Chapter 1 Chapter 1 Let's Get Divorced

At midnight.

Julia Lindesay heard the door open. Then, the footsteps got closer and closer to her bedside.

She smelled the wine on his breath.

"Turn around. Don't look at me!" The man growled.

Her body was turned around and pressed on the quilt.

Next, she felt a surge of pain.

There was no trace of tenderness!

Julia's body became tense. "Wesley Straw!" She turned to stare at him angrily. "Are you afraid to look at me? Am I... Just a plaything for you?"

Wesley froze, but he made no reply.

He pinned her head against the pillow.

Julia felt that his indifference had plunged her into the deepest misery.

Her breathing was quick and uneven. She thought her heart had already hardened. But when she thought of that woman, she felt her heart was torn into two halves.

Wesley never had sex with her when he was awake, and never looked at her face. He just wanted her body.

Feeling her responses, Wesley suddenly became edgy. He got up and wanted to leave.

But Julia put her arm around his neck and pulled him back to her.

"What are you avoiding? Why don't you look at me? I am your wife..."

Her words seemed to bemuse Wesley. After a while, most of the drunkenness faded!

His face went cold. He pinched her shin. "If you hadn't played tricks, how could I have married you!"

"I didn't! Believe it or not!"

"You didn't?" Wesley sneered instead of being angry. "You climbed into my bed by any means. Isn't it just for the position of Mrs. Straw?"

Julia felt pain and despair. But she managed to smile. "If you like, I can admit it! It doesn't matter."

For fear of revealing her cowardice, she responded stubbornly.

At least she could keep her dignity in front of him. She didn't want to be humiliated.

Julia sat up and recalled their cold marriage in the past two years.

"Let's get divorced."

She sighed and pulled the quilt to cover her shoulders.

"I admit what you said! Please leave me!"

She never dared to say it. She knew that once she said it, her love would be shattered like a bubble!

Now she knew that she could never get him!

He was like sand in her hand. The tighter she held it, the faster it would be lost.

Her eyes were blind with tears. She fought back the tears. His cold and cruel words stabbed her in the heart with sudden pain.

Wesley felt a sudden surge of anger.

"Divorce? You don't deserve it!" There was a cruel smile on his face.

He had already sobered. In a rage, he turned and tore her nightgown to ribbons!

"Don't you want me to look at you? Do you like it?"

Wesley was never so out of control. He was crazier than ever!

Under him, Julia felt that her bones were falling apart.

However, she still smiled brightly. "There's no room for me in your heart. Why don't you divorce me and leave the position of Mrs. Straw to the woman you love?"

Wesley's eyes were dark. "As you wish."

He left the room and closed the door with a sharp bang.

He was so arrogant and cocky.

At this time, Wesley was furious.

His fists clenched slowly until his knuckles were white.

"Divorce?"

"How dare she ask for a divorce from me!" Wesley thought.
