Chapter 4 4

Pregnancy/Secret Son

Sophia's POV

So many months passed, the secret was shattered my face when I discovered that I was pregnant with Oliver's child. Fearful of his reaction and the implications of their contract, I have to keep the news hidden from Oliver, unsure of how he would react.

I have to hide myself with the pregnancy, and after I gave birth for three years. Oliver looked for for everywhere he could, because he discovered that something was happening to me which I kept away from him.

I later have to came back, so that Oliver would know the truth. And when I eventually learned the that without me by his side, he would torn between his duty to his business empire and his growing affection for me.

I came back to see him and to tell him about his secret child. Oliver deserve to know everything, I can't keep hidding from his watch.

Few hours after my arrival from my self exile, I met Oliver sitting in one of his luxurious office, staring blankly at his computer screen in front of him. His mind was in turmoil, his thoughts consumed by the bombshell I had dropped on him. He couldn't believe that he will miss me for so long, I decided to startle him.

Surprised! Surprised!! Surprised!!!

Oliver was very happy to see me back, he hugged me so tightly.

"Why have you decided to punish me like this Sophia?

"Why do run away from me, or hide somewhere I don't know? Oliver asked.

It was a long story. After that one night stand at the party, I discovered that I was with a child. I don't know how to tell you, how devastated you could be knowing that we are on contract agreement. I have to hide this child from you, but I know you will be sad not to see me again after everything.

I'm so sorry, Oliver. I have a child named Lucas, your child.

Oliver was still in shock with the news of Lucas, his secret child. A child he never even knew existed until now.

Oliver didn't show his happiness or angry towards me for hidding Lucas from him for years. He went to his office with heavy heat, still in deep thought, the sound of a knock on his office door broke him out of his reverie.

"Come in," he called out, his voice gruff.

The door swung open to reveal his personal assistant, Emily, standing in the doorway.

"Boss, someone is here to see you," she announced, her voice hesitant.

Mr. Oliver frowned, wondering who could possibly be seeking him out at this hour.

"Who is it?" he asked, his curiosity peaked.

Emily hesitated before speaking.

"It's Sophia," she replied.

Oliver felt a surge of conflicting emotions at the mention of my name. Part of him wanted to see me, to demand answers to the questions that had been plaguing him all day. But another part of him wanted to push me away, to protect himself from the pain and confusion I had brought into his life.

"Send her in," he said finally, his voice resigned.

Moments later, I walked into his office, my presence filling the room with an air of tension. I look as beautiful as ever, my dark hair was in waves down my back. But there was a sadness in my eyes, a vulnerability that tugged at Oliver's heart.

"What are you doing here, Sophia?"

Oliver asked, his voice betraying none of the turmoil raging inside of him.

I took a deep breath, steeling myself for what I was about to reveal.

"I came to talk to you about our son, Oliver," I said, my voice steady with emotions.

Oliver felt a jolt of surprise at my words. He had been so consumed by his own thoughts and feelings that he had forgotten about the little boy who had turned his world upside down.

"Our son?" he repeated, his voice barely above a whisper.

I nodded, tears welling up in my eyes.

"Yes, Oliver.

I never meant to keep him from you, but things were complicated back then. I couldn't bear to tell you the truth about our son, to burden you with the responsibility of fatherhood," I explained, my heart filled with regret.

Oliver felt a surge of anger and hurt rise up inside him.

"You had no right to keep him from me, Sophia. He is my son as much as he is yours," he spat, his words filled with bitterness.

I took a step closer to him, reaching out a hand to touch his arm.

"I know I made a mistake, Oliver. I was scared and confused, and I didn't know how to tell you about our son without causing more pain and heartache," I admitted, my voice pleading for understanding.

Oliver looked down at my hand on his arm, feeling a rush of conflicting emotions. Part of him wanted to push me away, to distance himself from the pain I had caused him. But another part of him longed to pull me closer.

"Why now, Sophia? Why did you wait all these years to tell me about our son?" He demanded, but his voice filled with frustration.

I took a deep breath, my eyes locked on his. "I never stopped loving you, Oliver. And when I found out about our son, I didn't know how to tell you without risking our fragile relationship. But now that he's older, he deserves to know the truth about his father, about the man who has been absent from his life all these years," I explained, with my voice soft but filled with conviction.

Oliver felt a wave of guilt wash over him at my pleadings. He had never stopped loving me even know it's a contract, despite the pain we had both endured. And now, faced with the reality of our son, he knew that he had a chance to make things right, to be the father he had always longed to be.

"I want to meet him, Sophia. I want to be a part of his life, to make up for all the lost time," Oliver said.

My eyes filled with tears of relief, a small smile tugging at the corners of my lips.

"Thank you, Oliver. Our son will be so happy to finally meet his father, to have you in his life," I said.

As we stood there, facing each other in the dim light of his office, Oliver knew that a new chapter was building in our lives. A chapter that was not in the contract, a chapter filled with hope, forgiveness, and the promise of a brighter future for our son.

And as he reached out a hand to touch my cheek, brushing away a stray tear, he knew that we had a second chance. A chance to heal the wounds of the past and build a future together, as a family.

And as we stood there, lost in each other's eyes, Oliver understands that our love would be the cornerstone of our new beginning, guiding us through the trials of parenthood. And with me by his side, he is ready to face whatever the future hold.

"Will our son be the light that guided our way?"
