Chapter 5 The dagger king

Looking at her, Mo Lan didn't get any answer. So she asked her,

"Then how did I come here now?"

Aine explained to her, "This dragon-phoenix jade needs blood to open. When you got injured, your blood reached the jade and opened this space for you. You can enter this space when you want and can keep what you want to keep here. I will help you to learn many things. You don't know how knowledgeable I am. Here is a five-floor pavilion. There are different kinds of books. When you get stronger, this Island will be upgraded."

She said while showing a big five-floor pavilion to Mo Lan.

"Here is a qi pond. Although it is small now. But when this Island is upgraded this pond will get bigger. Now go to the pond and get down there."

They went in front of the pond while Aine was introducing her to everything.

Lan hesitated to get down. But, Aine pushed her inside the pond. Lan shouts at Aine.

She said to her, "What are you doing?"

Aine looked at her with a laughing face and said, "You felt anything? You idiot. You don't know, how precious this pond is. I know you felt something even if you don't say it."

Lan told Aine, "I am not a fool or idiot. I have a name."

Aine said to her, "You didn't tell me your name."

Lan told Aine, "You didn't ask my name."

Aine said to her, "You don't know basic manners. Say what's your name?"

Lan told her, "My name is Mo Lan. My grandfather calls me Lan."

Aine asked her, "Then can I call you Lan?"

Lan said, "Yes, you can. You are my friends then, I will call you Aine."

Aine happily said to her, "Yes, yes. I am your friend from now on. You will listen to me all right. I will teach you all the things about this spiritual world."

She had been here for many years and now she got to know someone who could talk with her. How can she live in a boring situation like before? Now she can finally talk with someone she won't lose this only chance. So she nodded her head vigorously.

She awkwardly told Aine, "Ah, I didn't do anything bad. If you teach me anything bad, I won't talk with you. I don't like to be deceived."

Suddenly, Lan feels her body get stronger than before. She looked around her, and one kind of golden light glowed up. Seeing that Aine was surprised. Aine talked with her mind, "Her body is really special. I didn't see that in anyone in my life."

Aine said to Lan, "Lan, your body has golden qi. Come to me, I will examine your body. I want to see if you have a true qi body."

Lan asked Aine, "What is true qi body?"

Aine told her, "Actually, who has a true qi body she or he holds more power than an average cultivator. In the future, if you have true qi in your body, you will become stronger faster than anyone. Come to the Dragon-Phoenix pavilion with me."

She asked Aine, "Where is the dragon-phoenix pavilion?"

Lan again asked Aine, "Is this Dragon-Phoenix Island's all things name is Dragon-phoenix?"

Those two had two pavilions called the Dragon Pavilion and the Phoenix Pavilion. When the Dragon-Phoenix island is made of two jade, then two pavilions become one. So two pavilion's names become the dragon-phoenix pavilion. Ordinary people can't get this jade easily. If they get this jade, they can't use this jade. Only can fancy this jade. If you want to use this jade you need to meet these jade's requirements."

Lan said, "I understand. Thank you. But what are the requirements?"

"How could I know?"

Aine said.

"Didn't you say, you know everything?"

Lan replied.

Lan talked in her mind, "But how can I have this Dragon-Phoenix jade space? This Mo Lan's identity is really special. She stayed on Dragon Phoenix Island for one month. Now she wants to practice with a wild animal. She went to Aine and asked her how she left there.

Lan said "Aine, it's been one month since I am staying here. I want to go out now."

Aine replied, "Lan, this island time and outside time are a little different. So, here one month, there will be two days."

Lan said in surprise, "Only two days. I was anxious I did not have time to get experience to fight in reality."

Aine told her, "Lan, you can stay here for some more days. Outside is dangerous for you."

Then she entered the deep forest and practiced fighting for fifty days. She is happy now. She can fight with the first-rank spirit beast. But, she didn't kill any spirit beasts. She wants to practice with them. When they tired she told them to go and they went from there.

She whispered, "I practiced with the first-rank spirit beast for fifteen days. Now I am a low-level fifth-rank qi realm. I am stronger than before. Now I can fight with second-rank spirit beasts. I will go home now. I miss Grandpa and his cooking. Home is best if someone waiting for you."

Mo Lan stopped the fight. Suddenly she saw a five-rank spirit beast coming toward her. She was frightened to see it had the killing intent. The spirit beasts want to kill her. It attacked her from the right side. Mo Lan moved away a little and took a few steps back. But the beasts didn't stop attacking her. So Mo Lan didn't have any choice but to fight with the beasts. She fights with the beast for a while and runs away from there. She went into the deeper forest. The beast chases after her. Suddenly she saw in front of her a big rock. Mo Lan wants to hide on the other side of the rock.

When she went to the other side of the rock, accidentally she went inside a barrier. She didn't know there was a barrier. When she entered the barrier unknowingly, she saw a bamboo cottage.

She said to herself, "Do people live here?"

She looked at the back whether that beast was coming after her. When she saw that beasts were not coming for her. Now, she feels relieved. She was curious to see how a bamboo cottage existed in this deep forest. Who lives here?

She was walking towards in front of the cottage and asked, "Anybody here?"

Lan doesn't get any response. She was tired and wanted to rest for a while.

She said with a fearful look, "I was alone when I was at sea. I was alone in this deep forest for fifteen days. How can I be afraid now? I need to stay strong. Gentlewomen don't fear anything."

Saying this, she entered the bamboo cottage. When she entered the bamboo cottage, she was surprised. She saw there was a man who was lying in a leaf bed. He was handsome. But his whole body was full of daggers. When she saw his face, she forgot for a while she was inside a cottage. She felt he was someone she had known for many years. She feels sad for him.

"Why do I feel he is someone very important to me? Why do I feel my heart is hurting seeing him like this? I don't know him. But I feel sad for him. It feels like I don't want to go anywhere from him. This is the first time in my life I felt like this. I don't know anything but what in the world happened to him. His whole body is full of daggers. How is he living this whole time? Here isn't anyone to look after him."

Mo Lan said while looking around the little cottage. There is truly nothing in this little hut.

Suddenly someone talked next to her, "Who are you? What are you doing here? How can you enter this place without permission?"
