Chapter 5 Consummate the marriage

She found herself on the verge of peeing her pants. What was it with this man that made everyone around him jittery? Maybe it was because she had not know him before. Maybe if she had known him earlier, she would've figured out how best to handle him. He didn't look like the kind of man that would command fear in anyone, but there was something about how he spoke that made people quiver.

"I went out." She responded, trying so hard to hide the fear in her voice, but it was so obvious that her voice was shaky.

Will stood up, and gestured for her to come back down the stairs. She wanted to be that rebellious teenager that acted unprovoked, and just barge into her room, but she found herself doing as he instructed. It felt like she was being dragged to him.

Will took three steps forward, and stood directly in front of her. Her eyes dropped to her feet. Will smirked when she did that, but he quickly wiped the smirk off before she saw him. He knew that she was scared, and he would use that against her.

"You dare violate my orders," he began, "you underestimate me, don't you?" He asked, still standing in front of her.

Ella was quiet. She wasn't sure if she should respond to his question or just remain quiet. She chose the latter.

"Answer me!" Will thundered. His commanding voice came as a shock, and Ella shuddered.

"I-I," she stammered, trying to meet his gaze but failing.

"You what?" He continued, lowering his voice a bit now.

"I needed to see Diane, and you wouldn't let me, so I snuck out." She explained.

"You snuck out." Will repeated, squeezing his fist into a punch so that Ella could see, "you dare sneak out of my mansion? Without my permission? You're quite bold, I tell you! Really bold!"

Ella's heartbeat tripled. She could feel tiny beads of sweat form on her forehead, and her palms were sweaty. She didn't know if she should just apologize, and get going, or if she should face him, and let him know that he couldn't control her.

She found herself doing the former. "I-I am sorry..." she whispered.

She hated how he made her feel so weak and inferior. This wasn't who she was. If there was anything being alone for most part of her life had taught her, it would be to be independent, and stand up for herself when the need arises, or when she felt she was treated poorly, and this situation was one of them.

"I didn't hear you." Will responded, and she looked up at him. She saw the glitter in his eyes. He was enjoying what was going on, and she definitely would not continue being an object for his strange pleasure.

Who did he think he was that he could make her feel less of herself? He was human, just like she was, and the only difference between both of them was that he was wealthier than she was by a wide margin.

If he thought that he could step on her, and keep her under his feet, he was darn wrong to believe so! They were business partners, they were supposed to work together to deceive his mother for a year, and it was not once stated in the stupid contract that she had to worship him.

She wished that she could say everything that was running through her mind to his face, but deep down, she knew that she needed the money from the contract to fund her dream of owning a restaurant. If he got angry, and decided to call the contract off, she would be the worst loser ever, because it would prove everyone who had a misconception about her right. It would mean that he saw her true colors, and decided to divorce her. It would mean a lifetime of online harassment without anything tangible to show for it.

She weighed the pros and cons quickly in her mind. Will was just there staring at her, and expecting a response from her. She would give him a response, even though it wasn't the one he truly deserved.

"I said I was sorry." She finally said.

"You said you was? That means you're no longer sorry for disobeying my orders." Will stated, annoying her the more.

"What's with you and your du..." she started impulsively, but quickly stopped herself before she completed the word 'dumb'.

"What did you just say to me?" He asked, his voice sounding even more threatening that it was before. "Did you just call me dumb?! Are you out of your mind?!"

"No I didn't say dumb, I said du-ra-ble orders..." she lied, smiling sheepishly. She wasn't ready to see what his reaction would be if he found out that she threw a direct insult at him.

"Good for you, now wipe that nightmare you call a smile off your face.Just know that you have lost every ounce of freedom I intended to give you, and if you keep on acting foolishly, it'd get worse." He replied sternly, and stormed upstairs to his room.

Ella stood on the same spot for a few moments thinking about her life choices. She was really terrible at picking the right men for herself, whether it was a pretend relationship or a real one.

Her last relationship landed her in a hospital, because she was beaten by her boyfriend, and now she willingly accepted to marry a man that was obviously after her life and happiness.

If she eventually came out of this one alive, she would definitely make better choices for herself. That was a promise she made inwardly to herself.

She dragged her feet up to her room, because she was really exhausted from her very busy day.

When she finally got to her room, she made sure to lock it so that Will wouldn't enter without her permission.

She heaved a huge sigh, and her stomach growled. She had totally forgotten to eat all day, aside for the doughnuts Diane offered her in her house.

She didn't want to go back downstairs because she might run into Will, but she really had no other option. Surely, whatever they made for dinner should be leftover.

She slipped into a comfy night dress, and made her way to where she assumed the kitchen would be. Thankfully, she was right, because she wasn't about to add getting lost in that humongous house to her list of terrible things that happened that day.

However, she met the annoying housekeeper preparing something in there. She rolled her eyes, because she didn't think that she'd have to deal with the annoying housekeeper until the next day.

She suddenly remembered that she had pushed the woman when she wanted to leave the house earlier, and she suddenly felt bad. She would apologize.

"Hi," she said, beaming with a smile.

The housekeeper forced a smile back and responded, "Good evening ma'am," with a slight curtsy.

"I'm sorry about earlier. I didn't mean to push you so hard, I was just really frustrated." Ella apologized.

The housekeepers smile became genuine, and she instantly became cautious, wiping the genuine smile off her lips. "There's no need to apologize to me, ma'am. You are the Master's wife, and you have the same authority as he does."

Ella was tempted to ask more questions like why they were all so afraid of him, but from the way she perceived the housekeeper, she wouldn't say anything bad about him.

"I see you're making yourself a quick snack." Ella said, changing the topic entirely.

"Oh this isn't for me, ma'am. It's for the Master. Your husband." The housekeeper replied, arranging a few slices of bread in a plate. "Would you prefer to take it upstairs ma'am? Considering tonight is your wedding night, and you both should do what married people do on their wedding night?" The housekeeper continued, winking at Ella after her last statement.

Ella cringed at the thought of what the woman was saying. If only she knew that they were only businesses partners, she wouldn't say anything about consummating their marriage.

"I know you're scared of him, ma'am, but I tell you, he's the most loving man you'd ever meet. He just has a weird way of showing affection, you will understand soon." The housekeeper continued when she didn't get a response from Ella.

Ella gagged silently at what the woman was saying, and she couldn't wait for her to be done, and leave.

"You may be wondering why he has asked you to sleep in a separate room. It's because he likes his privacy so much, and with time he'd adjust to the fact that he now has a wife."

Can she just stop talking already? Ella blamed herself because she initiated the conversation. If part of her job wasn't to make her marriage to Will believable, she would have long told the woman the truth and stopped her from talking too much. She just smiled at everything the woman said. Consummate their marriage indeed. She didn't know when she chuckled.

"It sounds funny right now, but you will be the one asking for it pretty soon." The housekeeper said, laughing softly.

Again, Ella held in her gag.

Finally, the woman was done arranging Will's food. She would leave, and Ella would do what she came down to do.

"Here you go." The woman said, handing the tray over to Ella.

She didn't know that the woman was really serious about taking the food upstairs to consummate her so called marriage!

However, she took the tray from the woman, and gave her an awkward smile. The woman smiled back at her.

Before Ella turned around to leave, the woman adjusted her hair, and her dress. "You have to look ravishing for the Master, your husband, ma'am. This dress would definitely do the trick!" The middle aged woman exclaimed.

Ella could vow that she puked in her mouth this time, but it was just in her head. She didn't puke.

If she was ever going to give any man her virginity, it definitely wasn't the rude and arrogant Will Sanders.

She however, took the food upstairs to Will's room to avoid questioning. When she knocked and stood at the door waiting for him to open up, she suddenly felt naked. Her dress was really light, and she wasn't sure she'd be comfortable meeting him dressed like that.

It was too late though, the lock clicked, and the door opened.

Will was on a call. Who was he talking to at that time of the night? She brushed the thought aside. It wasn't her business anyway.

He gave her a puzzled look, and scrutinized her appearance from her head down to her toes. Why was she dressed like that, and why was she with his food?

He stretched his head out to see if the housekeeper was following behind, but he didn't find her.

"Let me call you back, Jessica." He said, and hung up immediately.

He confirmed her suspicion when he mentioned Jessica. Who was Jessica, and why were they speaking so late into the night?

She brushed the thought aside again. It really wasn't her business.

She stretched the tray to him for him to receive the food, but he looked at her quizzically again.

Finally, he popped the long awaited question: "What are you doing here?"
