We heard she was recently involved in an accident." Ethan said this fully knowing he was trying to extract more information, to confirm if what they had learned from the old man was true.
The officer looked up, sensing the importance in his tone. "Can I see some identification, sir?"
"Of course," Ethan replied, handing over a forged document that established his relationship to Valentina. The officer glanced through it briefly before nodding.
"What information are you looking for?" the officer asked.
"I want to know the details of her condition, any specifics about the accident," Ethan replied, his voice steady and calm, masking his true intentions.
The officer typed something into his computer. "She's currently recovering at the hospital. A man named Aiden Reynolds, the owner of StarForge Productions, was involved in the accident.
He's been taking good care of her. It appears he has been very caring."
Elton nodded, absorbing the information. "Thank you, I appreciate your help. I'll head to the hospital now to be with her." He left.

Mr. Cloud's Mansion
Cloud was sipping some alcohol when his men returned. "You guys are back so soon," he said, giving them a dirty look.
"Yes, capo. The information was exactly the same," Ethan replied.
"Great, you have to go there now," Cloud ordered.
"Yes, boss," they responded and left rapidly, headed to the hospital.

**An Hour Later**
Arriving at the hospital, they were met with the familiar, sterile scent of disinfectant. They passed through the hallway with ease, their presence commanding attention. When they reached the front of Valentina's room, they were stopped by Aiden's men.
"We're sorry, but we can't allow you to get in," one of the men said.
"She's my sister. I have the right to see her," Ethan replied, masquerading.
"It's impossible to get in. Only Aiden can grant you access to the room," the other said, which caused some argument between them.
The noise outside caught Valentina's attention. She stood up from her bed to check what the noise was all about.
Immediately, she looked through the glass door. What she saw terrified her. She felt a shiver down her spine, frozen with fear.
Valentina had tears and quickly remembered who they were and why they were here. She could only hope that Aiden would return soon.
She pointed at Ethan in a state of panic. "Excuse me, are you okay?" nurse Elena asked gently, taking Valentina back to her bed.
"Please, can you call the doctor for me? It's very important. And also, please, they must not allow those men in," Valentina replied, her voice shaking as she trembled in fear.
"Okay, but calm down a bit. I will get him now," Elena replied as she hurried to the doctor's office.
"Dr. Norwell, the lady in the special room demanded to see you right now.
She looked so frightened, and she said she has something very important to discuss with you."
Dr. Norwell and Elena hurried back to Valentina's room. "You requested to see me?" Dr. Norwell said. By that time, Elton and the others had already left the hospital.
"Please, can you get through to Aiden? I need to talk to him," Valentina replied, and Dr. Norwell sensed the urgency in her voice.
"Okay, but you can also discuss anything with me," Dr. Norwell said, curiously, hoping she would open up to him.
"No, it's a matter of life and death," Valentina yelled. Dr. Norwell quickly brought out his mobile phone and dialed Aiden's number.

Back at Star Forge Productions
Aiden was seated in his office, ruffling his hair because a lot of things were going through his mind. After approving some documents, he rose from his chair several times but couldn't stop thinking about Valentina.
His phone buzzed as he was still thinking about her. He turned back to face his desk to pick up the call. "Yes, doctor, what's wrong again?" Aiden asked as he smirked.
Dr. Norwell explained the situation, and Aiden rushed out of the company immediately.
---
On getting there, Valentina was fast asleep. Aiden moved closer to her and patted her head. "Mom," Valentina muttered softly as she opened her eyes slowly, thinking it was her mom.
"Hope you're getting better now?" Aiden asked as she nodded swiftly, which made Aiden smile. "You wanted to discuss something with me," Aiden said again.
"Yes, I don't want to die. Please save me," she said sadly as tears rolled down her cheeks.
"You are not going to die as long as you are with me," Aiden replied, assuring her.
"You can't understand. William Cloud is my stepfather, and he is going to kill me for sure this time..." she explained.
"Wow, this is serious," Aiden said, realizing he had gotten himself into a jungle.
"Do you want to get married to me again, with my consent this time?" Valentina asked.
"Relax, so you want to be my bride," Aiden said.
Every gift has a price, just as every helping hand needs a reward, Valentina thought as she decided to sell herself off to the stranger. "I will be your bride," Valentina replied. After all, who could say no to a sexy gift, especially when it is being offered to you on a platter of gold.
"Shush... don't breathe out loud," he whispered beside her ear, his odd breath making the air around her neck raise. Aiden smiled. "Valentina thought that you wouldn't help, and I need something to excuse my heartache. It's a win-win, baby girl." He placed a gentle kiss on her jawline, making her shiver.
"This wasn't the plan," Valentina said.
"Even angels can change their plans and routes, so who said I can't be smart? Don't you worry, I will come up with something," Aiden assured her.
Aiden brought out the food she had refused to eat. He dug in and gave her a scoop. Valentina ate slowly, blushing as her cheeks turned red. It had been a long time since someone had cared so much about her. The door slowly opened.
"What are you looking for?" Aiden asked as the nurse came in. He removed the spoon slowly from Valentina's mouth.
"The doctor asked me to check if everything was okay," the nurse replied as she was about to leave. She smiled, which made Valentina feel shy.
"Okay," Aiden replied as he turned to face Valentina.
He pointed to her cheeks; she was blushing. He couldn't hold back his laugh and laughed sarcastically.
