Chapter 5 The visit

"Pay off?" Alejandro asked.

"I'm sure you heard me very well" Marie's dad said.

"What is your say?" Marie's mum asked and Alejandro took a deep breath.

"1 billion" he said in his mind. The money is enough to save his business and return back to the way it was before, the offer is tempting and he would be a fool to reject this offer, he has been working for this and now that a chance came for him to save his company, he have to accept this offer and he will just abide by the rule that said he will stay away from Marie.

"I accept the offer, I will stay away from your daughter" Alejandro said.

Marie's dad smiled.

"I don't want to see you anywhere near her, don't even try to greet her if you see her, no disturbance from you, I want you out of my daughter's life, I'm doing the transfer right now and here, if you don't keep to your part of the deal you will regret it" he said seriously.

"I will keep to my part of the deal" Alejandro said.

"Your account" Marie's dad said and Alejandro called out his account number.

Shortly he got an alert on his phone and the 1 billion was flexing in his account.

"Stay away from my daughter" Marie's mum said sternly as she started walking out with her husband.

Alejandro sighed, did he just do the right thing by accepting this offer, he doesn't even know how to feel right now.

He walked out of the building and headed back to his company.

He arrived at the company and went to his office, he met Thomas there, waiting for him.

"You are back" Thomas said and Alejandro nodded.

"I think I have gotten a solution which will raise the company up" Alejandro said and sat down.

"Really sir?" Thomas asked with smiles.

"Yes,so get everything ready, you need to work on this files" Alejandro said and pushed the files towards Thomas.

"Start now" Alejandro said.

"Yes boss" Thomas took the files and walked out.

Alejandro sighed out loudly.

His mind went back to Marie, how would she feel if she get to find out that he collected money from her parents to stay away from her.

"I think she will be happy about it since she doesn't want me in her life again" he muttered and took his laptop.

He needs something that will take his mind off everything and that's working.

He opened the laptop and started working on it, the money will help him save his company and that's what is mostly important now.

Marie came out of her in front of her parents mansion and closed the door harshly, judging by the expression on her face, she was so angry about something.

The guards in the company began greeting him but he didn't spare any of them a glance. She just walked into the mansion and met her parents in the sitting room.

"Marie" her father called.

"Are you okay?" her mother asked.

"Is it true?" Marie asked and her parents gave her a confusing look.

"What are you talking about?" her father asked.

"I got an information that you paid Alejandro or let's me say my ex husband to stay away from me, how could you do that?" Marie asked angrily.

"That's the best thing to do so that he will stop disturbing you, I think you still have feelings for him" her father said.

"Really?" Marie asked.

"You can't deny that Marie, if he's coming back to you he will rather be hurting your feelings, we don't want him to have anything to do with you, we are only protecting you" her mother said.

"I'm not against you protecting me but why would you pay him off, you shouldn't have done that, I feel so bad about it, I would have handle Alejandro myself, you guys didn't have to waste your money, damnit" Marie said.

"Calm down, that's the best thing to do and there is no regret about it, so just deal with it" her father said.

"How could you help a man that deeply hurt me so much dad, how could you?" She asked.

He hurts her so much and her parents still decided to help him despite everything he did to her.

"We still stand on our decision, he's not going to disturb you anymore" her father said.

"I don't even know what to say to you two, you even added to my pain helping the same man that betrayed me and cheated on me with my friend" Marie said angrily, without looking at her parents, she started walking out.

She came out and entered her car, driving out of the house with a pan frowned face.

She couldn't stop thinking about it.

Some days passed and Alejandro was able to save his business with the money he got from Marie's parents as a pay off.

Everything was stable now and his company was back to its root again but he still felt like he wasn't complete yet despite the deal he had with her parents he still felt like he should see her and apologize to her, he desperately want her her forgiveness. He felt a heavy burden on his heart. His company was back but he still felt he should visit her and talk out things with her, he wasn't sure if she was going to listen to her but he still has to try that.

Leaving his company in his car, he set his way to Marie's house, it was a long drive as it took him almost an hour to get to her house, he arrived at her house and luckily she was at home. Her car was parked in the company.

He knocked on the door and after a minute the door opened and Marie's face showed up.

A big frown appeared on her face immediately she saw him on her door.
