CHAPTER 4

Finally I arrived at the big company, I stood in front of the gigantic building as my heart kept thumping in fear, luck please come my way.

I shut my eyes letting the breeze from the surrounding filled my nose, funny. I sighed before entering. Oh my gosh look at that,even though I woke up early the line is filled up, I try to find my way through the line.

A handsome man walked towards us with a list in his hand, though girls are already falling for him, I signalled him from head to toe.

Not my type, He's okay but not tall, I thought as he finally spoke.

"The list of secretaries that are good for the interview are only 5 here with me, while for other posts to the other end of the company" the man said, five out of many people for a secretary, will I be among these people. I doubt the man started to call names.

"Selena Jake, Michael smith, Anna Patrick, Sarah mike" my mind was thumping like f*ck, I was at dawn, I put my head down waiting for them to call the last person's name.

Will I be dismissed? I thought. Waiting to hear The last person name, I'm going to kill myself here!

"The last person on the list is Esmeray stone" he finally called my name, I jumped and shouted in joy without realising different gazes are fixed on me.

The interview was going on according to the list, so I need to prepare myself, I need to gain my confidence on how to confront them. I thought as the third person came out of the interview with a slight smile. I felt the ground should swallow me right now.

The fourth lady walked majestically and she matched my leg. "Ewww'' I groaned in pain but she ignored me. These kinds of people are heartless.

I thought, after some minutes she came out as she tore the paper of the chewing gum and threw it inside her mouth.

"Hey little girl," the lady who just hit without apologising stopped me from entering. I turned to look at her with a smirk on her face.

"I know you will need this" she blew a kiss before waving playfully at me.

"Weird" I raised my eyebrows before I entered the office feeling nervous. "Hello miss, can you tell us about yourself....

When they told me to introduce myself, I scanned the interviewer they're three in number, a lady and two men. My eyes landed on the handsome man. He looked at me with a smirk. Just then my phone rang and it was Chery,

" hello"

I replied, "go for it!" My two besties screamed through the phone, I don't just know as the confidence came. I start to introduce myself with courage.

They asked me how I can do my best as a secretary and an accountant. I give them details about my job of being an accountant and do my best in the post of a secretary.

Before I even start another word the interviewer applauded me. I was speechless.

"Thanks" I muttered beneath my breath. "You are the most brilliant lady and courageous one I've ever seen," the interviewer lady said.

I felt my head should bust right now, the other man complimented me, except for the handsome man again! His own was stuck underneath his teeth. I think he's speechless right now and a bit surprised...

"We will reply to you in a few days," the lady said with a smile.

"Good luck" the man also said, except for him again. I looked at him before I turned to the door.

"I think she's fit for the work" the last Among the interviewers uttered that makes my head felt like it was getting larger. I think she was talking to me, oh my Goodness.

My heart raced I don't know If it for good or bad

"Thank you thank you, I will wait for your feedback" I responded happily when I wasn't invited to their conversation.

They looked at me stunned, I ran out like a bird.

After the interview, the lady who blew a kiss drove back home.

She's Sarah nick a witch, they always call upon spirits for help and cast spells.

She also used dark magic to have what she needed, her face is in disguise form, it disgusts her, the witch always drinks human blood to replenish their skin.

"That girl is strange, bad luck is lurking around her, well I don't have any choice but to blew her luck spell"

Darkness moves all around them because they are messengers to the devil, Deliana, who was Marcus' mate that betrayed the alpha, wants the witch to help her cast spells on the alpha so that she can have him again

. She wanted to control him as Marcus' father was spelled by a witch.

After taking the contents of a blue bottle and emptied it, Sarah's face turned to disgust again.

"Sarah, your mission must be completed before the night hunt of the packs"

Her hand brought out blue flames, she filled it into a small bottle and closed it.

"They will never find out or smell the blood of a dark witch In me". Something flashes into her head as she remembers the girl from the interview who has witch blood.

After Mack checked the 5 Candidates for the post of Secretary, three removed from the list it was now two on his list. He submitted it to Mr Marcus without telling him one was a witch though she's not a full witch just half human and half witch.

After going through the list of the two Ladies he finally chose Esmeray as his secretary without hesitation. "Message both of them,esmeray as my secretary while the other is my accountant.

ESMERAY

After working at my aunty's store for the whole day, I lied tiredly on the bed, suddenly I felt cold and was shivering like damn, I wrapped the bed sheet on my body.

Immediately the chair that was far from me was beside me with pen on it, fear engulfed me, the pen start writing on the book but I didn't see anyone writing,

I was frightened that shifting away from the chair was the only thing I could do at that moment, a strong force pushed me towards the chair.

The note was now placed on the bed saying

that:"my princess, its mother, am sorry for leaving you all alone to suffer but I'm sorry because I need to do it.

You need to know that you are not an ordinary human, we are different from human kind. and you must be careful there's battle" the letter stated.

I was confused, she's my mum, I am not an ordinary girl. All this is confusing.

"You must be confused, I Know you will understand sooner or later, but you need to be strong," the letter wrote and immediately it vanished.

"Mum don't go" I said, tears streamed down my face.

"I need to because it's dangerous" someone finally speaks, the voice looks familiar, I tried to remember but my head was spinning and Hurting me.

I slump on the bed, fell asleep. After some hours a notification popped on my screen, I rolled on the bed as my hand reached my phone.

"You are hired as a secretary to the TT group and we hope to see the best you can offer,start your work tomorrow" the message said as I read through my phone, the joy I felt right now is unpredictable, I dialled Chery's number it was switched off, same as haya busy line. Who will I share the joy with?

"Wait I just have a nightmare moment ago"

The next day, I got dressed and prepared for work. I didn't want to see my aunt's wicked and angry face, so I took my bag and rushed outside to look for a cab.

Thankfully I was able to get one without stress. After paying the cab I came down, workers are walking faster, I was confused, it's still early, moreover they aren't late. A lady was beside me. I decided to ask her.

"Why are they running, when it's still early?" I asked, and the lady smiled at me.

"You are a newbie right?" she asked, I nodded. She shook her head in pity "you will be fired if the boss gets to the office before you" she said, when I heard that I didn't wait for another second when I took my heel.

~Meanwhile Marcus was also walking towards her direction, she missed her step and slip, she was about to fall down but was held by Marcus on her waist they both landed on the floor.~

His hand was still on my waist, I was lost peeking at his face, he's handsome with bright eyes and sparkling eyes, not knowing my hand was placed on his broad chest. He glanced at my hands, before pushing me away, he stood up and dust his suit.

He has this facial expression that can terrify someone. I thought handsome men don't have this cold face, so I glanced at him angrily, before walking away.

I don't even know the CEO office. After walking around the company without destination, the company is very big and delicate. I wasn't looking forward, being lost in the art of the CEO on the wall. My hand hit someone, his coffee shattered on the floor.

"not again" I muttered.

I apologised, he smiled at me.

"You're new here?" He asked, and I nodded my head.

"Then what department are you in? '' he asked.

"Accountant" I replied.

" oh Wow, I'm Drake, also an accountant. Nice meeting you. '' He said, stretching his hand forward for a handshake, and I did the same.

"Esmeray"

"Come let me show you the way, '' he said. "Can you lead me to the CEO office?" I said, "yes sure!" He said.

"Thanks," I said

As he led me to his office, he smiled.

"Good luck" he winked.

"G..what?"

"Good luck, Esme"

"Oh yeah Good luck " I nodded and wished it happened.

"Thanks Drake," he nodded, walking off.

it's a very big office

I opened the door to the CEO's office and walked in.

"Can't you knock?" someone saying a deep voice, which made me shriek,his back towards me

"Am your new Secretary sir" I explained . "Go and knock!" He said. I walk back reluctantly and knock. "Come in," he said. His face was now facing me. "You again...!" We both said in unison.
