Chapter 5 5

"Adelrina!" Mama shouted while slamming the door of my room now. I'm just getting dressed, going to my job at the hotel.

What I saw last night didn't put me to sleep, I want to tell Mom. But I know that they won't believe me, because besides their favorite and always supporting Drew, I will be the one who will be hurt if I speak.

"It's only human, open it or I'll break the door!" Mama was furiously slamming the door, I walked to the door and opened it. Mama passed me and approached my bag. I scraped my things and when I was done I went to my clothes and was looking for something.

"What is that, Mom?" I asked and removed all my clothes, continuing to search for something in my gear.

"Where's one of my wallets, it's missing and if you took it, take it out. I'm telling you kid, don't touch my stuff!" He pointed at me and went to the other cabinet.

Funny, I was blamed for taking his wallet, while I was the one who understood and worked for myself. "I don't know what you're talking about, and I'm coming in." I picked up my bag but Mama grabbed me. Took the remaining whole money from my pocket.

"Just don't let me know that you're robbing me, you'll run away from my house, Adelrina. I'm not happy with the way you're a human." I was passed and fell on my shoulder as I also went out of my room, I saw that Mama handed Drew the money and he left.

I am still afflicted, while they have no help for me. I wish I could go away and go solo, even if I sleep in this house, I still have to pay my parents.

Drew called a tricycle and I was walking, out of the corner and the jeep was still far away. It's still early so I won't be late to the hotel.

I don't know where to get money. I still have a debt from the store to pay off, a debt that I haven't even taken advantage of.

A car stopped in front of me and the driver got out, my chest pounded and I suddenly felt nervous. I couldn't lose the smile on my lips and my annoyance was gone now.

"You live here?" I smiled and nodded slowly, this is the man I saw at the hotel, he was wearing pants and rubber shoes. It looks like it's from jogging because it's wearing a sweat shirt.

"Come with me. We're going to the same place," he offered and I immediately shook my head, it's embarrassing and I still have a fare, maybe later he'll think I'm easy to get.

"No, it's fine. And I still have something to go through." I retreated but it came closer to me, our distance was not that far.

"I can drop you there, don't worry. I won't run you over or do anything bad," he joked and scratched the back of her neck. "I will buy some breakfast too, just accept it. I will not leave here until you agree." He leaned on his car and I was stunned for a moment.

Apart from the fact that I was stunned by his beauty and I remembered the scene I wrote last night, my palm covered my mouth and I felt like I was being played with now. Why are the scenes that I wrote happening to me and I feel like I'm the girl now.

"Alright, you're insistent." I walked to the door and he opened the door for me. I sat in the passenger seat and he jogged to the driver's seat and started driving.

"I am Jericho." His palm is now in front of me and it's down to shake hands, I smile and accept it. "Adelrina Eslava." I shook his hand and he almost didn't want to let go of my hand, we stopped at a coffee shop and right there was an ATM machine there, I had to withdraw again.

I really don't have any money anymore, and my savings in the bank account are for my college and it's not even big and it will be enough to pay for one semester but I'm reducing it immediately.

"Come with me, join me for breakfast," he said and I nodded and joined him. He walked into the shop first and I followed. I sat down and immediately took out my phone, to check my draft last night.

I was dumbfounded and it felt like I was being played with, I can't remember what I wrote last night because apart from having a problem with Drew, I just want to finish my update because I'm already absent and it's not allowed to miss a story update.

"Here, have a great breakfast with me." He put down the food and suddenly I was hungry, it was all rice meal so I immediately turned off my phone. I was hungry , apart from the deliciousness of my company, the food that was served was delicious.

"Eat well, so you have strength and you won't be weak when you're at the front desk." He smiled and I felt my face heat up. He notices me, he knows I'm at the front desk. So it means that he really notices me, I'm beautiful, so he can really notice me.

"Thank you, I'm really going to eat. I'm hungry," I said and started eating and didn't wait for him to speak again. My food is delicious, it seems like I haven't eaten well for two days because I have no money and I still have a problem with work because after my ojt is over it might take me a long time to find a job.

"Adelrina, how's your work at the hotel?" he started asking and I looked at him, sipping ice tea.

"It's okay, people are kind. Like you, kind." I smiled and Jericho laughed at what I said and sipped his ice tea.

"I like your vibe, and you look lovely too." I look away and try not to smile, I'm not thrilled. It's really nice to be complimented and told that I'm beautiful and things that I want to hear and do from other people.

"What are you, if I believe what you say!" I was joking, it just laughed and ate again.

For the first time, I feel that my problems vanish even if it was for a while.
