Chapter 4 Meetings

Alina awoke with perspiration soaking her forehead and body. Her head turned to the left and right before she sighed in relief, realizing it was just a nightmare that meant nothing and wouldn't be real. Besides, vampires can't get into dreams, can they?

She wiped the sweat from his forehead with her sleeve, then stared at the air conditioner at 17 C.

The nightmares in her sleep have made her sweat, so the air conditioner can't correctly cool her body temperature. At least the room feels so cool, and her sweaty body can return to its original temperature.

Alina's hand extended to reach for the bag she had previously placed on the nightstand. It took out the phone inside her bag, intending to check whether Danielle had sent her a message. Alina took a breath when she saw the notification of missed calls from her best friend ten times. Her best friend can't wait to go around the resort and see all the facilities there.

Alina touched her number, intending to return Danielle's call and ensure that the woman did not decide to go alone and leave her. But not having time to connect her call, she heard her bedroom doorbell ring. Alina grunted slowly, turned off the phone, and walked toward the door.

When Alina opens the door, the first thing that welcomes her is Danielle's sour face, and the second is a paper bag carried by her best friend with the restaurant emblem on it. Immediately, Alina's stomach rang when she knew there was food in front of her eyes, and she looked at Danielle with a big snarl. "Oops. I'm sorry I overslept."

Danielle turned her eyeball into a peck and gave Alina the food she had brought before entering the room. She sat down on a set of sofas and looked at Alina with a vexed look and a flat expression.

"You know how bored I am in a room alone, waiting for you? The phone is not answered, and the message is not answered; lucky you are my best friend, otherwise I will leave you alone," Danielle explained sharply.

Alina scratched her head, which was not itchy while smiling shyly. Then she sat on the floor on a carpet, took out all the food in the paper bag, and opened the food cover. Suddenly, the appetizing aroma of food burst throughout the room.

Alina's stomach is ringing again, and if it were in anime, the salivary gland would have trickled out. "I'm sorry. I can't stand the soft and so comfortable bed," she said while taking one of the food menus and eating utensils before eating them well.

Danielle also did the same thing, replying, "I know. I'm kind enough to bring you food because I'm sure you're starving."

"You're the best, Dani!" complimented Alina eagerly.

Danielle grunted softly and remarked, "You're only gonna say that because I gave you food, aren't you?"

Alina just gave him a big moan. "After we eat, I want to go around. Do you understand?"

"Okay!" replied Alina enthusiastically.

A black car with a dark window stopped in front of Justin. The vehicle was accompanied by several other vehicles on the front and back, tasked with escorting the car that stopped right in front of it. Justin squinted when he saw the Vampire emblem on a small flag attached to the hood.

In his heart, he gave them hateful words. His hands were folded over his chest, and his body gave him an entire intimidation posture. If the bloodsuckers had not been as swift as the wind, they had already been exterminated by werewolves - their kind.

Slowly, the car doors opened one by one, and his eyes narrowed sharply as the man descended, a vampire who had power over this world. If he's an Emperor, the supreme ruler of the Vympre empire, then Justin is an Alpha. Although they look much different, they share the same position today.

Justin's wondering why the damn Vampire Emperor came into his territory. Doesn't he have any more important agenda than to disturb his Pack's calm and the city he's protecting?

Justin held back the grunts already at the end of his throat. Allan, the soul of his wolf, could not remain silent and constantly walked around in his mind with golden eyes full of desire to attack.

"Calm down, Allan, we can't harm the people and fight them. Besides, we signed a peace deal. You know that." He told the wolf's soul, which kept growling and spreading its sharp fangs to the vampire standing before him.

"Alpha Justin."

"Your Highness, Emperor Killian."

Emperor Killian was watching the people behind Justin's back for a moment. If all bow and bow their heads as a sign of submission and obedience, Justin and his Beta and Gamma choose to uphold their bodies and not bow their heads in the least.

Luckily, Justin heard the news of the vampires' arrival a few days before the official letter arrived on his desk so he could anticipate their arrival and evacuate the human girls to a safer place.

He consulted Danielle, who suggested sending them to various places. Justin believes Emperor Killian's arrival in his Pack territory was due to wanting to take the girls away and enslave them to vampires. As long as the Silvermoon Pack is protective, Justin won't let that happen. Danielle asked Alina to go to Loveland Resort for a few days so that maybe this bloodsucking man in front of her and his minions would not see Alina.

"I think today you're alone without your soulmate, Danielle."

Justin clenched his hands firmly. "Of course. She's researching her assignment and has to go to other areas."

"Is that so?" Emperor Killian said quietly. Justin doesn't care if he wants to believe his alibi as long as Alina and the other girls survive the vampires' clutches.

"I see, this city doesn't have what I want."

Justin glimpses behind his back, noticing the neatly lined townspeople behind him. "That's too bad, isn't it?"

The corner of Emperor Killian's lips lifted to a slanted smile, and then he said sharply, "Where did you hide them? You know, I don't want to break our contract agreement, Alpha Justin."

Justin shrugged and replied, "As you can see, the city's population is dominated by the elderly. Some young people choose to leave the city and live in other cities. "

"Is that so? That means you have to give me your soulmate, doesn't it? He's a human being." Justin clenched his hands firmly on the sides of his body when he heard that sentence coming out of the mouth of the fucking Emperor.

It's like Justin's dying to crash and kill him right now. If Lilith hadn't gotten in the way, Justin would've taken out this arrogant guy. "And you will be punished for breaking the law."

"Is that so?" Emperor Killian stood still momentarily, then continued, "You don't make me a banquet like the other pack, Alpha Justin?"

Justin smiled sourly and replied, "Why would I do that? You don't have any reason to be here any longer, do you?"

"You right?" Justin watched the man duck down and noticed the watch around his right wrist before returning and looking at Justin with the same gaze he had had since Justin stood before him.

"Looks like I've got to get going." Then he turned around and walked towards the car, but only a few steps did he walk, and then without looking back at Justin, he muttered, "You think I can be fooled, Alpha Justin?"

Then he spoke to the man who had been loyal to the Emperor, the right-hand man of the man, Lord Laurent. "Laurent, you know what to do."

"Yes, Your Highness." After that, Emperor Killian walked back and entered the car.

Justin only stood still, full of tension, when he saw not all the cars leave. Part of Emperor Killian's army, led by Lord Laurent, stood with a flat expression while stretching out their sharp fangs. Justin ordered Beta Maximus, who stood on his right side through the mind-link, to "Prepare the warriors and evacuate everyone to a safe place."

Justin overheard Lord Laurent chattering slowly, saying, "Alpha Justin, I want you to cooperate with us."

Justin just stared at Laurent with a sharp look. If Emperor Killian looks at him with his blue beads so cold and empty, Lord Laurent looks at him with his dark beads full of amused glances.

It was like Justin and his Pack were fun entertainment for the fucking Emperor. "Oh, yeah?"

"Yes, give us the human girls or we will take the people of your city by force. You know, those humans deserve to be in our factory more than here, don't they?" Lord Laurent pulled the phone out of his suit pocket and showed Justin a picture of the phone screen.

"She's Danielle, isn't she? Your soulmate is so beautiful. She could be one of His Majesty's collections of women. The Red Palace has been underresident for the past few months." Justin's jaw hardened, and his teeth rattled each other to withstand the rage.

He knew one day those damn vampires would break the signed peace agreement, but he didn't realize it was this soon. Justin sighed slowly and relaxed his entire strained muscles. "Okay, if that's what you want. I will give all the girls to the Vympre empire," he said with a forced tone. They've all figured out his weakness, and he can't do anything if those vampires bring Danielle into this.

"Well done, Alpha Justin." Lord Laurent pulled his hand back and stuck the phone in his hand in his jacket pocket. "You have three days to do it, or else you'll lose it all."
