"Quickly ... Finish it! Don't cry!" A middle-aged woman pushed the body of a 23-year-old girl for being too slow at work.
The girl's face hit the wall, and there was blood around her forehead. Because the push was so hard.
"You spoiled child! You're bleeding just like that! You're incompetent! If you still can't work here, you'd better leave now!"
After saying that, she left the hospital hallway.
Marianne Wallace, who had blue eyes, brown hair, and a sharp nose, endured the pain on her forehead.
Marianne was a nurse. However, she had just come to work today and did not expect to be treated so badly.
A nurse is supposed to be a cleaner?
While enduring the pain, Marianne still finished her work. Afterward, she ran to one of the rooms to treat her wound.
"Marianne, don't cry ... You have to be strong." Over and over again, she encouraged herself.
Just because Marianne didn't come from a rich family, she was treated unfairly like this. It wasn't just Marianne who started working today. However, the treatment of her friends who had just started working today was very much different.
The reason was quite simple, they also came from wealthy families and were recommended by the head nurse who worked here.
"Why are you here?" Someone asked her, at that time Marianne was in one of the rooms she didn't know who it belonged to because she wanted to clean her wound.
Marianne turned her body 180 degrees, she narrowed her eyes to see a little girl hugging a doll.
"Your wound is bleeding a lot!" said the little blue-eyed girl.
"Let me treat it!" she said as she ran towards her.
For some reason, the little girl was very careful when treating the wound. It was as if Marianne was her patient.
"Thank you," Marianne said after finishing treating the wound on her forehead.
"What's your name?" she asked again.
"Serena."
The face of the little girl named Serena looked pale, her body thin. But that didn't detract from the beauty on her face. She was probably around thirteen years old.
"Serena, what are you talking to a stranger for?" Suddenly, there was a baritone voice coming from the doorway. Compactly, Marianne and Serena directed their gazes towards the doorway.
The man with the athletic body was standing there, and his face was so handsome, it was as if God was smiling while sculpting it. And what Marianne couldn't take her eyes off were the man's Hunter eyes!
"Who are you?" he asked, this time directing his question to Marianne. There was no friendly look on the man's face at all.
"I apologize., I'm Marianne ... I'm the new nurse here."
"What did you come into my sister's room for? Get out now!" The hunter-eyed man's steps widened towards Marianne. Then, he grabbed her arm and forced her out.
"But–" Marianne was confused, why couldn't she talk to the little girl, wasn't Serena also a patient here?
"It hurts!" Suddenly there was a scream from Serena's voice.
She was holding her head while closing her eyes. Serena looked like she was in a lot of pain.
"Quickly call Mrs. Hellen. You can't stay still!"
"Yeah, Mr." Marianne quickly ran to Ms. Hellen's room. She was the head nurse here and only handled VIP patients, like Serena.
Marianne knocked on the door of Mrs. Hellen's study, and she even opened the door without Mrs. Hellen's consent in a panic!
"Mrs. Hellen, VIP patient–"
Marianne's eyes widened at the sight that shocked her beyond belief.
A sight she should never have seen! Mrs. Hellen was having intercourse with one of the doctors here.
"Why did you come in?" Mrs. Hellen scolded her.
"Forgive me, Mrs ... I just wanted to tell you that Serena's illness has recurred!"
"Oh My Goodness. We'll get fired if we don't take care of her!" Mrs. Hellen looked panicked and so did the doctor. Marianne knew that they both had their partners.
And now, they were having an affair?
They both walked hurriedly to the VIP room. They put their clothes back on.
However, before that, Mrs. Hellen said, "Get out of my office right now! Finish cleaning the floor near the lobby!" she ordered in a stern voice.
"If you tell anyone what you saw earlier, you'll be fired!" she warned as she said it, Mrs. Hellen's face showing a hint of embarrassment.
"Very well, Mrs. Hellen." Marianne, who didn't want to argue, obeyed Mrs. Hellen's words. She didn't want to be fired on her first day of work. Although, Marianne was treated very badly here.
However, Marianne had to stay because of the economic needs that had to be met.
In the lobby, the nurses looked at Marianne sarcastically.
"You should be a waitress! Not a nurse!" said one of the nurses. This of course hurt Marianne's heart.
"She should be grateful to be in this hospital! Instead, she's making a fool of herself!" Responded one of the nurses next to her.
Not wanting to bother with them, Marianne started her work cleaning the floor.
To Marianne's hurt, the nurses deliberately paced back and forth, making the floor dirty again.
"Could you please stop your childish behavior? Instead of giving Marianne directions ... you're acting like bullies!"
The sound of loafers walking towards Marianne. The nurses immediately looked down and couldn't move.
Marianne's gaze was now fixed on a man wearing a white coat and glasses perched on his nose.
He was d.r. Lucas, the handsome man who had shown his sweet smile when Marianne first entered this hospital.
"I heard you carelessly walked in on one of the VIP patients, didn't you?" asked Lucas in a soft voice even though it sounded like he was interrogating Marianne.
"That's right, dr. Forgive me."
"Come on, come into my room."
"But, I haven't finished–"
"Why do you just stand by and watch the nurses do your job? Do you want to get fired from here?" Lucas said to one of the office boys who was staring at Marianne.
"Come on. Come with me. Get rid of it!" ordered Dr. Lucas who walked first and was followed by Marianne.
Arriving at Lucas' office, he invited Marianne to sit in the chair opposite his office chair.
"So, the patient you met earlier is Serena Cooper. She is Nathaniel Cooper's younger sister."
"Right. Wait a minute ... Are they the famous Cooper family in this country?" asked Marianne with a surprised expression.
"Pardon me, dr. I can't hide my surprise." Marianne immediately changed the look on her face.
"Hahaha! You're so funny! It's okay!"
Now Lucas was laughing. Instead of warning her to behave herself?
"That's why, Mrs. Hellen is so angry with you ... Because she's an important patient here. We can't afford to make any mistakes with her."
Mrs. Hellen was mad at her because she caught her having an affair with one of the doctors here.
So, who is the Cooper family? The Cooper family is very respected in this country, they run quite a dangerous business. They take down the mafia in this country.
"Don't tell anyone that one of the Cooper family is a patient at this hospital," Lucas ordered.
"So, no one knows that Serena is sick?"
"Of course not. It's top secret. That's why the recruitment of nurses a few months ago was so strict because we now have patients from unusual families. Mr. Nate doesn't want anyone to know about his sister's illness."
So, what was Nate's reason for not telling the public about his sister's illness?
While Lucas was talking to Marianne, someone knocked very loudly on the door. He immediately opened the door to Lucas' office.
"dr ... This is bad! A reporter accidentally took a picture of Serena Cooper sitting on a lawn chair! And now, the media is speculating about why she's in a hospital for cancer patients!"
So, how will the hospital handle this news that has started to spread? Will they be criticized by the Cooper family for being incompetent?
["Lucas, why aren't you watching Serena?"] The phone call that came in from Mr. Cooper, he was immediately angry of course, when he saw the news that had been circulating
["Uncle, I told Mrs. Hellen to keep an eye on Serena. Because she is responsible for looking after Serena. I'm sorry, this is my fault. I should have handled Serena directly."]
What exactly is Lucas' blood relationship with Mr. Cooper? Why does Lucas call Mr. Cooper an uncle?
["Finish it right now. You have to clarify to the media and give a reasonable reason. I don't have time now! I'm on my way to Morocco! Don't let Serena know if the media talks about it!"]
["I'll finish it–"
Before Lucas could finish speaking, Mr. Cooper turned it off unilaterally.
For a moment, Lucas massaged his temples which immediately hurt.
"Geez ...," he complained as he walked towards Serena's room.
When Lucas reached the floor of the VIP room, his eyes narrowed, looking at Serena who was crying. She missed her late parents, who had died two years ago in an accident.
"I want to go home," she whispered with teary eyes. Serena pleaded with her brother.
However, Nate could not allow Serena to go home now. Her condition was still unstable. He didn't want to take any chances.
"Nate," Lucas called, already looking familiar.
"I'm going to fire Mrs. Hellen. She can't even take care of my sister!" Nate said without thinking about firing Mrs. Hellen.
Little did anyone know that Nate Cooper now owned the hospital. When his sister was diagnosed with cancer, he didn't hesitate to immediately take ownership of the hospital. Fortunately, the previous owner knew Nate well and was willing to let Nate become the highest shareholder in the hospital.
"How did you handle the news?" Lucas asked.
Nate sighed irritably, he didn't want his sister's health condition to be in the public spotlight. He wanted to maintain his sister's privacy. Because since Nate was born, his privacy has been exposed because he is the first grandson of the Cooper Group heir.
As he was talking, the sound of someone's shoesteps approaching the room was heard.
"dr. Lucas, there's a patient you need to see." It turned out to be Marianne with a haggard face because after coming out of Lucas' office, she was told to buy food by the nurse there. That was heartless.
"Sorry to bother you guys, I just wanted to give–"
"You!" greeted Serena. Whereas a few seconds ago, the little girl was crying.
However, her expression changed instantly, when Serena saw her.
"Marianne, you can come in." It was not Nate who gave the order, but Lucas.
However, Marianne had previously looked at Nate. Nate did not show any expression. Just a flat expression.
Then Marianne walked over to Serena. Marianne felt sorry for Serena who had to lie in the hospital like this.
"Are you okay?" Marianne asked Serena.
"I should be the one asking you ... Are you okay?" Serena asked, making Marianne worried again.
Because right now, Marianne's hand when she touched Serena, felt very cold. Her face was deathly pale. Her head felt like it had been hit by something.
"Marianne!" Lucas shouted. So did Nate who was astonished.
Why did Marianne suddenly faint?
***
Nate opened the ward door. Seen on the hospital bed, Marianne was lying weak and dreamy.
"Has the pain subsided?"
"Mr. Nate ...." Marianne tried to sit up. However, Nate quickly prevented her.
"Stay lying down."
There was no answer from Marianne.
"Nate, there are a lot of reporters outside the hospital! Make sure Serena doesn't leave the hospital!" Lucas suddenly opened the door with a panicked look on his face.
"Get those reporters in here."
"What does that mean?"
"Hurry up, Lucas! Get them in here!"
"Nate, if they come in here, they'll see and recognize Serena as one of the patients here. I don't want–"
"Didn't you hear me say that? Get one of them in here! Don't talk too much or I'll kill your career?" Now, Nate was finally threatening Lucas.
"Mmhh, alright." Lucas, who no longer knew how powerful Nathaniel Cooper was, finally complied.
"Mr. Nate, you can't talk to dr. Lucas like that."
"You don't know anything, better shut up!" Nate's voice rose, his hunter eyes staring intently at Marianne.
She didn't know what else Nate was planning. But, to be honest, the situation was really tense.
Because the reporters were outside the hospital.
"First time, seeing a handsome man?" he asked still with his flat face, but still not fading his good looks.
"Forgive me." Marianne immediately turned her face the other way and cursed herself for doing the stupid thing of staring at Nate without blinking.
Nate's eyes could see in the distance that a reporter had been summoned by Lucas to approach Nate.
"Let's get this drama started." Nate's cold stare at Marianne left the blue-eyed girl confused.
Was Nate's purpose in coming to Marianne's ward because he had a plan?
What drama was Nate referring to?
"Nate ...." Lucas gave the code to Nate, at the same time, Lucas was surprised to see Nate's hand clasping Marianne's arm. So was Marianne, Marianne's heart was racing!
"Good afternoon, Mr. Nate ...."
"What do you want to know from me?" His hunter's eyes stared intently at the journalist.
"I just want to confirm the news that has been circulating in the media. Is it true that Ms. Serena is one of the patients here?"
The reporter, Lucas and Marianne were confused by Nate's reaction, because of the unexpected reaction of the man with the hunter's eyes. He laughed and clapped his hands. Seemingly underestimating the reporter.
"Do I have to tell you the truth?" This time, Nate's gaze focused on Marianne who was lying down.
"Well, I'd better admit it ... Me and Marianne, we both have a relationship. Marianne works at this hospital and I, as a good lover, occasionally visit my lover. As for my sister, she came here with me once."
The statement from Nate, really made Marianne's eyes widen, her mouth opened reflexively.
"What else do you want to know? Do you want to know again, when Marianne and I made love?"
The reporter swallowed harshly. He felt both embarrassed and stupid, having accepted the raw news circulating in the media.
"Mmmh ... If I may know, why was your lover admitted here? As you said earlier, she was a nurse here. Why is she a patient now?"
Nate was silent for a moment. Trying to think, but he kept a calm face so as not to look confused, choosing the right answer so as not to become a Boomerang again.
"Marianne, just suddenly fainted. And she was immediately admitted here. After hearing the news that Marianne was admitted, Mr. Nate immediately came here."
It wasn't Nate who answered, but Lucas.
"Hello, my name is Lucas. I'm a doctor at this hospital." Lucas smiled very broadly.
"Are you, dr. Lucas the ... Mmh, who used to live in an orphanage and was adopted by the Cooper family?" The reporter's question made Nate's emotions run high.
Even though he and Lucas weren't close. However, Nate didn't like it when people brought up Lucas' past.
"Turn off the camera!" Nate ordered.
"Turn off the camera, asshole! Or I'll tell your boss to fire a fucking reporter like you who has no code of ethics!" By now, Nate's voice was rising. Nate stood up from his seat.
The veins on his face were visible. His hunter's eyes sharpened. Quickly, the reporter turned off his camera. His body was trembling because he was afraid of being scolded by Nate.
"Delete the scene where you asked Lucas that stupid question!"
"Nate ... Never mind." Lucas tried to calm Nate down.
"Get out of here now, before I kick your ownership and drag you to jail!"
Still, with shaking hands, the journalist stuffed his camera and microphone into his big bag. After he finished putting everything in, he ran out of the room.
"Damn it. Why are they hiring such incompetent reporters now?" Nate cursed.
"Lucas ... Are you going to stay like this forever?" Nate's emotions were out of control at that moment.
Lucas, meanwhile, coded Nate not to talk about such sensitive matters in front of Marianne. Some nurses wanted to know what had just happened. Because Nate's voice was very loud.
"I'll call Mr. Cooper. If you've clarified." Lucas tapped Nate on the shoulder.
"What?" There was no Lucas. There was only Nate and Marianne, now Nate asked in a stern tone to Marianne who had been holding back her fear and shock at what she had just witnessed.
"No, Mr ... It's just that I want to ask ... Why did Mr. Nate lie about–"
"Do you mind?"
"It's not that-"
"That's enough, just shut up! Just accept what I told the reporters! After all, it was only temporary, I was just looking for an excuse so that no one would know that my sister was a patient here!"
Not wanting to make Nate's temper explode again, Marianne kept her mouth shut.
Nate had yet to leave Marianne's room. Instead, the Hunter-eyed man remained silent as his eyes gazed out of the large window overlooking the hospital's beautiful gardens.
Twenty minutes later, when no one was making any noise at all, there was the sound of shoe steps and the door was opened.
"Nate ... Mr. Cooper would like to speak with you on the phone." Lucas, who had just arrived, handed Nate his cell phone.
Nate took the phone and put it to his right ear.
["Nate, how's Serena? Grandpa's still in Morocco!"]
["Serena's getting better, Grandpa. But she keeps crying to go home. However, the doctor hasn't allowed her to go home yet due to a relapse of her illness."]
["Otherwise, I will take Serena home and I will recruit a nurse for Serena at home. Who will check on Serena's health every day."]
["Mrs. Hellen?"]
For a moment, Nate looked at Marianne who was also looking at him with a slightly scared face.
["Marianne ... I want to recruit her to be Serena's nurse. She will come with us to the house."]
How would Marianne react if she agreed to become Serena's nurse? What was Nate's reason for choosing Marianne as the nurse who had just started work today?
All the eyes of the staff working at the hospital looked at Marianne with a look full of jealousy. Why had Marianne, who had just started working today, already been chosen by Nate to be Serena's nurse at the Cooper residence?
"Mr. Nate, I can't." However, in reality, Marianne refused.
"Please do me a favor, Marianne. Serena only wants to be cared for by you. No one else," Nate pleaded.
Because he knew, this time he was the one who seduced Marianne into becoming his sister's nurse. For some reason, Serena became overjoyed when she found out Marianne would be her nurse at home.
It was as if Serena didn't have a headache at the moment. Her face looked very happy.
"How about Mr. Hellen?"
"Please, don't ask so many questions!" As if by magic, Nate's face changed instantly because Marianne asked too many questions.
Marianne, who was frightened by the look on Nate's face, chose to look down.
"And you will live in the Cooper residence, as long as you are Serena's nurse."
Hearing this, Marianne's face, which had been downcast, now looked up with a look of rejection.
"I can't, Mr ... I have my parents to take care of."
"Don't worry about it. I've already taken care of it and made sure your parents have no objection to my request."
"Still can't. They're both not as fit as they used to be. I can't."
Nate made an annoyed face. Why was Marianne testing his patience so much?
"Get Marianne's parents on the phone!" Nate ordered one of his bodyguards who was standing not far from him.
Soon, a video call was connected to Marianne's parents.
Marianne was confused, where did her parents get a cell phone?
["Hi, Marianne! Thank you for working with Mr. Nate! Mom and Dad are so happy!"] There was no sign of sadness at all shown by her parents.
Even Marianne was confused, how could her father stand up? Wasn't her father completely paralyzed?
Marianne looked puzzled at Nate who already knew what Marianne was thinking.
["Don't argue with anything Mr. Nate says! Work diligently! And don't forget, transfer the money to us every week!"]
As if there was no concern at all, her parents immediately closed the video call unilaterally.
"Understand now? Your parents have deceived you. They're fine but it's as if they're sick and can't go anywhere, so you're the one working hard and they're the ones enjoying the fruits of your labor."
How did Nate know? Hadn't they just gotten to know each other?
Marianne daydreamed, feeling foolish for having been deceived by her parents. Every day she sacrificed everything. Especially her youth that she spent working hard.
Lucas, who was beside Marianne, understood what she was feeling. He immediately hugged Marianne. Stroking her back to make Marianne more resilient.
"Marianne! Let's go!" exclaimed Serena who was already in the car, not forgetting her bright smile.
That was Marianne's weakness, she couldn't fight Serena. One of the patients who remained strong even at a very young age already had to deal with the hospital.
Honestly, it had been a long time since Nate had seen such a happy smile from his sister. Although Nate felt uncomfortable with other people around his sister, if it was for Serena's happiness, he would do anything.
Because right now, Serena only had him and his grandfather. Both of their parents were gone.
Not wanting to slow down, Nate got into the car. A car driven by his driver. Followed by Marianne who was still hesitant.
"Serena, is something hurting?" Nate held Serena's face and rubbed it gently.
"Nothing, Brother. I'm fine. Don't worry about me too much, I now have Marianne by my side!" Without hesitation, Serena hugged Marianne who was also sitting beside her.
"Marianne, can I sleep on your lap?" Serena's simple request immediately received a nod from Marianne.
Not long after, Serena fell asleep. She felt very comfortable sleeping on Marianne's lap.
Nate and the driver who saw it could only be silent. Why did the stranger easily captivate his sister's heart?
Realizing Serena had fallen asleep, Nate let out a long sigh and leaned his head against the chair. Realizing there was Marianne next to him who had been silent, Nate looked at Marianne.
"Do you have a boyfriend?" The question just came out of Nate's mouth.
And Marianne only answered it with a shake.
"If you ask me, answer, don't just shake your head!" Nate scolded but his voice was not too loud. Considering Serena was sleeping.
He didn't like people who just gave a nod or a shake when he asked a question.
"No, Mr. Nate."
"Good. I don't want your boyfriend going back and forth to the Cooper residence."
Nate inwardly cursed himself. Why of all the questions he could have asked, did he choose to ask such an unimportant one?
There was no more conversation until the car arrived at the Cooper residence. The house was like a palace.
There were bodyguards everywhere. CCTV in every corner. Luxury cars lined up in his garage. Indeed, the luxury owned by the Cooper family had amazed Marianne.
When her car door was opened by one of the security guards there, it made her heart race. She was going to work here? How could she possibly work for such a respected family in this country?
"Serena, please!" Nate ordered the maid who had been standing in the parking lot of the Cooper house. To serve Serena.
"I'll bring her!" Marianne said.
"Hurry up!" Nate would not allow Marianne to bring Serena.
"Alright, Mr. Nate." Carefully, the maid took over the sleeping Serena from Marianne's lap ... Indeed, her body felt lighter.
"And you, come with me!" Nate suddenly pulled Marianne's arm towards the garden at the hospital. He let out a frustrated sigh and his Hunter eyes stared at Marianne's innocent face.
"I'm going to make a deal with you, regarding your contract with Serena!" he said, his face looking very serious.
"Mr, I would like you to give me some free time so I can meet with my parents." Marianne still denied that her parents had been cruel to her.
"I wouldn't have allowed you to go out without Serena, if not for Serena's regularly scheduled hospital visits. So that means you can't," Nate emphasized with a sharp gaze that made Marianne unable to move at all.
"No one is to leave this house, without my orders. Not even the guards, because they've signed a contract here. Understood?"
Gosh, why did Marianne have to be trapped in this magnificent palace? Marianne had only imagined working in a hospital rather than being the Cooper Family's nurse.
"Regarding the employment contract, my secretary will provide an employment contract tomorrow morning for you to sign!" he said again.
Marianne wanted to cry right then and there. Would she be one of the Cooper prisoners living in his residence from now on?
Not wanting to receive any protests from Marianne, Nate left her behind as he went to his grandfather's office. One of his guards had given him the code to meet Mr. Cooper.
Hadn't his grandfather said that he was in Morocco? So why was he now in London again?
Nate took the simple route of taking the elevator. He didn't bother taking the stairs, which was his grandfather's office on the third floor.
"Grandpa," he called as Nate opened the door to his grandfather's office.
"So, the nurse you brought is the woman in this photo?"
As Nate walked in, his grandfather showed him the photo on his iPad screen.
"That's right, Grandpa. Nate had no other choice."
"All right. Most importantly, the rumors about Serena being a patient at the hospital have died down. Now, you need to get to work."
"See, he's the one who tried to escape to Norway. He just killed his wife. And now, he's on the run. You need to find him right now. Make the citizens believe that Cooper Group can easily handle this matter." Mr. Cooper changed the subject.
"Make him open up too so that he admits that he killed his wife!"
"So, he's not being honest?"
"That's why he's running away now that the media is accusing him."
"Use the gun if he won't confess too."
See? Even since childhood, Nate had been urged by his grandfather to be a cold-blooded and fearless man.
Since he was ten years old, Nate had been taken to the Cooper Group. He was used to seeing criminals shot, executed, and beaten to a pulp because they still wouldn't confess.
Mr. Cooper stood up from his chair and patted Nate on the shoulder.
"I'm proud of you. You've overcome everything. From Serena's problems to work!"
"Nate did all this for our family. Especially Serena who is now sick." Nate had to convince himself that he could be Cooper's successor.
Especially since he wasn't a teenager anymore. Later this year, Nate will be appointed as Cooper's successor and he must instill Mr. Cooper's ruthless nature into him.
Now, Nate is on a plane to Norway. Nate, who was previously focused on reading the file given by Mr. Cooper, now understands where he will go when he lands in Norway.
"We go straight to the village here." Nate's index finger pointed to a map of Norway. More precisely to one of the remote villages in Norway.
"Alright, Mr. Nate."
The journey from London to Norway had taken only a short time. And now, the Cooper Group's private jet had landed on one of Norway's international flights.
As Nate climbed the steps of the plane to exit, a black car was ready to drive him to the remote village.
The staff at the airport had their heads down. They must know who Nate is. Nathaniel Cooper was like his twin brother, Mr. Cooper. They shared the same traits of being cold-blooded and good at what they did.
"Did anyone around here see that guy?" Nate asked the resident who was his current driver.
"He was seen buying a ticket to board the ship, Mr. Cooper."
"Damn it. Speed up the car. We can't be late!"
Thirty minutes later, the car was parked in the village Nate had mentioned.
The gun Mr. Cooper had given him lay on top of the car seat. Without hesitation, Nate picked it up. From now on, he had to carry that gun wherever he went. Soon he will become the face of the Cooper Group, and there will be many enemies who secretly want to kill him.
He kept the gun in his coat pocket. And Nate started to get out of the car.
"Mr. Nate, that man has entered the ship."
"How did he pass the identity check?" Nate asked because Nate had told the ship's officer to check the face and identity of every passenger who would board the ship that day.
His bodyguard was silent. With just one kick, Nate was able to shake his bodyguard's massive frame.
"You idiot! Fire him! I don't need a bodyguard with a brain like him!" Nate said to one of his other bodyguards.
"M ... Please don't fire me! I'm sorry!" The bodyguard pleaded with Nate and even grabbed Nate's leg.
"Let go or I'll have another bodyguard throw you overboard?" Nate threatened.
Frightened by the threat, the bodyguard quickly released his grip on Nate's leg.
"If anyone does incompetent work. I will fire all of you immediately! Cooper Group doesn't need unreliable people!" Nate emphasized to his other bodyguards.
After that, Nate walked towards the ship. Followed by his 5 bodyguards.
"You search every room on this ship."
"Alright, Mr."
"Prepare a private room for me!" Nate said to one of the staff on the ship.
After waiting for twenty minutes, there was no sign of the killer.
An impatient Nate walked out. However, just as he opened the door, he already saw one of his bodyguards pulling the collar of the man Mr. Cooper was referring to.
"What took you so long, damn it? You can't even catch a little frog!" Nate grumbled that it was taking them too long to find the killer.
"Tie him to that chair. Blindfold him," Nate ordered.
Once his eyes were blindfolded and tied firmly enough, the killer screamed for help.
"Shut your mouth! You can only talk if I tell you to!"
Nate felt like punching the killer in the face.
He threw one of the items lying on the table, aiming it at the killer's face.
"Mr. Nate ... It's best not to do anything rude just yet. Because we're going to record it. If he doesn't open his mouth, then we'll do something harsh," one of the bodyguards said.
Nate was always angry at criminals who could easily commit crimes, especially against his wife.
While trying to contain his emotions, Nate sat on a chair. He stared at the camera that his bodyguard had pressed.
"What are you boarding this ship for? When your wife is mourning the death of her family?" The first question out of Nate's mouth.
"I ... Because I was accused of killing my wife."
"Accused? Who first accused you of killing your wife?" Nate was still trying to get the killer to confess.
"My daughter!"
"Why would your daughter suddenly accuse you of killing your wife?"
"Because ... Because it's .... "
"Answer!" Nate's temper was getting out of control, as the man stammered out an answer.
"I didn't kill my wife!"
Nate rose from his seat and laughed evilly.
"Still won't confess? We have hard evidence!"
The killer didn't answer. Remember, Nate didn't like people who didn't answer his questions.
"Answer, damn it! You killed someone!" Not to be outdone, Nate kicked the chair the killer was sitting in and banged his head on the floor.
"If you don't confess, we'll do even harder things to make you confess!"
While trying to scare the killer, one of the bodyguards interrupted Nate. He had a look of panic on his face.
"Mr. Nate ... One of our guards has been shot ... And the cause is the Jenner family!"
The Jenner family? Why would that family come back to London? Aren't they already hated by the people here? So, is Nate going to fly to London soon? And hold off on interrogating the murder confession?
