Jessica didn't know what to do at that moment but remembered that she was in front of her staff and other clients that were being attended to so she had to compose herself.
"Hi Miss..." she pretended as though she was meeting them for the first time.
"Miss Samuel soon to be Mrs Johnson." She continues making her mockery over Jessica.
"Nice to meet you Miss Samuel and you too Mr Johnson. Thanks for stopping by and trusting us to help you plan an unforgettable wedding. I hope we meet your standard." She said,
Same here Miss Lawson, Dave said. And I hope we get along during this time.
"I hope so to, Jessica replied," facing Ivy smiling at her.
This infuriated Ivy but she had to keep up with the act and annoy her by wrapping her arms around him giving her a smug smile, "Yes, Ms Lawson, I'll keep that in mind."
Although Jessica was not comfortable seeing Ivy and Dave together, she had to comport herself knowing that she and Dave ended things a long time ago and they started right after. So she had to accept the fact that Dave was not into her anymore.
"So Mr and Mrs Johnson..."
Dave cut her in before she could finish her sentence.
"I'd prefer you still call us with the Miss and Mr, we are not yet married so just address us with the usual."
"Ok.. if you say so Mr Johnson."
"Dave please."
Ivy couldn't hide her anger anymore as she stomped out leaving Dave with Jessica.
"Should I go talk to her?" Jessica asked.
"No, just let her be, she'll come around." Dave said.
"Ok, if you say so. Once you guys are done playing the couple fight, inform my p.a, she'll call me please."
Jessica said as she stood up about to leave before Dave stopped her.
"Wait Jess,"
That name, how could he call me by that name as if he still had the right. Jessica muttered to herself.
"I'm so sorry Mr Dave, but I'll rather you call me Miss Lawson or Jessica. I'd prefer that."
"Ok I'm sorry if I started out wrongly but..."
"But nothing Mr Johnson, If it's not business then it's nothing. I don't entertain anything that's not business wise. Please talk to your fiance, I have other Important things to attend to and it's getting late." Jessica said as she walked out of Dave's presence.
Everyone looked at them wondering if they knew each other as they felt the tension coming from the both of them. They were gossiping amongst the people in Jessica's firm as people kept talking to each other but once Dave gave them a stern look, everyone went mute.
People did not dare talk when Dave was there because of the great influence he had in the country so people got scared to talk.
Bianca, Jessica's P.A knew all along as she planned it out with Ivy. When she heard about Jessica from her friend, Ivy, she decided to work for her in order to spite her.
She played the perfect P.A in order to gain her trust and she did but what Jessica didn't know was that she was a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Ivy and Bianca's greatest plan worked out as Ivy was satisfied by the outcome coming from the rest of her clients.
When they both met after the incident, Bianca was overjoyed at how their plan worked out.
"Oh My God! Girl, tell me this is not a master plan. No, tell me this did not go out perfectly because.." Bianca was over excited about the outcome.
"I told you it will work, didn't I. It's me remember," Ivy boasted as she cleaned her fake tears giggling so loudly.
"I haven't started yet with Jessica, this is just the tip of the iceberg because she will know Dave is all mine." Ivy said.
"Bruhh! That was good, the whole place is turned upside down with different talks here and there. Wow, now she will be on national television again."
They both laughed out loud at their perfect plan that went successful before Bianca left her to play the perfect personal assistant to Jessica.
When Jessica got to her office, she couldn't pretend any longer as she allowed her vulnerability to get the best of her. She couldn't understand why she was still feeling hurt after promising she would have her revenge on the Johnson's, most especially Dave.
Jessica felt all kinds of emotions rushing at her, love, pain, betrayal and hatred but she couldn't fight the urge of forgetting Dave. Nothing had prepared for the whirlwind of emotions that had hit her when she saw Dave. He was more matured, older and a lot more handsome than he was when younger. And also he was the father of her precious girl and the first man she had ever loved.
She remembers how they were so into each other, his words that soothes her, his touch, the way he handled her while they made love to each other and how defensive he was with her towards his mother.
"Liar!" She muttered loudly as she reminisced about the good days with Dave. Her eyes were shut, tears ran down her cheeks.
She heard someone knock on her door and cleaned her tears.
"Ma'am it's me"
"Come in, Bianca."
"Ma'am, I hope you're ok, I'm sorry about the incident that happened, it's all my fault."
"No, no it's not your fault Bianca. Stop it. It's not your fault."
"Ok, I just hope you get yourself and if you want, I can send them away to come back another time."
"It's ok B, I can handle it. I just need a little time to clear my head."
"Alright, if you say so and if you need anything, I'm a call away."
"I'll be fine, thank you B."
"Anytime ma'am."
Bianca left her office with a smirk on her face seeing that their plans actually worked on Jessica. She couldn't be more proud of herself.
Lisa came to drag Jessica out of her office knowing that she would forget their date and bumped into Dave and the malicious Ivy. She only heard of Dave and Ivy from her best friend and her mum's mouth and saw them on TV but meeting them in person, she was ready to fight them with everything she had for causing Jessica pain.
She gave them a murderous look and clenched her fist so tight as not to cause a scene at her best friend's office.
"I'm sorry, you looked like people I know. Please excuse me." she said and went to the direction of her friend's office.
Ivy seemed scared of her while Dave remained unmoved.
"Let's go," Dave instructed, which made Ivy confused.
"While? we are not done yet and she hasn't attended to us."
"Ivy, let's go now!" Dave shouted which made Ivy stand on her feet immediately.
"Tell Ms Lawson, we're sorry for causing her commotion." Dave told her P.A and left.
