. Lucia is injured in rescuing him, and Dominic must take care of her post-injury recovery. According to Dominic's character, he should have sent Lucia to the hotel and then let his people take care of her until she fully recovered.

However, when he saw Lucia's deer-like eyes look moist and her expression pathetic from injury, he felt a softness that surprised even himself. Ultimately, he decided to take Lucia home and care for her in person.

Lucia is also surprised that Dominic would take her back to the Franklin family home on Mount Grande. When she thought about her plans for the future, she did not realize how pathetic she looked in Dominic's eyes.

Dominic explained to the head housekeeper, Mr. Miller, that Lucia would stay at the main house for a while. The housekeeper will care for Lucia until she recovers, and a hospital check says there are no problems.

Although it was the Franklin family's main home, it was not the Franklin family's property. Instead, Dominic bought it, and the entire Grande Mountain is Dominic's private property. Lucia thought that since Dominic invited her to live there, she could relax and live peacefully. She also wanted to see Cleon's expression once he discovered he lived there.

Lucia, however, had dated Cleon and was quite familiar with the man's character. His grandfather raised Cleon and only returned to the Franklin family home as an adult. He had his own house outside and did not return to the Franklin residence daily. In addition, the Franklin family home is also huge. So that even if they were under the same roof, they might still need to meet. Lucia thought she would stay there for at least a few days before seeing Cleon.

However, Cleon suddenly appeared while Lucia and Dominic had breakfast the following day. He looked like he wanted to say something to Dominic, but when he saw Lucia, he stopped in surprise.

"What are you doing here?" Cleon asked as soon as he came back to his senses.

"Who allowed you to come here?"

Lucia did not answer, instead deliberately looking at Dominic with innocent and helpless eyes.

"She is the guest I invited to stay here. Do you want to say something about it?" Dominic looked at Cleon coldly.

Cleon, taken aback by Dominic's words, growled, "Daddy, what did she tell you? I broke up with her. And whatever she says, it's a lie. Don't believe her."

"I know she broke up with you. She has nothing to do with you, so you do not have to care about that. If you do not want to see her, do not return here." Dominic hated Cleon's mother and grandparents, even Cleon himself. However, it was time to reveal that he was not Dominic's real son.

"Daddy, you must not let her stay here. You have no idea what kind of person she is,"

"For the last time, I say she is my guest. If you dare continue to be rude to her, don't enter this house even half a step."

Dominic's face showed no expression, not even anger. However, this lack of emotion scared Cleon even more than usual. Not daring to say anything, he could only clench his fists and glare at Lucia.

"Mister Franklin," Lucia looked at Dominic and said, "Cleon doesn't want to see me, and I don't want to see him either. Why not just let me stay in the hotel?"

"You just stay here and don't need to go anywhere."
