Chapter 4 Trials

As Fedric alighted, Jessica walk to him ready to hold his arm but was left hanging leaving her in an embarrassed state, she quickly return to her normal state. Noticing the gaze from the surrounding, she gave them a sharp glare warning them from spouting rubbish, finally her gaze landed on Bianca, surprised to see a beauty among the maid. Finding her beauty threatened her position, immediately she finds her as an eyesore.

After settling in her room, Jessica called out to the Head of maids, Cynthia, listening to her talking, Cynthia thought to herself " this lady boss is a fiesty one, I have to avoid her trouble at all means"

" ......., that is all what you need to take care of, you may take your leave" Jessica said

"Yes ma" Cynthia replied and was about to leave when she heard her name, turning back, she saw Jessica trying to remember something " I hope am safe, I hope none of the maid has offended her" Cynthia thought worriedly.

" There was this maid who stand at the last part of the que, what is her name?" Jessica asked

" ma you mean Bianca, she was part of the new......." Cynthia replied but was cut off

" I don't ask you for more details about her, I was asking about her name " Jessica yelled making Cynthia took some step back and then continue " I can see you love babbling a lot, anyway let that serves as your warning, only answer what I asked, do you understand me" Jessica warned

" yes ma" Cynthia replied

" I want her fired" Jessica said

" ma... I can't " Cynthia said carefully, choosing her words wisely, she continue " the list of the maid are already submitted to Sir Michael "

" why him, am the fucking fiance of the boss for crying out loud, it is my own duty to overseas who work with my fiance " Jessica said angrily, not receiving a reply and knowing she has gone far, she calm down

" Breath... breath. ok, find a way to put her not close to the master bedroom " Jessica said

"yes ma" Cynthia replied and left the room

" Phew.... that was so close, I don't know what star you brought along Bianca for you to be targeted on your first day" Cynthia murmur.

Bianca was called to Cynthia room, standing in front Cynthia.

" I don't know how you are so unlucky to be targeted on by the lady boss, on your first day, anyway I want you to start your work in the kitchen, I don't want you near the master room, am I clear " Cynthia said

hearing the words targeted on by the lady boss make her heart beat faster not listening to the remaining of the words, she cried to herself " why again! why am I targeted by the lady boss of all people " cutting her from her thought, Cynthia asked again " am I clear "

" ma... what.." Bianca wanted to asked her to recaps but was afraid to offend her also. Not blaming her for not listening, Cynthia recaptulate her words again.

leaving Cynthia room, Bianca walked absentminded to her room, reaching her room, Bianca sat on her bed and pondered on how she offended the lady boss, not getting what she did, she put the thought at the back of her mind, and slept.

The next day, Bianca woke up early, tidy up herself and headed to the kitchen in a rush not wanting to get there late, in her rush, she bumped into Jessica, seeing this she tried to run before Jessica recognize her

" You.... stop there" Jessica commanded, putting a stop to her attempt of running, Bianca timidly turn back

" am .... sorry....ma" Bianca said shivering keeping her head low.

" oh it is you, how dare you hit me" Jessica shouted and slapped Bianca hard making her fall.

" am sorry ma" Bianca kept apologizing

" what are you apologizing for, after you intentionally hit me" Jessica shouted

" no ma...it was not in...... " Bianca tried to explain

" so am lying?" Jessica said

" no ma, am sorry ma" Bianca apologize again.

" what is the noise all about " Fredric said with an hoarse voice walking up to them.

Hearing the voice and the footsteps getting close, make Bianca heart to beat faster. " Am dead ! who has my ancestors offended for me to get into this calamity " Bianca cried internally

Seeing Fredric walking over, Jessica quickly blocked his view from looking at Bianca.

" Nothing dear, I just discipline one of the maids" Jessica said

" Ok, sort your thing out and don't make a lot of noise for unnecessary things" Fredric said and walk away to the dinning room.

After he left, Jessica turn back to Bianca and said

" Your punishment is for another day " after saying that she left to join Fredric at the dinning room leaving Bianca to sort herself .

Dusting her clothes, Carl Walk up to her mocking her and said " you think, everywhere you went to, you will be loved, how dreaming" Carl scoffed and walk away.

Getting to the kitchen, she saw everyone very busy, before she could try to help, a chef called her, he was dressed completely from others, he wore a tailored white shirt and a black trousers with a chef cap, while others only wore an apron and a chef cap.Immediately you see him, he stands out among others, definately he is the head of chef

" You are the newcomer Cynthia appointed here, Bianca right?" the chef asked

." Yes sir" Bianca replied

" Today is your first day and you are starting by arriving late" the chef asked

" Sorry sir... something came up" Bianca replied

" I want no excuses, since there is nothing left for you to do, join the server and serve the food" the chef said and left leaving Bianca who was frozen on the spot after hearing she was to serve the food.
