Chapter 9 Kayla

After we talk for a while I stand up and go get our food which is just burgers and fries.

I find my coworker Lily who is an Omega wolf waiting so I can collect the order "hey Lily can you give me a hand with the drinks" she just glares at me then moves on with whatever she is doing on her phone. That girl does not like me "okay then two trips it is"

"what's up with her? Did you do something" "yeah. . .she hates my guts" I go back the drinks and internally pray that Lily didn't spit on them while I was not looking.

"she's hot do you know if she is single?" Kali asks looking at Lily with heart eyes while she pays her no mind.

"as you can see we are not really friends plus I can't have you braking my coworkers heart" if she hasn't now she would spit in my drink then "Want to see who can get her number first?" Kaze asks taking a huge bite of his burger

"I thought you guys promised to never do that again. We all know it always ends in drama" Kali is bisexual and when she first told us Kazes first words were 'I bet I can get more girls than you' and because they are both competitive as fuck and they are both very much beautiful many hearts were broken as a result of their silly game.

"yeah. Im mature now Kaz, I can't have you hurting because I get all the girls" Kali nods her head as if she wasn't about to agree just now but we all know she is just reeling Kaze in by taunting him. "oh my god please stop" I plead but they pay me no mind. "oh its on. Woman loves these muscles ill have her asking to marry me in less than a week" he flexes to emphasise his point.

"what muscles are we talking about exactly" she motions to him with a fry

"you are a scrawny ugly looking turd, be for real right now"

"He literally looks like you" I muse

"he wishes he looked like me" Kali quips "so tell us about Mr-this-is-my-table-bitch-move. Have you guys fucked yet" I hate that I immediately feel my cheeks heat and I cant look at my siblings in the eye. "oh fuck I was only joking but did you?"

"no we didn't stupid, we didn't do anything. He actually hates me"

"that's a lie and who is this guy anyway do I have to punch people already, come on people I just got here." Kaze says trying to feign seriousness but failing miserably.

"leave her alone no one asked you to punch anyone. You're just mad she has game and you don't" Kali says but Kaze just flips her the bird. "so?" She asks me.

"so nothing I don't want to talk about him, not because we have bad blood but because he demanded I apologise to him for what happened in the cafeteria and was being a douche bag about it"

"ouch" they both say at the same time

"no not like that, he doesn't hate me or something like that we just. . .we're cool okay" why do I suddenly feel embarrassed about this, I agreed to it.

"oh honey you don't have to deny it to us we're your family we understand"Kali holds my hand as she says this.

"shut up you dock. Kayla who's this guy. I'll punch him if I have to"

"he is no one and no you don't have to punch him"

"great because I'm not a fighter I'm a lover" he leans back in his chair letting out a dramatic woosh of air. Kali shrieks in her chair and at first I think its because of what Kaze was saying but then realise that she seems to be concerned about something she is seeing in her phone.

"what's wrong? are you okay Kal" I ask

"I think Cindy just blocked me" she answers her voice low.

"you guys are fighting still?" I ask.

"umh no I thought we were cool, she actually ended up breaking up with her boyfriend" she says in an unsure voice.

"maybe she got back together with him and doesn't want you to know about it" say's Kaze. "yeah maybe" she locks her phone putting it face down on the table

"theres a soccer game tomorrow wanna go watch"

"I'ts my day off and I'm sleeping early" the rush actually decreased the past few days so Ray agreed to let me off to recuperate. He's a good boss.​ "Can't i have something planned" Kaze says tapping away on his phone his long curly hair covering his eyes.

"Kayla you have to come with me, I need someone to scope out the hot dudes with. They will be running around all hot and sweaty" she sighs dreamily

"nope not available I need to sleep early on my day offs not run around screaming for a bunch of dudes I don't even know"

"first of all you won't be running around and secondly you know Alvin and from what I've gathered he really knows what he is doing" she flips her hair at me. At the mention of Alvin I almost agree just so I could see him play but that's just the reason that makes me say

"no thanks" instead. I'm way too invested in that guy, it's getting over my head.

"oh please just do this for me. Please, please, please" she holds my hands and tries to give me puppy dog eyes that make me smile. "oh my god you're so annoying fine!" I relent after about five minutes of her begging me. "it's the eyes right? They always get me too?" says Kaze shaking his head in trepidation "a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do" she flips her hair dramatically again smiling that cunning smile of hers.

"if I go you owe me one" 'yeah,yeah" she ignores me typing something on her phone. "I'm inviting my roommate because I don't trust you to not ditch me" I tell her "Yeah do that its good to have a plan B" she doesn't even try to deny that she will ditch me.

"shes cool? Your roommate" asks Kaze "yeah she's cool, I don't know why I was panicking about her arrival. What about yours?"

"Don't know, he hasn't showed up yet" We continue to chat and catch up about the places we've seen and the new people and time runs out on me but I don't get up until Ray gives me a side eye across the room indicating on his wrist that time has run out on me.

They leave, Kali promising that she will come get me from my room when we have to leave which I know won't be happening because she is always late. Later I get another text

Unknown: It was interesting seeing you all together

Why would Alvin find it interesting to see me with my siblings?
