Chapter 4 The Alpha's slave

Damien, my mate frowned lightly, his gaze landing on Silas. "And who are you to question my actions? You know how much I hate traitors, Silas. You're my Beta! You should know more about me than outsiders." He snapped.

Silas exhaled slowly, bowing his head slightly, "Alpha, I would never dare to question your actions. But.." his voice trailed off as he turned to look at me. "She's your mate, Alpha. The future Luna of our pack. Shouldn't you hear her out?"

Sapphire grinned, "The future Luna? How comical. Silas, have you ever heard of an Omega becoming a Luna? Is that even possible?!"

Silas's gaze landed on sapphire, his fists clenched by his sides. However, taking it out on sapphire would only steer up trouble.

"Nonsense!" Damien spat, getting up from his seat furiously. He approached me, his steps slow and dignified. Frightened, I lowered my head, not daring to leer into his eyes. "Face me!" He growled as he held my chin, forcing me to look at him. "Tell my Beta the truth! Tell him you're not so innocent. Tell him how you seduced me and forced me to spend a night with you!" He snapped.

Silas remained rooted at the spot, somewhat confused by what was unfolding in front of him. Yes, he was the Alpha's Beta, but humiliating his mate Infront of his pack was quite ridiculous. "Alpha.." he called out gently, "Even if she was sent by someone, treating her this way would get you nothing."

Damien grinned, "Nothing? Treating her this way would break her mentally. Eventually, she would come crawling and beg for mercy. Now is just the beginning." He said as he gave me a slight push, my eyes lingering on his back.

"But she's your mate!" Silas snapped, anger swirling in his eyes, "Alpha, I believe you're making a mistake, a huge one at that. You should cherish someone given to you by the moon goddess, not cause her pain. Alpha I...."

"Shut up!" Damien growled, his face flushed with anger. "How dare you speak to your Alpha that way?!" Immediately, Silas got to his knees, his face facing the ground, "Alpha, please accept my apology." he said softly and remained in that position for sometime.

My heart raced as I watched Silas fight for me Infront of the Alpha. Why was he doing this? I wondered, my eyes completely fixed on him.

"Arise" Damien said and turned around to face the guard, "Take her back to the dungeon" he said lazily, taking a seat on the couch. Sapphire smiled, gazing longingly at the Alpha. "Damien, take it easy on yourself, okay? Getting angry this way would affect you in alot of ways."

Damien chuckled, "Sapphire.." he called out softly, "You don't need to worry about me. Don't you have other things to do today? "

Sapphire waved her hands, getting up to leave, "I have a few things to do. I'll get back to you later, Damien."

Silas watched as Sapphire left the room, her entire posture exuding confidence. Clenching his fists by his sides, he mumbled, "Sapphire..just what are you up to?" Watching them from the sides, i frowned slightly. Why do I sense hatred between sapphire and Silas?

At the same time, a guard approached me and dragged me up roughly, "Let's go!" he snapped. Dreading the dungeon, I refused to leave, my lips trembling as I glanced at my mate, "P..please, don't let me go back. I'm begging you" my voice cracked and I could feel Silas's gaze on me, however his tongue was tied. All he could do was watch me struggle in vain.

Suddenly, Damien's thundering voice was heard after sometime, "You don't want to stay in the dungeon? Then be my slave. If you are my slave, you would have to satisfy me with everything, and if you make any mistakes, you'll be punished terribly."

Hearing the second option, I was at a loss but I immediately agreed. Not calming down to weigh the prons and cons. At least, I wouldn't go back to that dreadful dungeon which was filled with the horrible stench of blood. The guard next to me grinned, his ugly face had a look of mockery as he stared at me. "Earning a title of the Alpha's slave is quite befitting for an Omega like you." he whispered into my ears, making my blood boil. Ignoring him, I turned to the Alpha, my mate,"I'll be your slave. I'll serve you and always agree to your demands, Alpha."

"Good. Take her to the maid quarters." He ordered and the guard dragged me by my clothes, making me stagger slightly. "I can walk on my own." I said as we walked through the hall, but the guard ignored me completely, only stopping Infront of a huge door.

He faced me and warned, "You're now the Alpha's slave. That's your only title. Is that clear?!" I nodded furiously, frightened to death by his scary expression. "Good. You're the lowest and below everyone in this pack. If you cause trouble, the Alpha won't hesitate to destroy you." He added as he turned to leave.

A sigh escaped my lips as I watched him leave. Placing my hands on my chest, I shook my head and tried not to cry. Just in one day, my life changed drastically. My foster mother would be happy now that I've been sold to our Alpha, as a slave. Even as the Alpha's mate, I was sure I wasn't going to receive any special treatment. Instead, I would be treated badly by the entire pack.

Moments later, I inhaled sharply and pushed the door open, taking small steps into the large room. With each step, other maids glared at me with contempt, hatred and anger. A young lady approached me, a mocking smile plastered on her lips, "The omega wolf who seduced the Alpha. Even with your ugly look, you dreamt of having the Alpha on your side? How ridiculous!" She spat.

I ignored her and walked towards the small bed in a corner but she dragged my hands, making me yelp in pain. "I'm talking to you! How dare you try to walk away?" She snapped. "Because you climbed into the Alpha's bed, do you think you're above us now?!"

Hearing her words, my heart twisted in pain as tears threatened to spill from my eyes. The supposed man in question is my Mate, My mate!
