Chapter 4:Secret Wedding

The sky was serene with hues of blue and a wispy glint of golden light, penetrating through the horizon.

Romero Remigton and Annabella Whales stood before the altar to take their wedding vows.

The people at the church congregation were few in number and all members of the secret organization ARGSON, a powerful organization that originates from Britain to drain people's wealth from them, leaving the penny less.

ARGSON is the ultimate ruler of the world's fame. They seek elites, suck them from fame, and leave them dry or dead.

While standing at the altar, Romero and Annabella took their wedding vows, exchanged their wedding rings, and shared a kiss.

Shortly after the wedding came to an end, Ingrid hooked a smile on her face, walking up to Romero who was with his younger brother, Andro, and his uncle, Edwin Salverto.

No one could define the relationship between Ingrid Michaelson, the young beautiful British-American, and Romero Remighton, the rich billionaire who ran Stanford Hospital.

" Congratulations doctor Romero on your wedding!" She said with a smirk on her face.

" Thank you, Ingrid" he replied facetiously without looking at her. She was some distraction to him.

Without being intimidated, Ingrid gave a smug smile before narrowing her eyes to the direction of Romero's eyeballs. They all fixed in admiration of Annabella.

" I see you admire her so much. She is beautiful indeed" Ingrid scoffed, referring to Annabella. She hated Annabella or something like that. l

"Yeah, she is my wife now, Ingrid so,

you just back out from my private life" He snapped laconically and stomped to where Annabella and Havan Parker, her best friend were.

" Anna, Your husband is coming in our direction" Havan called the attention of her friend to Romero.

Annabella turned backward and saw Romero walking towards her looking as captivating as before.

" I will have to divorce him after one year, bestie. I don't want this marriage " Annabella frowned.

" Anna! What are you saying? Divorce? why?" Havan retorted but suddenly kept mute when Romero drew near.

Upon getting close to Annabella, Romero took her hand, looking deep into her eyes.

Romero knew from the looks in Annabella's eyes that she wasn't interested in the marriage, he was head-over-heels for her even though he had his mission and she was his prey.

" Anna, let's leave now. Our uncles are waiting for us" His baritone struck.

Annabella hugged Haven, her best friend before leaving with Romero.

As Romero and Annabella emerged from the sacred sanctuary, they arrived at a magnificent PENTHOUSE which was given to them as a wedding gift by Logan Montego.

Logan also promised to get Annabella a good job as an assistant surgeon in a big hospital.

When they arrived at the opulent building alone, Romero moved all their luggage inside while Annabella took a stroll around the mansion admiring and mastering her way around every corner.

Her second marriage was not going to be different from the first.

The only difference is that she would be working in the hospital while still managing her father's company instead of being a housewife.

Now that Annabella's wealth was exposed, she was going to make Louis regret ever divorcing.

After viewing the house, Annabell walked back to the living room and glanced at her with a sweet smile on his face.

" Gosh," Annabella huffed. She hated it when he had to look at her that way.

" You like the place I guess, '' Romero's baritone struck

" Yeah, it's peaceful here. My kind of space " She replied coldly, narrowing her eyes around.

Romero took some steps in proximity to where Annabella stood. They stood so close that the breath of their nostrils could be felt.

" Can we talk for a while?" He asked with a blazing voice that seemed desirous of her.

He could feel the force of the visible impenetrable barrier between them and his heart longed for a closeness from Annabella.

" What is it you want to talk about ?" Annabella let out. She lost her thick long black hair and the strand covered her face.

Annabella sat in the distance from Romero, so he shifted to her and locked hands with her. She tried to pull her hands off him but he gripped her firmly.

" Honey" He called in his baritone and Annabella raised her gaze to him.

" We are getting divorced after one year, Romero. Please don't fall in love with me and please don't mind whatever I do. I will always remain in my walls and I want you to do the same l " She interrupted with a stern voice, taking her hands off Romero's.

A smile escaped Romero's face. He glanced at Annabella after she made her decision to divorce him. He was not expecting much from her.

Her decision was firm and he could see its eyes.

But he, Romero, was not ready to grant her that desire. He was not like Louis, her ex-husband.

" I know you don't want this marriage, Anna, and I am very sorry about that but" he stopped like he was trying to process something.

Suspens flushed the air as Romero paused in his speech.

Why? Isn't he going to grant her wish?

A certain sensation ran through Annabella's spin as she kept gazing deep into Romero's captivating eyes. They were sloe-shaped and could confuse one to hell.

" Anna," he called. " I didn't agree to this marriage because It was arranged or because I want to use you. But I truly love you and want this marriage to work out. I am not forcing you to love me but I'm sorry to tell you this, I can not accept your decision" He glared at her. She was shocked as hell.

The long shocking gaze Annabella gave Romero made him fall more deeply for her.

She was struggling to still believe that she couldn't grant her the one very thing she desired. Divorce.

" Look, Romero, I can't do this–"

" Shh,'' He ran his slim fingers on her lips. Just as she least expected, Romero cleaved his lip to hers, kissing her.

Struggling with Romero, Annabella tried to pull off his grip but he had a stronger force, making her vulnerable at his hands like some frail kid.

Finally, she obliged.

Kissing Romero's lips made Annabella taste another version of love that she had never experienced. His lips were an elixir of life but she was not going to succumb to the dying feelings.

No, not now. She can't fall in love with Romero.

While they remained in each other's hands enjoying one long kiss, Annabella's phone rang and she suddenly pulled off Romero to grab her phone. She can't believe they just kissed.

Glancing at the caller from the phone, it was Louis Calvin, Annabella's ex-husband.
