Chapter 8 Stop Forcing Your Way

Selene stood in front of Roy's office building, clutching the bouquet of flowers he had sent her. She took a deep breath, steeling herself for what she was about to do. She had made up her mind - she was going to return the flowers to him and put an end to this charade once and for all.

She walked into the building and approached the receptionist at the front desk. "Excuse me, I would like to see Mr. Roy," Selene said firmly.

The receptionist, Mary, looked up and was taken aback by Selene's presence. She couldn't help but admire the strong and beautiful woman standing in front of her. She understood why Roy had fallen for Selene, but she also knew that Selene was not one to be trifled with.

Mary led Selene to Roy's office and knocked on the door before opening it. Roy looked up from his desk, a smile lighting up his face when he saw Selene standing there. But his smile quickly faded when he saw the bouquet of flowers in her hand.

Selene walked into the room without waiting for an invitation and stood in front of Roy's desk. "I'm here to return these," she said, holding out the flowers to him.

Roy was confused. "Why? What's wrong?" he asked, taking the flowers from her hand.

Selene took a deep breath before speaking. "I appreciate the gesture, Roy, but you shouldn't send me flowers. You won't be the first man to try and win me over with gifts, and you won't be the last. Stop forcing your way into my life. I have made my decision

As Selene walked out of his office, Roy felt a wave of emotions wash over him. He had never been rejected like this before, and it stung more than he cared to admit.

He thought back to his time in Italy, where he was feared and respected by all. But when it came to Selene, everything changed. She had a way of getting under his skin, of making him feel things he had never felt before.
