Chapter 4 Four

Sandy POV.

Dinner with my family can mean two things,one,they have good news or bad news and two,we all just assemble and talk but I doubt number two is gonna happen because my mother always set the day and inform us but instead by father called,not good.

"Sandy!,you are here".

My little twin sister ivy shouted from the corner of her room,I waved at her giving her my billion dollars smile,she giggles,run down the stairs to meet me.

"Boy am I happy to see you,and oh my love the shoes,you are early and eager for the dinner".

Ivy is my younger sister along side with iris,they twins,ivy she's the quiet one,loving sister,that why she is my favourite while iris is the jovial,desirable girl, they are seventeen years old.

"You look unprepared than me,let me guess you just woke up". I joked.

Ivy is dressed in a simple gown with sunflower designs all over it and pawn sandals which compliment her blonde hair,while an dressed in my office wear. Ivy pouts.

"I am ready,I am not as fashionable as my other twin and you,but I dont get into trouble,I really love your jacket". Ivy cooled,I laugh.

"Where is iris?".

"She is out,she will be back soon".ivy answered.

Strong and the same fragile hands wrapped around my torso.

"Sandy!!!!". Iris squeal at my back.

"Speaking of soon,she is here". Ivy said.

"Hello iris". Iris looks at me.

"Love the outfit,you are really eager for the dinner,I have to go and change,I need to look gorgeous".

I stiff laugh when ivy rolled her eyes.

"You look perfect". iris is wearing a white crop top with denim waist jeans with high heels.

"Why,your outfit is okay or are you feeling inferior?". Ivy said in an annoying tone.

"No,I just want to look better than others here".Iris said sticking her tongue out,ivy do the same,teenagers.

"I better rush".And with that she left with a lot of shopping bags which we didn't see.

"Show off". ivy snorted.

"You wanna tell me what happened?".

"Nah,I dont want to ruin my appetite for dinner maybe later,so dad called you right?".

"Yea,which makes me nervous".

"Well,today isn't your lucky day,this dinner is about your marital affairs".ivy smiles making me frown.

"Yea,sorry,because this is not a family dinner for you but a date because dad got you a date".

"What!?"

"Duh,wonder why I compliment you,she will be flabbergasted". I should have changed.

"she is beautiful and dead gorgeous, dad got a good fish for you".

"I don't want this,why he can't he understand that". i sigh.

Ivy shrugs."goodluck". she said giving me a million dollars smile."I know you,I should have told you,but am grounded because of you know who and I cant wait for the drama tonight,iris and I have been waiting for this".

I sigh again,dad really cross the line. "why will he get me a date?".

"Sorry,well goodluck".

"Sandy dear".A voice said from behind.

"Mom".

"I will go,see ya." Ivy left.

"Its been two years since you left,come back home. My mom begged.

"Ma you know that can never happen".

I left home when my dad insisted on me getting married,I was not ready,so I left the house and I love living alone at my private house and one of my hotel near my office incase am to busy and can't make it. home,the only time to come home is family dinner like this which make me rethink I should stop this dinner things,it getting really bad for me.

"Get ready for dinner".

"Why,to see my wife,dad brought for me".I said in an angry tone.

Mother cups my face with her hands.

"Am sorry",was all she can say.

"Let get this over with". I said holding her hands.

We head to dining room,I hear laughter,I see ivy laughing with a lady across her which is my date,ivy was right she is hot but am not interested,she was wearing a red gown and dark silky hair and slight heavy makeup,which fit her.

"Am sorry if we are late".my mother said.

"No,not at all ivy is keeping me company".she replied politely.

"No,you are keeping me company".ivy said.

"This is my son,sandy,Garcia meet sandy,sandy Garcia".

It's a pleasure meeting you".

I just nodded,I sat down near ivy.

"She is amazing,I think she is perfect". Ivy said earning a glare from me.

"Woah,who is this hottie here,friend of yours ivy,you finally got her a perfect friend in your life, nice catch". Iris said which made ivy rolled her eyes again making Garcia and me stiff a laugh.

"Actually she is my friend and probably soon to be sister in law". Ivy snapped.

"What!finally I get to be a sister in law,and she is awesome".iris cooled making ivy gag.

"Can we just start eating". I yelled.

Sandy manners,we have to wait for your father". Mother said making me frown hard.

"Yea, let the party crasher get here".

We waited,iris and Garcia wont stop talking.

"Sorry". Ivy said with puppy eyes".i nodded."I know some people are annoying",ivy added throwing eye daggers at iris,making me laugh ,that why ivy is my favourite she understands me and she makes me laughs, I looked at mother she is getting impatient and I am.

"Psst,Sandy I gat to tell you something,Garcia is a business partner with dad,so we have two guesses one she is her for business or two she is your soon to be wife for both business and marital affairs".

"What!."

"Sorry,am late everyone I was busy,hope am forgiven".dad of a demon said and all of them all forgived him,he sat down.

"So shall we start?". Dad suggested.

Everyone started eating and the silence was killing me,someone say something so the sooner I leave.

"So iris,ivy how was your day of being grounded?".dad started talking.

"It's was okay,stayed at bed late and iris went shopping".ivy said venomously.

Now it's was iris turn to roll her eyes.

"Is that true?".dad said looking serious.

"Am sorry,I just wanted clothes what the big deal?".

"You are grounded,that a big deal,you could have one of the maids to get you clothes,you have one more week to your punishment". Dad ordered.

"Yes dad,see this is what am forced to live with". Ivy said referring to Garcia.

"Oh no,you are what am forced to live with". Ivy snapped.

Twins fight,well is something you see every day at family dinner like this.

"You two cut it out,don't make our guest uncomfortable". Mum snapped making the twins stop which is what you don't see every day.

"Girls, behave, or do you want to ruin family dinner?",dad asked.

"Good question,why is she here,this is a family dinner why the hell is she here?". I asked harshly.

"Am glad you asked,well she is my business partner daughter,she is hard working and perfect lady".dad goes on and on making Garcia blush.

"Is that why she is here because you like her". I replied sharply.

"No,we brought her for you,your wife". Dad replied.

"Do I look like a desperate child looking for candy".I asked sharply.

"Sandy,you need her".dad started.

"I think I don't,am perfectly fine,I don't need a wife to ruin my life they are distraction and nothing else". I snapped standing up.

"They are not,look at your mother,she is not a distraction".

"How we will know,if she is like ma". I said pointing to Garcia.

"You crossed the line dad,you just proof to me that I cant do anything that I am worthless,it is my decision and I don't want a wife now or never". I yelled.

Everyone was quiet,dinner is ruined but they need to know I am not interested in this.

"Who told you I brought her,your mother did".dad replied coldly.

A sharp gasp escape my lips mother he knows well what made her change her mind now dad must have done something.

I was dumbfounded.dad snickered he knows I can't disobey ma.

"Yes,I did".mum said reassuring me this is not a dream.

"Cat got your tongue. Dad teased.

"I realized that you are being a child you have to grow up and start a family,for crying out loud sandy you are twenty nine,you need your own family, yes I bought Garcia she is okay i like her,your father like her and the twins to do,and I have to say you have no choice". Mum said and she was right I have no choice,i turned to meet Garcia.

"Are you sure you wanna do this,if you and I get married,you will have to recieve harsh treatment from me your husband and cold meal everday and unread messages with missed calls overnight and later divorce after two months of marriage".

Garcia eyes widened.

"Should I go on?. I offered.

"Sandy,stop!." mum yelled,I stopped."Twins,excuse us,she added.

"But we we don't want to".iris said with puppy eyes.

"GET OUT!".she yelled,the twins scrambled out,Garcia got up.

"I should get going,it's lovely having this.....nice evening". Garcia said reaching for her purse.

"we are sorry for the disturbance,sit". Dad suggested.

Garcia couldn't stay,I knew it.

"Look,let me clear your doubts,an not ready for any relationship with your son,I have someone in mind and mr sandy doesn't approve this and no woman want a loveless relationship ,once again am sorry I should have told you sooner,sorry for the misunderstanding".

I calmed down, the look on their face was priceless,they looked defeated.

"Good night,mr and mrs mazano and sandy".Garcia said politely, I nodded,Garcia left,my parents sighs.

"Thanks for the evening ma,I will never forget this".I said,leaving.

"This is not over yet son". Dad shouted from behind.

"It is over cause this is the last family dinner I will attend".I replied dryly.

I left,I saw the twins at the corner of the dining room,ivy smiles giving me a thumbs up while iris frown hard,I ignored them,roared my car to life and dash through the highway.

Why will mother do this,not that am gay,am not interested,I have seen many amazing ladies but believe me nothing blossoms after a week and then work and ladies,that's why there are distractions,I am never going home again,ever.

Mother and father crossed the limits.
