Propose

Oliver's POV

After few days, the city was painted with out love. We stood outside of a quaint little café. This was the first time we had seen each other since that fateful day when Sophia had revealed the truth about our son. Despite the uncertainty and pain that had filled our hearts, there was also a glimmer of hope shining through, a sense of possibility for something new.

"I can't believe we're finally going to meet our son," Sophia said, her voice filled with excitement and nervousness.

I squeezed her hand reassuringly, my heart full of anticipation and a touch of anxiety.

"I know. It's been a long time coming, but I'm ready to face this together, as a family," I replied.

Sophia looked up at me, her eyes shining with gratitude.

"Thank you, Oliver. For being willing to give us a second chance, to be the father our son deserves," she said.

I felt a surge of emotion wash over me at her words, a mix of regret for the time lost and determination to make things right.

"I want to be there for him, to be the father I never had a chance to be," I admitted, my voice soft but sincere.

As we entered the café, we were greeted by the sound of laughter and chatter, the warm and inviting atmosphere wrapping around us like a comforting embrace. We made our way to a secluded table in the corner, where a small boy sat, my dark hair tousled and my eyes bright with curiosity.

"Lucas, this is your father, Oliver," Sophia said, her voice filled with pride as she introduced us.

I felt a lump form in my throat at the sight of my son, a child who shared my features and Sophia's warmth and kindness. I knelt down in front of the boy, my heart pounding in my chest.

"Hi, Lucas.

I'm your dad," I said.

Lucas looked up at him, my eyes wide with wonder.

"Daddy?" He asked, his mouth wide open with full of surprise.

I felt tears pricking at the corners of I eyes as I reached out a hand to ruffle Lucas's hair.

"Yes, buddy. I'm your daddy," I replied, my voice filled with emotion.

Lucas's face broke out into a wide smile, his little arms wrapping around me in a tight hug.

"I love you, Daddy," he said.

I felt tears streaming down my cheeks as I held my son close, a sense of overwhelming love washing over me. I had never imagined that I could feel such a deep connection to someone I had only just met, but in that moment, I knew that Lucas was a piece of my heart, a part of my soul.

Sophia's eyes filled with tears of joy as she watched the tender moment between father and son.

"I never thought I would see this day, Oliver.

To see you with our son, to see the love and bond growing between you two," she said, with emotions.

I looked up at her, my heart full of joy.

"Thank you, Sophia. For giving me a chance to be a part of Lucas's life, for trusting me to be the father he deserves."

Sophia reached her hands to touch my cheek, her eyes locked on mine.

"We may have a lot of challenges ahead of us, my love. But I believe that we can face them together, as a one united family," she said.

As we sat at the table, surrounded by the sounds of laughter and the scent of fresh-brewed coffee, I felt a sense of peace settle over me. I knew that our journey was just beginning, that there would be highs and lows, challenges and triumphs. But I also knew that we had each other, that we had love and forgiveness to guide them through the journey of future.

And as I looked at Sophia and Lucas, the two most important people in my life, I knew that this was where l belonged. This was my chance at a new being, a chance to heal the wounds of the past and build a future that filled with love, laughter, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.

I'm happy that I meet Lucas today, I also know that I was finally home that was surrounded by the love of my family. And as I took Sophia's hand in mine and watched Lucas's eyes sparkle with joy..

"Could this be the beginning of our happiness ever after all?"
