Chapter 5 Five

Eve pov

Gabriella and Daniel help with the luggages while I cross check to see if I missed anything,am finally going to NEW YORK to see sandy,I had talked to stella and hilda and they said I should go for it. I stared at sandy picture from my phone which I used as my wall paper.

"I still can't believe you and sandy dated",Gabriella squeal."you know I have always loved sandy and worship him as a god and it took Daniel six months for me to confess my love for him.

"Oh,my it was not easy." Daniel added.

Gabriella and I laughed.

"Ok,all done you are ready to go. Daniel said arranging the bags.

"This is it."I said.

Gabriella held my hands with her hands looking at me.

"You are going to another country with no one by your side,are you ready? And I know that all lot of girls are going to be over him and some won't let you see him,make sure you stand your ground and grow your nails and use them to destroy their faces,be like a feisty cat."

"And that can get you in lots of trouble or you listen to Gabriella words". Daniel warned.

Gabriella rolled her eyes,making me giggle.

"You have to go,your flight is in two hours". Daniel said glancing at his watch.

"Why are you in haste you are not the one going".gabriella snapped.

"Oh,he wants me to go and get him a job at one of Sandy's best hotels".I said.

"So,this why you helped her for your selfish reasons". Gabriella pouts.

"Come on let's go". They pack my luggage at the back of Daniel truck,I waved Gabriella goodbye,she waved back.

"Goodluck". Daniel said.

I waved him too goodbye,I obeyed every instruction from the flight attendant,the journey will take two hours.

The pilot said it's time to take off,fasten my seat belt and the plane took of,I was so happy to meet sandy,I can only hope for the best,I am taking a big step to an unknown place. I looked out the window,America is beautiful from up here and hope hilda and stella will see as they said at the group chat.

"New york, here I come".

Sandy POV

"Sir,this just turned in from your father,he said that it is important".My new secretary told me,holding the red file in her hands.

"Thank you,you can leave."

She dropped it and left the office,I looked away from my laptop to carry the file. I was flabbergasted as my eyes scanned the file.

"Hey,man". Ralph enters and sits.

My fists tighten as I read all the shit again,I threw the file away.

"What the heck,another mistake from your employees".

"I wish,dad sent this file and what is written in there is shit".

"What is in the file?". Ralph asked.

"It says that the san cooking school wants a new hotel,not the old ones,and dad told them a new expensive hotel in being prepared and now I have to build a new hotel in less than three months or else the deal will not be finalised". I spat.

"That's bullshit". Ralph scrowled."what is the plan?".

"I dont know what,the clients had already believe have a new hotel when we don't have any plan in mind". I slumped on my seat.

"Why will he do that?".

"That is what I want to know,am calling him,probably he was drunk when he did this shit". I reached for my phone to call him. Ralph sat down there staring at space.

Eve POV

Here I am,standing at the exit of the airport,I finally made it to New York.

Sandy was right,New york is beautiful.

I flagged a cab to take me to Gems,Sandy works there.The cab man said there are lot of Gems hotel around,so he doesn't know which one,I told him where am going to,and we are off. I looked out the window,New york is amazing,I took pictures and videos, i called stella and the rest but it was not going I wanted to tell them I have arrived.I just can't wait to see the surprising look on his face when we meet and I have been dreaming and hoping of this moment.

The cab stopped,I paid and got down,and I saw it Gems. Sandy workplace.it is huge,I wonder how his office looks like,I bet he can see the whole world from here. I opened the glass door, I spotted the reception.

I stood in front of the receptionist huge desk. She looks professional,he put her dark hair to a bun,wearing a fitted black suit. I stared at her,she stared back. I tapped the small bell on her desk.

"Hello,am evelyn stevenson".

She sighs,look at me up and down,look behind me and give a questionsly look.

" i do not get paid for this kind of shit show".

"Ok so I don't understand you".

She sighs again, getting pissed.

"Welcome to Gems hotel,how can I help you?"She blurts.

"Oh good,,am here to see your boss, Sandy Mazano".

"You have an appointment with him".

"No,but we know each other and I know he will let me in".

"Nice try,if you want to see him you need and appointment and since you don't,you are one of the bitches and sir doesn't like disturbance,so leave,you can't let me lose my job". She sneered and continued with her work.

I just stood,she can't let me leave like this. No way.

"No".

"No?", giving me a questioning look.

"You heard me,am going to wait for him to come out".

"Miss eve,you have to leave or I will force you out with the security". She dared.

"I don't think so,you said I need an appointment and that mr sandy doesn't like disturbance and if you call the security I will create a drama here and you can get fired".

There was an awkward silence between us.

"Please leave and don't make things worse for you and me".She begged.

"I will think about it if you get me a coffee,am sure you have coffee here right."

The receptionist sent daggers to me,I returned it with a innocent smile,she just smiled.

"Don't worry,sir will deal with you soon".And with that she continued her work.

I say down there holding my luggage employees passing and looking at me,I do feel inferior,I just have to wait for him. Thirty minutes passed,no sign of him,I drank my coffee, i am pressed,I need to use the restroom.

"Where is the restroom?".

"Miss,if you are mistaken,this is not an hotel but an office,so you can leave the hotel is just three blocks from here".

I asked again."the restroom". Telling her am not going anywhere,she sighs again,pointing at the door opposite the reception."girls restroom is the on the left."

"Thank you". I went to the bathroom and oh my it was big,pretty much bigger than my kitchen with my room too,I did my business,I washed my hands when I heard yelling voices outside,I cleaned my hands with my shirt and leave to see my bags opened and scattered all over the marble floor,I gasped.

"Who owns this?,what is this?". A man in dark blue suit said.

"I will ask again who owns this?". His voice booms in the room with authority. I turned to look at the receptionist she seem terrified as I am.

"Come on,we don't have time for this,we have bigger plan".Another man said who was beside him and I can make out his face but not the other grumpy one,all my things are scattered around and am sure he was the one who bumped into it and bust it open.

"Am sorry sir,it's for a lady,she wanted to book a room". The receptionist lied.

"Didn't you tell her the way".he shouted again all employees stops to watch I stood at the door far away from them.

"I did,she went to use the bathroom and after that she will leave". She assured him,which I was also thinking,I don't want to ruined my first day in New york. I shouldn't have taken gabriella words.

"You are.....".

"You can take care of this later,we have work to do,and to you clean this up and never allow anyone except from our clients".the other man said if the grumpy man had continued she would have been fired.

They left,then the employees continued their works,I left to pack my things.

"You are so much in trouble,I almost lost my job because of you".

"Am sorry".

"Get up and leave now".she grabbed my arm roughly,dragging me out with security holding my luggage.

"And stay out."

"I will be back."

I packed my things,stared at the office,I sigh and leave.i can't get to sandy,where do I go and Daniel and others are not picking my calls,well let's see what will unfold.
