Chapter 7 Goodbye, Nathaniel Cooper!

According to the schedule, tonight the Cooper Group would hold a dinner event on board their luxurious ship and invite the most important guests in the country, to celebrate the inauguration of Nathaniel Cooper.

Nate reached into his shirt pocket and found a red velvet box. Nate opened the box and inside was a beautiful ring.

He put the ring on Marianne's ring finger.

Why would Nate do that?

"Didn't you tell the media from the beginning?" asked Marianne while biting her lip because she couldn't stand to look into Nathaniel Cooper's mesmerizing eyes! And the beautiful ring on her ring finger!

"No ... It's not just a formality. I want you to be my real lover."

The number of reporters outside made Marianne confused as to which direction she should walk toward the parking lot. Not to mention the many Cooper Group bodyguards standing guard outside.

"Here, wear this jacket." The man handed Marianne a black jacket.

"Hurry up. If you want to ask questions, it's better later."

Marianne obeyed very easily. Without the slightest suspicion. She put a black hoodie on herself. And she was also given sunglasses. So that no one would recognize her.

"Come on!"

The two of them walked towards the parking lot.

They both arrived at the parking lot. Marianne took off her glasses and turned to the man, but he immediately gagged her with a drugged handkerchief. So Marianne fell unconscious.

Nate realized that there was no Marianne who had also not returned from the toilet. He immediately looked around him. His mind was in turmoil.

But to no avail. Nate threw the bottle on the table.

Nate's heart ached. He started to like Marianne. However, it turns out that Marianne chose to leave him.

Suddenly, one of his bodyguards came to give Nate information.

"Mr. Nate ... That guy ... I mean Jenner's men that we caught yesterday ... He was shot dead by Mr. Jenner because his mission was discovered by the Jenner family!"

Nate's hands clenched into fists. His sharp eyes were perfectly rounded showing his hatred for the Jenner family and also Marianne who had betrayed him. What was supposed to be a fun night, became a bad night!
