Chapter 8 Kiss me

Ruan Qing heard the man say, and her smile froze on her face. Taking a deep breath, she expressed her gratitude, "Sir, you're right, and I really appreciate your help. Once I'm out of trouble, I'll definitely reward you generously for your kindness today."

Ruan Qing's voice remained feminine, but the seductive charm vanished, replaced by a clear and crisp tone, not revealing herself now that the inspectors had left.

"But you still don't understand," the man chuckled, shaking his head slightly as he sat on the bed. His gaze on Ruan Qing carried a hint of ambiguity and recklessness.

The man was handsome, with a straight nose and chiseled features, even when smiling, he exuded a cold aura. He noticed the girl's silence and continued slowly, "Gu Zhaoxi is not someone to mess with. He's already locked down Fengya, haven't you realized you can't leave on your own?"

"As long as you're smart enough and offer a little reward, perhaps a kind-hearted person might help you leave." The man's gaze roamed freely over Ruan Qing, eventually settling on her delicate face, his smile carrying a suggestive tone. "What do you think?"

If it were anyone else, such a demeanor and expression might come off as sleazy, but the man seemed more like an authoritative CEO, leading people to follow his line of thought.

Ruan Qing remained silent, as if struggling internally.

The man lifted his eyebrows, knowing the girl was wavering. In such moments, a little push...

He stood up straight, closing the distance between them until he could smell the faint fragrance emanating from her. It was like pear blossoms mixed with orchids, giving a sense of secluded elegance.

Clean and pure, it seemed to cleanse all impurities from the heart, yet it could also stir desires hidden deep within.

The man knew he didn't need to be patient anymore. If the girl was depending on him, what harm could a little more forwardness do?

He wrapped his arm around her slender waist, pulling her closer until she was beneath him.

The girl's bright eyes shimmered with uncertainty, her long eyelashes fluttering like feathers. Her silky hair spread over the pristine white pillow, her fair neck peeking from beneath slightly disheveled clothes. Reflected in her eyes, he seemed to be her entire world.

The man's gaze, deep and mysterious, locked onto the girl's. After a moment, he lightly brushed her rosy lips with his thumb, moving closer until their breaths intertwined, noses almost touching, exuding an undeniable sense of intimacy.

Ruan Qing hadn't expected the man to act so suddenly. When she realized, he was already pressing down on her.

This proximity was too intimate. Ruan Qing reached out to push the man away, but as soon as she did, his other hand grabbed her wrist, pinning it above her head, rendering her unable to move.

The man raised the girl's chin slightly, his tone almost commanding, "Kiss me."

Ruan Qing felt flustered, trying to shake off the man's hand. "But, um, things like this should be taken slowly, right? We've only just met, and I'm, I'm not feeling well..."

"Jiyin," the man interrupted the girl's hesitation, running his fingers through her tousled hair. "What's your name?"

"Xiaoya," Ruan Qing shifted her hand, feeling the tight grip on her wrist, a hint of complaint in her voice. "You're hurting me."

"Now we've been properly introduced, haven't we?" Jiyin chuckled softly, releasing Ruan Qing's hand but still maintaining their close proximity. "Kiss me."

Ruan Qing didn't refuse, only reaching out to rub the wrist that had been held tightly, looking at the man with a slightly pitiful expression. "Can you sit up first? You're too heavy."

The girl's voice was crisp, as if the sound of jade beads falling onto a jade plate, carrying a hint of coquetry that made it impossible to refuse any of her requests.

Jiyin felt a tickle of amusement at her words, slowly sitting up next to the girl, watching her with leisure, waiting for her next move.

Ruan Qing sat up, his clothes already hiked up in the struggle, revealing thighs as fair as jade. The fabric barely covered the upper thighs, igniting irresistible fantasies.

Straightening up, Ruan Qing knelt in front of Jiyin and leaned in closer.

It was evident that the girl was not accustomed to such actions, as her face flushed slightly, making it hard to look away.

Perhaps Jiyin's gaze was too intense, as the girl, feeling embarrassed, scolded him, "Close your eyes!"

Raising an eyebrow, Jiyin obediently shut his eyes, resembling a prince awaiting the kiss to awaken him.

The live chat exploded.

[Damn it! Who does he think he is?]

[I've never seen such shamelessness. Is this the legendary X-men?]

[I'm furious! Why is he so arrogant? Just because he helped you a bit?]

[Damn it! Who does he think he is?]

With a loud "bang," the barrage quieted down, and the whole world seemed to still.

Because instead of receiving the princess's kiss, the prince got a fatal blow from the hunter, fainting in disbelief.

The audience stared in shock at the live stream, never expecting such a turn of events.

Before asking the man to close his eyes, Ruan Qing swiftly grabbed the vase from the bedside table and mercilessly smashed it against the back of his head.

There was no hesitation, no mercy.

Though the audience felt satisfied with the blow, they also felt a chill down their spines.

Ruan Qing stared expressionlessly at the fallen man, appearing no different from her earlier coquettish self.

The vase in Ruan Qing's hand was originally used to hold flowers by the bedside.

But because of the force, it had shattered.

Fortunately, being on the bed muffled the sound of the fragments hitting the ground, and the room's soundproofing was quite good, so the noise didn't cause any commotion.

Before entering the room, Ruan Qing had noticed that this was the innermost room on the third floor, with a main road right below the window.

That's why he chose this room.

Ruan Qing wasted no time, kicking the obstructing man off the bed with one swift motion, then pulling out a small knife from his bag and cutting the bedsheets into strips.

This was the third floor, and jumping straight down would result in injury if not death.

The Fengya Bar was located in a bustling area, with the main street right outside the door, but the third floor was the deepest part of Fengya, facing an obscure alley outside.

Ruan Qing tied the strips together to form a rope, securing one end to the bed frame and the other around his waist, then slowly climbed out of the third-floor window.

Ruan Qing's body was too weak, and today he had been in a highly concentrated state of mind, so by the time he reached the first floor, he was panting heavily, even breaking into a cold sweat.

But he didn't have any time to rest; he had to leave immediately.

The alley was dimly lit, with only one light at the far end, casting the rest into darkness.

It was eerily quiet, devoid of the liveliness of Fengya, as if it existed in a different world.

There were no lights at the exit of the alley.

After hesitating for a moment, Ruan Qing decided to slowly walk into the darkness.

The night was thick, enveloping everything in darkness, and the whole world was eerily silent.

But at first listen, it seemed like there was something, some rustling, scattered sounds, as if something was approaching in the darkness, sending shivers down one's spine.

But when Ruan Qing stopped and listened carefully, the sound disappeared.

Clutching the strap of his shoulder bag tightly, Ruan Qing summoned his courage and turned to look back. In the pitch-black darkness behind him, there was nothing.

There was clearly nothing there, but Ruan Qing felt something was wrong, even feeling that eerie sensation growing stronger.

Anxiously, Ruan Qing quickened his pace, and eventually, ignoring his weakened body, began to run.
