Chapter 4 Revenge

Upon hearing his bodyguard were shot, Nate immediately flew back to London. He dragged the killer with him. He still hasn't confessed.

Nate wanted to see his grandfather first before seeing his men. He wanted to hear confirmation from his grandfather.

The security guards there bowed their faces in honor of Nate, as Nate just stepped into the Cooper residence.

His feet stepped onto the family's golf course, which of course was right next to Cooper's house.

"The Jenner family has returned to this country, surely they will return to harass the Cooper Group again!" Nate said to Mr. Cooper.

He didn't mince words and got straight to the point. Speaking to Mr. Cooper who was holding a golf club.

"That's right. They will continue to harass us. Especially now, their wealth has increased. His drug business in the previous country was a success. And now he feels confident again by returning here," explained Mr. Cooper who had heard the news.

Even so, the Jenner Family could never match the Cooper Family's wealth.

On his way to the hospital, Nate saw Serena inside the house giggling in her playroom with Marianne.

As Nate walked into the toy room, he wanted to say hello to his younger sister.

"Brother!" greeted Serena when she realized Nate was standing in the doorway.

Serena immediately ran to him. She hugged Nate tightly. "Marianne can't hold a gun properly!" she said.

"You went to the shooting range?" asked Nate as he knitted his eyebrows together.

"Yeah, because Serena's head is a little dizzy. And Serena wanted to distract herself by going to the shooting range. Then, when Marianne tried, she couldn't!" He don't know what made Serena laugh so much that she cried tears of joy.

"Serena ... Not everyone's hobby is playing with guns," Nate said gently.

The Coopers all need to be able to hold a gun properly. And also pull the trigger on the target. Nate and Serena had gotten used to holding a gun as children.

"I mean, Serena looks very happy to be by Marianne's side." Nate quickly corrected him, and the driver smiled meaningfully as if teasing him.

"Can you stop smiling?" asked Nate as he stared at the driver with his eyes fixed firmly on the driver.

"Forgive me, Mr... I just–"

"Don't talk so much, drive the car!"

Thirty minutes later ...

When he arrived at the hospital, Nate was led by one of the nurses to the room where his bodyguard was being treated.

The doctor treating his bodyguard told Nate that he was able to communicate.

"Fortunately, the bullet did not hit his intestines, Mr. And can still be saved," the doctor said.

"Thanks, Doc." Nate's tired face showed only a faint smile after which he asked permission to enter his bodyguard's room.

When the door was opened by Nate, the bodyguard tried to get up from his bed.

"No need. Lie down," Nate said, shaking his head.

"I'm sorry, sir ... I've been very troublesome ... I didn't know that the forest near the North Shore was now the base of Jenner's men," he explained immediately.

"What did you go there for?"

"It's about Ms. Serena ...."

Nate's eyes narrowed. Why did it suddenly have to do with his sister?

"I was told to keep an eye on Ms. Serena. She received a letter from one of the maid. Fortunately, before Ms. Serena read it, I checked it first. At that time, Ms. Serena was going to have her health checked by Ms. Marianne, so I was able to take the letter. And as it turned out, it was from the Jenner family," he explains.

Instead of firing the bodyguard for incompetence, Nate thanked him. Perhaps if the bodyguard had not moved quickly to check the contents of the letter, Serena would have found a way to go to the forest.

"Get the car ready now. I'm going to the office to meet with the IT team to track all the Jenner family's movements!" Nate ordered his other bodyguards to stand in front of the hospital room, their hunter's eyes perfectly rounded.
