Chapter 9 A Gift in red box

I was walking in the hall. It looked like a big mansion. There was a glass chandelier on the ceiling. There were art pictures hanging on the walls. I was staring at the stairs. I was in a jolly mood. There was a demented smile on my face. I gently walked towards the stairs and started proceeding upstairs. As I reached the first floor, there was a strange silence. I gently closed my eyes. I then heard the heartbeat, which was coming from one room on the first floor. The heart was beating too fast.

I gently opened my eyes. A slight smile appears on my face. I started walking to my right. I started humming.

"Oh, my dear, you have been living with me for so long. You should know by now that you cannot run away from me, and you cannot hide from me."

I took a pause and burst into laughter. I then stopped in front of one room. I was now hearing the heartbeat clearly. I raised my right hand and flung open the door. The room was dark. I looked to the left and switched on the light. Suddenly, a girl came out from behind the bed. She was scared. It seemed from her face that she was terribly upset.

She abruptly started talking. "I want to go home. I do not want to play this game," she said with a breaking voice. I was simply gazing at her. Tears were rolling down her cheeks. I gently walked towards her. I smile. As soon as she saw me coming forward, she took a step back.

I then started speaking. "You do not have to be afraid of me. I am your friend," I exclaimed. She turned her gaze towards the ground. Her hands started trembling. She sighed shakingly. She started speaking again.

"I want to go home."

I ran and reached her. She flinched and fell to the ground. She then screamed. I leaned forward, raised my forefinger, and asked her to be quiet. She stopped screaming. But a minute later, she started talking again.

"I am tired. I want to go home.

I then took hold of her hand. I made her stand up. She was sweating profusely. I led her to the bed and made her sit on the bed. Instead of sitting on the bed, the girl started running towards the door. I looked at the ground for a second, then sprinted towards the door and closed it.

"Aroura, Aroura, Aroura."

I sighed. My love. Do not break my heart by saying this. You are happy here. Look how much I have given you! House to stay in, lots of food to eat." I then put my right hand on her right shoulder. I then started speaking again. "You are a very ungrateful person."

Aroura then looked away. I raised my left hand, took hold of Aroura's face, and turned her face towards me. Her eyes were walled up with tears.

"Aww. Do not cry. My dear. You know, I hate women who cry. I am famished," I said while grabbing Aroura's right-hand wrist. I turned my gaze towards her face. She was looking into my eyes. "I started looking into her eyes. I then locked my eyes into hers. I started speaking again. "You should not be afraid. You will sit here and not say anything. You will not run away.

She started repeating what I said.

A minute later, I had my fangs out. I sink my teeth into her wrist and start drinking her blood. As I started drinking, I heard a voice.

"You do not get bored of her. Let her go. And let's go outside and get a new toy to play with."

Meanwhile, I opened my eyes and found myself in my apartment room. The light was on. I started looking around. I held my head with both my hands. I sat up and put my feet on the ground.

"I did not turn her into a vampire. It was a dream. I was with Bella, and after she left, I went to the jeweler shop, where I drank the shop owner's blood," I said with a breaking voice. In the meantime, Darius voice rang in my ears.

"Whose blood did you drink?" Darius asked.

Hearing this, I jumped up from the bed and stood up. I abruptly said, "What are you doing here?" I said it with a surprised face. Darius simply looked at me. He is looking a bit different today. He has a silver scarf wrapped around his neck. Today he is wearing a red suit, which I found odd.

"I am sorry. I did not mean to scare you. Please do not get mad at me," Darius said with a trembling voice. I gently walked towards Darius. I smile. "I will not be getting mad on you. I am glad you are here. Where were you?" I said this while embracing Darius.

Darius then turned around and walked towards the coffee table. There was a red box on the table. Dairius picked up the red box, turned around, and looked at me. There was a smile on his face. Darius extended his hand and gave me the red box. I held the red box in my hand.

"What is this?" I asked while sitting on the chair. Darius walked towards the bed. Darius then sat on it. I was simply gazing at him. He was taking too much time to answer me. He again looked at me with a smile.

I raised my eyebrows. Darius then started speaking. "You have not opened it yet. I have brought this for you. I think you will like it." I sighed. I pressed my lips together. "Hmmm... you know I do not want you to buy me a gift for me." I said this while opening the red box.

When I opened the box, I saw a perfume bottle in it. I spray it on my hand and sniff the smell of perfume. I was shocked because that is my favorite perfume. I suddenly looked at Darius. He rose to his feet and walked towards me.

"I am glad you like it," Darius said while walking towards the door. As he opened the door, Darius stumbled, and before he fell to the ground, I ran and grabbed Darius by the arms and made him stand up. I then led him to the bed and made him lay down.

"Kid', are you okay? It seemed like you have not slept for days," I said while touching the scarf on Darius's neck. Darius suddenly jerked my hand. "Do not touch it," Darius yelled. I raised both my hands. "Fine, you sleep here, and I bring something for you to eat. Saying this, I leave the room. As I walk out of the apartment complex, I hear a familiar voice coming from the old lady's apartment.

I halted midway, turned around, and started walking towards the old lady's apartment. I gently closed my eyes and started listening.

"What did you see that night? Can you explain?" The woman asked. A second later, an old lady started speaking. "I saw two creatures fighting. They were very fast."

When I heard the voice, I recognized it. She is Cindy. I was curious what she was doing here because we had already recorded the old lady's statement. From the first day, I did not like her. Before she asked the old lady any more questions, I started knocking at the door.

At first, no one opened the door. Suddenly, there is silence in the old lady's apartment. I stopped knocking at the door for a second. A minute later, when I again raised my hand to knock at the door, The door suddenly flung open.

The old lady was standing in front of me with a smiling face. "How can I help you?" The old lady asked. I am still hearing the heartbeat. It seemed from the heartbeat that the person was nervous. I smile. "I knocked on the door because I thought my partner was here. I want to talk to him," I said without emotion. The old lady looked at me with narrow eyes.

"I do not know why you are claiming this because I am alone in the house. I was watching TV. The volume of my TV is loud, which confused you, and you thought I was talking with someone." The old lady said it with an angry face. I smile.

"I am sorry for the inconvenience. Are you okay? I mean, do you need any help?" I asked with a concerned face. She slammed the door in my face without saying anything. I walked towards the stairs. I then hid behind the wall. I am still hearing two people's heartbeats in the apartment.

I was curious why the old lady lied to me. I am fairly sure Cindy was inside the old lady's apartment. I was standing there, waiting for the person inside the old lady's apartment to come out.

A few minutes later, the door opened, and a young woman walked out of the old lady's apartment.
