Chapter 4 No Turning Back

Later that night after Cindy showered, she put on a short, backless sundress, wearing only a pair of thong panties and no bra. Jack stood in the bathroom mirror, thinking about what he and Cindy were about to do, but he didn't feel bad about his thoughts. Although his relationship with Jill did cross his mind, Jack didn't regret his decision to be with Cindy. If Jill can move on, then he can too.

Jack lit some candles and incense, making it nice and cozy in the den. His parents were away on vacation and he left a message for his friend Chuck. Letting him know their plans to hang out at the pub were canceled. When Cindy pulled up in the driveway, she stepped out of the car holding a bottle of tequila and vodka as she walked to the door. And she also had a few smokes in her purse for them to light up while they relaxed. She greeted Jack with a kiss on the cheek when she walked in.

Jack could smell her perfume lingering in the air when she walked past him looking around the room. Cindy looked even more beautiful tonight with the pink flower in her hair and the sexy sundress she wore. Jack led her to the den, poured their drinks, then dimmed the lights, as they sat on pillows on the floor. While they talked, he touched her

neck and down her back, then brushed across her breast, down to her thighs, lightly touching between them. Cindy squeezed his hand with her thighs then kissed him. She stood up and twirled around several times. Jack laid back puffing, and watching her; he could see her thong panties and he enjoyed the view. She stopped twirling, straddled his lap, and ran her fingers through his hair. For a moment Jack thought about Jill, and he felt a little guilty being alone with Cindy.

Cindy closed her eyes and let Jack have his way, kissing her neck and groping her butt. He kissed her passionately and slid his hand in her dress, fondling her breasts, as she enjoyed the foreplay. She moaned, staring into his eyes, as she continued kissing him. Jack became more excited, even though he knew it would be a big mistake if Jill learned about it. They started undressing each other. Cindy wrapped her legs around Jack grabbing him and making him moan loudly. Jack gripped her hips as he pulled her closer,

and then he heard his cell phone ringing. Once again, he ignored the call, not wanting Cindy to stop, because he knew it was Jill. Jack was enjoying his moment of pleasure; he

enjoyed the high and the intoxication.

Cindy stood up, standing naked right before his eyes. Jack was throbbing and he was ready to make love to Cindy at that very moment. Then it happened, like wild animals in heat. After a few more drinks, they passed out on the floor naked. The next morning Jack was zoned out and he could hardly think. As he was chilling on the floor, Cindy crawled over to where he was lying and pleasured him again before she left to go home.

The rumors got around town about Jack's newfound love with Cindy Von. They continued to hang out, even in public places, because Jack was no longer concerned with Jill finding out about them. Jack didn't care what people said or what they thought. He blamed Jill for moving out of Thornsberry and leaving him alone. And he was beginning to like being with Cindy. When Jack's parents returned home from their vacation, he introduced them to her. Of course, they were surprised and confused because Jack had confessed undying love for Jill since she left Thornsberry. His parents never made it a habit of meddling in Jack's relationships and they weren't about to start now. They accepted whatever he told them he had with Cindy and what he no longer had with Jill.

Several weeks passed, and Jack couldn't help but think about his relationship with Jill. Although he had not formally broken up or ended their relationship, he was ready to face her now and didn't want to lie or hide his feelings for Cindy. Finally, Jill called back, and Jack answered the phone without hesitation. He was nervous but knew it was time to face the reality of Jill being with another man.

"Hello," said Jack emotionless.

"Hey, baby!" Jill said feeling excited. "I've been trying to call you for a few days, to let you know I'm on my way home to you. I have saved enough money to get us a place. Maybe we can rent a house in Thornsberry and we won't have to live with your parents."

Jack was bewildered and didn't know what to think or what to say about what Jill had said to him. He felt his heart drop like someone had turned off the lights and left him in the dark. He realized his assumption was wrong. But Jack had no regrets about his relationship with Cindy. He refused to break up with her, even if Jill came back. He thought it would be easy, but he wondered how he would explain his new relationship to Jill. They never broke up, he thought she was calling with bad news. How would Jill react, and how is she going to feel? Jack hated himself and wished none of it had happened at all. He avoided Jill's calls because he thought she was breaking up with him and not returning to Thornsberry.

After he hung up the phone, Jack called Cindy because they needed to talk before Jill returned. He had to tell her the truth about him and Jill. They drove down by the lake and took a long walk around the park. Jack explained to Cindy his relationship with Jill and what happened the day she left him behind in Thornsberry. And how depressed and heartbroken he was when he came over to meet her that day. Cindy was appalled and confused but refused to break up with Jack.

"We'll have to tell her the truth but you can't get back to her. I'm upset, but I'm not leaving you." insisted Cindy. "I don't want to lose you, Jack, because I love you."

"I love you too, babe," Jack assured her.

But Jack knew it wouldn't be easy and Jill was no fool. It may be a big mess, but he had to tell her the truth, no matter how angry Jill got. He wanted it to be over with soon, the anticipation of seeing her again was bittersweet and nerve-racking.

Within a week, Jill had returned home to Thornsberry to be with Jack. She was thrilled and excited to finally return home, thinking of all the time she had to be with Jack. Her parents were delighted to see Jill, but uncertain what would happen between her and Jack. They heard the rumors about his relationship with Cindy, but their only concern was how it would affect her.

Jill called Jack hoping she could meet him at his parents' house to talk to him. But there was no answer and Jill felt there was something wrong. Feeling confused but not wanting to get upset, Jill went to visit a few of her old friends. She was hoping she wouldn't regret moving back to Thornsberry. She called a few of her friends, asking them to help her find a job. She was hired part-time at the library and as a convenience store clerk. Her days were busy, and she barely had time to hang out with her friends, except at night. On weekends she worked extra hours, but Jill was still wondering if she should have returned home, plus she still had not heard from Jack.

It was a couple of days later when Jack returned Jill's calls. They agreed to meet for lunch, at the food court inside the mall, the next day. Jill looked very nice with her hair in a bun and a little makeup. Jack remembered past times when they had fun hanging out with each other. When Jack saw Jill, she smiled and ran into his arms for a hug. But his hug wasn't as snug or tight as it used to be. It was weak as if he didn't want to embrace her. Jill felt weird, then she stepped back and took another long look at Jack. He seemed different, rather cold-hearted and distant, not lovingly like he always made her feel before.
