Chapter 4 Neli, Former Prostitute

"Lisa, you have to go home now to Mom's house. I'll explain everything about Neli, that slut," Lisa's mother-in-law said into the phone.

Lisa didn't answer immediately, she remembered Rian's treatment which almost made Lisa die uselessly.

"But I don't want to see Rian again, Mom." Lisa lowered her voice, whether her mother-in-law agreed or not it was clear that Lisa was very traumatized by the sight of her husband.

"Yes, dear. You're entitled to that, but just listen to me this time," Lisa's mother-in-law said a little pleadingly.

With a heavy heart, Lisa was forced to nod to the orders of her mother-in-law. After all this time, it was Lisa's mother-in-law who had helped Lisa's life after being left behind by her parents.

"Yes, ma'am. As soon as Lisa gets better, Lisa will go to Mom's house," Lisa replied in a calm voice.

"Are you sick?" asked Lisa's mother-in-law quickly.

"Quickly tell me where you are? You don't have anyone out there. Mommy's coming to get me, honey." Lisa's mother-in-law panicked when she heard Lisa wasn't okay.

"I'm in a safe place right now. When I recover, I will definitely come to your house." Lisa then disconnected the call unilaterally. Her head was a little dizzy, her mood unstable. The reality of losing a child had made Lisa's heart ache even more.

"Even though all this time I was expecting a child," Lisa guma softly while holding her stomach again, she seemed unwilling to accept the fact that she had lost a child.

"Strengthen me O God, to face the reality that does not match my expectations," Lisa said again remembering her household on the verge of collapse. The woman was getting sad, she lay back down. Her eyes could not close, her thoughts were too complicated and chaotic.

"Dad, Mom. I miss you, can't you take me away with you," Lisa murmured softly with a sad voice. She was really tired of facing this reality. She never thought she would have a partner who would cheat on her with another woman.

"Even though they're just friends, their behavior is too much. There's no way there isn't a special relationship between them," Lisa said, remembering how attentive Rian was with Neli.

After crying over her life for a long time, Lisa began to feel very sleepy. Finally she was able to fall asleep soundly.

"Mom! What you said was an unfounded accusation. How did you know that Neli was a former prostitute? You only heard it from the neighbor's gossip, didn't you?" said Rian, looking sharply at his own mother.

"Look at you, you even dare to yell at me because of that woman!" retorted Rian's mother, who didn't understand her son's way of thinking.

"I'm surprised at you. You've got a beautiful, kind-hearted wife, even willing to quit her job just to take care of the household. You've been blind all this time!" continued Rian's mother with emotion. The woman who had entered her old age immediately sat down, holding the tightness in her chest. She had no idea that her son was still interested in a former prostitute.

Rian saw his mother holding her chest, a little worried if his mother's illness would recur. With a little pity, Rian approached his mother. Trying to persuade her mother that all the problems facing the Rian household were the fault of Lisa who had run away from home with all the documents, including important assets of their property.

"Mom, listen to me, it's all Lisa's fault. That woman is very cunning, she deliberately lives with us. She's only after our wealth, Mom. Try to compare it with Neli, she is an independent woman who never gives trouble," said Rian quietly and gently.

But Rian's mother's reaction was unexpected, without saying a word, the woman immediately slapped her son. Her breathing was getting up and down irregularly, she felt short of breath after hearing her son's words.

"You brat! You're such a disgrace, it's only fitting that Lisa ran away from home! And don't you dare compare Lisa to that whore! I'm not willing to have offspring from that despicable woman!" said Rian's mother who immediately stood up, she could not understand the way her son thought.

Rian clenched his fists tightly, he couldn't accept his mother's contempt for Neli. Rian danced a long breath, he had decided not to continue his household with Lisa.

"Okay! Then I will divorce Lisa. I don't want to live with a woman I don't love!" Rian immediately turned around and left her very angry mother.

"Rian! Wait!" her mother shouted, trying to stop Rian from leaving the house.

"Oh my God. Why is that kid so stupid. I'm sure he's been mindwashed by that whore!" muttered Rian's mother, holding her tight chest.

Soon the woman was hobbling towards the medicine cabinet. She took a few grains of shortness of breath medicine. She swallowed them, desperately hoping that her illness would soon be cured. But with the incident just now, she felt that her illness would get worse.

"There are trials in life. I really hope Rian forgets about that prostitute. What made him stay with that woman, from then until now." Rian's mother clenched her fists tightly.

Lisa woke up from her sleep, the woman was as refreshed as ever. The pain in her head and stomach gradually disappeared.

"I hope I can go home today," Lisa murmured when she saw the nurse walking towards her.

"Good afternoon, ma'am. I'll check back on your health progress. Previously, have you had any complaints of pain so far?" the nurse asked politely and kindly.

Lisa quickly shook her head, "Nothing so far. It seems like my head and stomach are also getting better," Lisa replied not lying.

"Very well. Then you can go home today. I'll prescribe some medicine in case the pain recurs," the nurse smiled once more and left.

Lisa smiled with relief, "I can't stay in the hospital for too long. I have to take care of the divorce papers soon," Lisa muttered, remembering her domestic problems with Rian.

Lisa glanced at her cell phone which was ringing, she saw Rian's name on the screen.

Instantly Lisa shook her head, "What's wrong with calling me? You cruel man!" Lisa said ignoring the call from her husband.

Not long after the ringing ended, Lisa's cell phone rang again.

"Oh my God Rian! You really make me emotional," said Lisa taking her cell phone, then looking at who was calling.

"Neli?" muttered Lisa in surprise.

"This must be Rian telling Neli that I ran away from home.

Looks like it's fun to serve this cheap woman," Lisa muttered with a sly smile.
