If only Nohan's friends were like that. Nohan once had someone he called a friend, right before that someone showed him who he really was. Who in fact was not much different from Jay and his gang.
In fact, Nohan never really had a friend.
Nohan now chuckled remembering those horrible times, although they were not much more horrible than the present.
Besides friends, Nohan also felt he envied all the children who had parents. He envied that without people knowing, he envied how the relationship between children and parents was well established out there.
While Nohan?
Well of course Nohan even doubted his relationship with his mother.
His mother doesn't trust him, doesn't understand him. And yes Nohan again had to sacrifice himself, letting his youth be full of misfortune, and bitterness.
If only.
That word always accompanied Nohan even in his dreams.
If only my father was still around, if only my mother and father had not separated and if only my father had not died, if only my father had never touched that illicit thing, and caused him to get HIV. Nohan bowed his head.
Nohan didn't want to tell his problems to anyone, for him no one would believe or listen to his story.
He hated his life, even if God granted his wish today. Nohan would have prayed for his life to end soon, for his suffering to end too.
But Nohan never knew that God did not like His servant praying for his life to end soon. God is not happy about that.
Unfortunately Nohan did not know.
"Son! You didn't go back to your hospital room?"
Nohan paused, and looked back.
Finding a man he recognized, Nohan wordlessly got up from the park bench.
Nohan hurriedly left the park, and the person staring at his back felt strange.
"I don't want to talk to a two-faced person like him!" Nohan monologued as he walked quickly, also dragging the pole hanging her IV fluid bag in a hurry.
Nohan quickly entered his hospital room, he lay back down quietly.
"Are you okay, Nohan?" asked someone who suddenly walked into Nohan's ward.
Nohan couldn't believe it, it was Nasai.
Yes, Nasai had come to see him. Earlier in the park Nohan had told him how he wanted to be visited when he was sick, like his friends. But since he had no friends, of course no one would visit him.
And Nasai came to see him. Was Nasai really going to be his friend?
Nohan smiled broadly, the curve of his lips perfect and sincere.
"I'm fine, Nasai! Thank you for coming," Nohan smiled, looking at Nasai sitting in his wheelchair.
Nasai nodded his head, coming closer to Nohan.
"I have something for you, Nohan!" Nasai said, handing him a book with a black paper cover. It was quite thick.
Nohan was silent, not understanding what Nasai meant by giving him a book.
"For you! You said no one would listen to you tell stories, right?" Nasai explained, handing it to Nohan, "You can write in here, Nohan!" Nasai continued with a friendly smile.
Nohan unhesitatingly accepted the book, and gazed at it happily.
I finally have a friend... again. Nohan's mind was somewhat reminded of his past. But he quickly dismissed the past.
"Thank you! Thank you for being my friend, Nasai!" said Nohan with a huge smile.
"You're welcome, Nohan! Then I'll go back to my ward, thank you for being my friend," Nasai said smiling, and after saying goodbye to Nohan. He actually left Nohan's ward.
Now Nohan was alone again, but no longer with a sad or gloomy face.
Now Nohan's face was a little brighter, and his smile was still broad.
"What is this book?" monologued Nohan as he flipped through the black paper-bound book in him hands.
Nohan opened the first page, and it was blank. The second page, third page, and so on, which turned out to be true what Nasai said, that this book could be used by Nohan to write down his thoughts. The pages were all blank.
"So this is a diary, huh?" He asked herself, and smiled even wider.
Nohan wanted to write something down, but he didn't have a pen.
Or maybe Nohan could borrow it from the receptionist, or the nurse. Yes, it seems Nohan should borrow it, he wants to write down his happiness today in the diary, which Nasai gave him.
Nohan hurriedly got up from his lying position, he walked back while dragging his IV pole. It was a little inconvenient, but it was okay.
He walked away from his hospital room, just in case he met the nurse, Nohan would borrow a pen. If not, Nohan would probably go to the reception desk and borrow the pen there.
Nohan walked slowly through the hospital hallway, since he had been walking there was not a single nurse passing by. Yes, maybe Nohan should go to the reception desk.
And unfortunately the reception desk was also empty, there was no one but the computer that was on, Nohan could see the light of the computer screen from the side.
Nohan sighed, he had to get his pen. Otherwise he won't be able to sleep.
Nohan was silent, until he looked at the deserted street. And there was a stationery shop at the end.
There's no way there won't be pens in that shop, right? Well, unless they're out of stock, which is possible.
Nohan smiled widely, he would just go there. He will buy a pen at the shop across the street.
Don't worry, Nohan's mother has left two bills in case Nohan wants to buy something at the cafeteria for example.
Continued.
